Disney Dream Cruise

disneydreamcruise

The new Disney Dream cruise ship is now available for booking. Disney cruise lines are already known for their great family friendly ships – and the Disney Dream is going to take it to an even higher level!

You can always trust Disney to come up with something new and exciting and the feature of the Dream that everyone is talking about is the Aqua Duck – the first ever water coaster on board a ship!

This 765 foot one of a kind water coaster will allow guests to look out over the ocean 150 foot below! All this at speeds of up to 20 feet per second.

The exterior design of the Disney Dream is very traditional. But she will feature many innovative ideas such as Virtual Portholes, Enchanted Art and Living Creatures.

Virtual Portholes

A treat is in store for those guests in inside cabin – Virtual Portholes give a real time view of the scene outside the ship. Of course with everything Disney there is an extra twist. Guests may see Mickey Mouse or other Disney characters appear at the porthole too.

Enchanted Art

Only on a Disney cruise ship does the art actually come to life. Stroll around the ship and watch the scenes magically come to life in front of your eyes.

Living Characters

On any Disney cruise ship you will of course find all of your favorite Disney characters. But here is something new on the Dream. Using technology similar to that used for Turtle Talk With Crush in the Disney theme parks, animated characters will come to life in their own interactive experiences. Look out for Crush from Finding Nemo!

Disney makes sure that all members of the family are well looked after with the best kids programs at sea, family activities and adults only spaces.

Dining on the Disney Dream

The Dream will continue with the Disney tradition of Rotational Dine. You change restaurants every evening but your wait staff come with you so that they know just the way that you like everything.

There will be a re imagined Animator’s Palate, a Disney Princess inspired Royal Palace, and The Enchanted Garden.

Disney For Kids

Disney is well known for the best kids program at sea. There is certainly going to be plenty to keep the kids busy – almost a whole deck of space is devoted just to them. Check out Andy’s room where Toy Story comes to life. Be transported to the land of Tinker Bell in Pixie Hollow. Spend some time a the Monster’s Academy and the Explorer Pod.

For the tweens aged 11 to 13 there is The Edge – a special place to hang out. Even the sometimes difficult to please teens are catered for in Vibe. This is an exceptional indoor/outdoor space just for the teenagers.

Time For The Adults

Disney is always exceptional at incorporating adult’s only spaces and activities on their ships. Senses Spa and Salon covers 16,000 square feet of space to pamper to your every wish. It includes treatment rooms, ocean view gym, rainforest and spa villas.

The District is an adult only entertainment area with lounge, modern pub, upscale cocktail lounge, metropolitan “sky bar” nightclub.

If you want a wonderful meal with no children allowed then the Disney Dream has Palo – the reservations only gourmet restaurant which is so highly regarded on the Disney cruise ships.

Disney Dream Staterooms

Disney Dream is considerably larger than her sister ships the Wonder and the Magic.

1,100 outside staterooms
860 verandahs
199 ocean views
20 concierge family ocean view suites with verandah
19 concierge one-bedroom suites with verandah
2 concierge royal suites
