For 2012 the Disney Magic will cruise from New York. This is the first time that the Magic has cruised out of New York. There are 3 different itineraries which will sail from New York – an 8 night Bahamian cruise, a 5 night Canadian Disney cruise, and a 2 night weekend cruise.

Disney 8 Night Bahamian Cruise from New York

The itineraries give a wonderful opportunity to visit some great ports including Disney’s own private island Castaway Cay. Disney cruisers consistently say that Castaway Cay is their very favorite port.

The cruise from New York is also the only Disney cruise to have Walt Disney World as a port stop in the middle of the itinerary. The Disney Magic will sail to Port Canaveral in the middle of the cruise so that passengers have the chance to visit Walt Disney World. The cruise price includes a one day ticket and transportation to Walt Disney World so that passengers have the opportunity to easily visit the parks during their cruise. This is a unique feature not offered by any other cruise available.

The Disney Magic will sail from New York on May 25th, June 2nd, June 22nd, June 30th, July 20th, July 28th, August 17th, and August 25th 2012

The Disney Magic departs from New York on the Canadian cruises on June 10th, June 17th, July 8th, July 15th, August 5th, August 12th, September 2nd, September 7th, September 12th 2012.

All departures are on a Sunday except 7th September which is a Friday and 12th September which is a Wednesday.

Disney has not yet announced it’s itineraries for the Disney Magic or the Wonder for 2013 but I would guess that New York will once again be used as a home port for the Disney Magic. It seems likely that the Disney Wonder will be moving out of Los Angeles – Disney cancelled most of their Mexican cruises for December 2012 out of LA so it looks as though the ship will be set for a chance.

Disney Cruise to Hawaii 2012

You will have to be quick for this new Disney Cruise Kids Sail Free offer. These Disney cruise deals are limited and are always very popular. Disney Cruise Specials

Disney Cruise Lines is doing exceptionally well in completely selling out it’s staterooms on each sailing, particularly on the Disney Dream which is often fully booked months in advance so on most cruises it will be difficult to get a discount. Disney Mediterranean Cruise Discounts

The Disney Magic is sailing to Europe this summer 2011 and there is a special discount for one of those sailings. Disney Cruise Hawaii 2012

Disney Cruise Line has just announced that in 2012 they will be sailing to Hawaii out of Los Angeles. This is the first time that a Disney ship has ever sailed to Hawaii. The Disney Wonder sails out of the port of Los Angeles on 29th April 2012 for this very special 15 night cruise. The itinerary has plenty of relaxing days at sea, 4 port stops in Hawaii and a final call in Ensenada. Here is the itinerary:

It will be interesting to see how popular the Disney cruise ot Hawaii is. Staterooms go on sail today for Castaway Cay Club members and on 8th April to all other guests. It is certainly a very tempting prospect for my family. But I do know that many people don’t have the luxury of taking that much time for a vacation.

Traditionally the 14 night Disney Transatlantic cruises have not been best sellers but that is probably more due to the one way nature of the sailing than it’s duration. With the sailing to Hawaii you have the convenience of leaving out of and returning to Los Angeles. There are a lot of days at sea. For some this may be a little too many but for others (including me) the idea of that length of time on the Disney Wonder sounds like paradise! There is so much to do with a full schedule of organized events for both children and adults – or of course you can just sit back and relax and do very little at all!

When the Disney Wonder returns to Los Angeles on 14th May 2012 it will sail a repositioning cruise to Vancouver in preparation for her Alaskan summer sailings. For most of the summer the Disney Wonder will sail out of Seattle to Alaska (except one sailing on 21st May which will depart out of Vancouver).
