Disney Christmas Cruise 2010

Sharing is caring!

What better way to celebrate the Holidays than a Disney Christmas Cruise in 2010.? The Disney Wonder and Disney Magic will be sailing out of Cape Canaveral for some very special Christmas Disney fun. So what makes a Christmas cruise with Disney so special?

The Disney cruise ships start decorating for Christmas just before Thanksgiving. Of course Disney never does anything by halves and you will see the Holiday spirit everywhere. As soon as you enter the departure terminal you will see the Christmas decorations. Then you are welcomed on to the ship and step into the beautiful Holiday decorations in the atrium. There are 25 Christmas trees on each ship, with the largest at almost 3 decks in height being in the atrium. On the first night of your cruise make sure you watch the tree lighting ceremony. Watch out for the snow – of course Disney really can make it snow when it is 80 degrees!

All of your favorite Disney characters will be dressed in their Holiday wear. Christmas music will be playing all over the ship. Disney arranges seasonal crafts with activities for all ages. Perhaps you want to design your own Gingerbread House just like the amazing ones on the ship? Or listen to the story “Twas the Night Before Christmas’.

The restaurants will have special Christmas and Holiday food. Also you can see the special Christmas version of ‘Til We Meet Again. As you would expect Disney does a very fine job of making the Holidays very special. If you are sailing at New Year then be sure to watch the fireworks – a spectacle unique to Disney.

You will even find a Christmas theme on Disney’s private island Castaway Cay. There can’t be many tropical islands where you will find a 40 foot tall Christmas tree. Of course it snows here too……
