Get ready for Disney Cruise Halloween On The High Seas. A Disney cruise is wonderful at any time of the year, but just as in the parks, Disney Cruise Line makes The Holidays a very special time for their guests.
Halloween on the High Seas is a relatively new event for Disney Cruise Line. It debuted on the Disney Dream in 2013. It was such a success it was introduced to all the Disney ships in 2014.
Halloween on the High Seas will be offered on Disney cruises that sail in the following time frames:
Disney Magic – Oct. 4-28, 2015
Disney Wonder – Oct. 1-23, 2015
Disney Dream – Sept. 7-Oct. 30, 2015
Disney Fantasy – Sept. 5-Oct. 31, 2015
We will be sailing on the Disney Fantasy during the Halloween On The High Seas so will be sure to include lots of ghostly Halloween details in our trip reports
What Special Events Are Included In Disney Cruise Halloween On The High Seas?
For those guests who love dressing up in costume the Mickey’s Mouse-querade Party will be a blast. Pick your favorite Disney costume and join the characters for games, candy and dancing. The Disney characters will be wearing their special Halloween costumes.
It wouldn’t be a Disney Halloween without Jack Skellington and friends. A Nightmare Before Christmas – Sing and Scream is an interactive movie experience that has guests join in the movie experience. After the show there is a meet and greet with Jack Skellington and Sally.
Get out on deck for the Haunted Stories of the Sea. A mysterious story telling sea captain casts his spell on the audience to bring them ghostly stories under the stars.
There will be Halloween themed music and spooky announcements throughout these special cruises. Look out for the Creepy Cabaret.
For the grown ups only there is a costume contest held in each Disney cruise ships entertainment district. The Disney villains will be out in force on the dance floor.
Funnel Vision on deck and the Bueana Vista Theatre will also be playing Halloween themed movies. You can also watch these in your stateroom.
There will be so many other Halloween themed events as well including arts and crafts for the kids. Look out for Halloween themed food created by the Disney Chefs in all of the restaurants. Will you choose chocolate cake with pumpkin filling, spider cakes and “Spooky Juice.”
DCL first introduced “Halloween on the High Seas” in 2013, and was initially offered on select sailings aboard the Disney Dream. The holiday cruise has since been expanded to all four ships in the line in 2014, adding elements such as the atrium’s giant Pumpkin Trees.
