The Disneyland Blue Bayou is one of those very special dining experiences If you have not already dined at the Blue Bayou restaurant you really should give it a try.
This Disneyland Blue Bayou review includes menus which are up to date for July 2018.
The Disneyland Blue Bayou is set at the side of the start of the Pirates of the Caribbean ride in the park. The entrance is tucked away in one of the side streets in New Orleans Square in Disneyland.

The very best tables are by the water’s edge so that you can see the Pirates of the Caribbean boats float by. Ask if you can be seated at one of these and you may be in luck. To maximize your chances of getting a table by the water in the Blue Bayou, approach the podium at least 30 minutes prior to your reserved time. Ask nicely if you can be seated by the water. It may help if you have something special to celebrate such as a birthday or anniversary.
The Disneyland Blue Bayou is one of the most romantic restaurants in the park. The perfect place for a special occasional. However, it is also very child friendly. The atmosphere is upscale, relaxed and very unique. Kids are made to feel as welcome as the grown ups.
The lighting in the restaurant is very dim, and this adds to the relaxed ambiance. The servers tend to be excellent and very knowledgeable about the menu. It used to be difficult to actually see the menu at the Blue Bayou in the low lighting. However, new technology has been introduced with light up menus.

Disneyland Blue Bayou Fantasmic! Dining
If you want a good viewing spot for Fantasmic! you should consider this dining package. This features a 3-course prix fixe meal which includes admission to the reserved viewing area for Fantasmic!
We think that if you are considering dining at Blue Bayou this is a great option! It is getting more and more difficult to get a great viewing spot for Fantasmic! This package means that you know you will get a decent viewing spot which you won’t have to spend hours staking out. However, it is suggested that you still arrive about an hour early to get the best viewing spot.
When you dine at Blue Bayou with this package you will be given a FastPass to enter the special viewing spot. There can be two showings of Fantasmic! each day. The times are usually 9 pm and 10.30 pm.
The viewing spot is a good one. It is central and in front of Tom Sawyer Island. Guests sit on the floor, but Blue Bayou package holders are given a cushion. This is yours to take home. The River Belle Fantasmic! Dining Package has the same viewing spot, but does not include the cushion.
The Blue Bayou Fantasmic! Dining Package is $59 for lunch and $69 for dinner. The child pricing is $29 for lunch or dinner. Remember a child in Disney terms is aged between 3 and 9. Your 10 year old is an adult for pricing purposes. Tax and gratuity are extra.
For either lunch or dinner you will have an appetizer, entree and a dessert.
Blue Bayou Reservations
All Disneyland Dining, including Blue Bayou Reservations, open up 60 days ahead. You can make Disneyland Dining reservations at any of the parks or Disneyland hotels by calling (714) 781-DINE. You can also use the Disneyland Mobile App or book online at Disneyland Dining Reservations.
Disneyland restaurant reservations all need a credit card guarantee of $10 per person. Your credit card details will be taken at the time that you book. If you do not show up for your Disneyland dining reservation your card will be charged unless you cancel 24 hours before you are due to dine.
The Blue Bayou is one of the most popular restaurants in Disneyland. You are unlikely to get a table if you just show up at the restaurant. However, if you want to take a chance you will probably have more luck if you turn up late for dinner. Also you could try looking for a reservation the day before. As all Disney dining reservations now need a credit card guarantee, guests do cancel 24 hours before.
