Harambe Nights Coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Want to do something different? A new experience has just been announced – Harambe Nights at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. It is difficult to believe but it is now 20 years since The Lion King was released. Harambe Nights are being introduced to celebrate this special anniversary.

The Lion King show at Disney’s Animal Kingdom has always been a very popular attraction. It has been closed since the beginning of 2014 whilst a new venue, the Harambe Theatre, was being built. The new event will center around Harambe Village and the new Theatre.

Guests are first welcomed in Harambe Village with appetizers and African-inspired wine and beer. Guests will then take their seats inside the new Harambe Theatre for a performance of “The Lion King – Concert in the Wild.”

This is a new show which features a live orchestra and choir, dancers, digitally projected movie moments, and dramatic lighting and scenic elements.

Each show will have a celebrity guest narrator. Here is the published schedule of guests for this summer:

Viola Davis – June 7
TBD – June 14
Montego Glover – June 21
David Alan Grier – June 28
Michael Beach – July 5
Harry Lennix – July 12
Joe Morton – July 19

After the show guests will join the Harambe Nights Street Party, filled with music, characters, and live performers. There will be an all-inclusive buffet of African cuisine and gourmet desserts. Also promised are exclusive Lion King merchandise as well as a very memorable ending to the evening.

All magic comes with a price of course and for Harambe Nights this is $119 per adult and $79 for each child ages 3-9. You can also buy a Premium Ticket which gives you the best seating for the show. The Premium Tickets are $134 for adults and $94 for children. Tax not included.

This is likely to be very popular. You can make reservations by calling 407 939 1319 or online at Harambe Nights
