Disney Cruise 2014 Sailings

Disney Cruise 2014 sailings have just been announced. We now have Disney cruise itineraries for all the ships for early 2014. The Disney Dream, Fantasy and Magic will all be sailing out of Port Canaveral Florida, and the Disney Wonder will sail from her new port of Miami Florida.

We are rather disappointed that all of the Disney Cruise ships will be on the East Coast sailing out of Florida ports for what seems like most of 2014. We are hoping though that as the dates for the Disney Wonder have only been given until April 27th there will be a full schedule of Alaskan cruises for the Wonder for 2014. This means of course that there would also need to be a repositioning cruise from Miami to (hopefully) Los Angeles sailing on April 27th 2014 and then Los Angeles to Seattle or Vancouver. This is only our speculation at the moment but of course we will keep you updated when the itineraries are announced.

It seems likely too that the Disney Magic will return to Europe for summer 2014. These have been very popular cruises and sell out quickly so it would make sense if Disney cruise line is planning on sending the Magic back there for 2014.

Unfortunately we are not surprised that the Disney cruise ships will be mostly based out of Florida for 2014. These are the itineraries which sell very well. Of course one of the reasons for this is that Florida sailings can visit Disney’s private island Castaway Cay which is consistently voted one of the highlights of a Disney cruise.

A Disney Cruise is a wonderful experience at any time of year but during the Holidays it is particularly magical. There are special decorations, dining and entertainment.

Traditionally the sailings over the Holidays had been 8 nights and upwards so it is good to see the option of some shorter cruises – not everyone wants to or can afford the time to sail for a long time over the Holidays. So the Disney Dream Holiday cruises are highly likely to be very sought after. Book as early as you can to make sure you get the best choice of staterooms and prices.

Disney Mexican Cruises Kids Sail Free

Disney has just announced a great offer for Disney Wonder Mexican Riviera Cruises 2011. On select dates kids aged 17 and under sail free when sailing with 2 full fare paying adults. This can make a considerable difference to the price of a Disney Cruise.

Here are the ports of call:

Sunday Los Angeles
Monday At Sea
Tuesday At Sea

Last Minute Disney Cruise

lastminutedisneycruise

Is it really possible to get a great deal on a last minute Disney cruise? If you are flexible with your travel dates and stateroom choices then you most certainly can get a great deal on a last minute Disney cruise. You really just have to know how to look – and of course EverythingMouse Travel can help you.

“Last minute’ in the cruise industry tends to be seen as anything within about 3 months prior to sailing. Disney cruises tend to be better priced the earlier you make your booking. All the major cruise lines including Disney work on the idea that they offer their best deals as soon as the itinerary goes on sale. So booking as far ahead as you possibly can is always a good idea. Also if you have your heart set on a particular cabin or category of cabin then it is best to book early. Some dates are likely to sell out too – Holiday cruises for example – so always book ahead as far as you can.

But there comes a point when the cruise line has a ship which is not yet completely sold out and the sail date is getting near. This is the time to get your bargain last minute Disney cruise. It is unlikely that you will get your first choice of cabin but a great Disney Authorized Travel Agent will certainly be able to get you the very best deal.

Kids Sail Free on Select Disney Mediterranean Cruises

This is one of the best offers available at the moment on Disney cruises. It is valid for sailings 24th April to 26th May 2010. Kids 17 and under sail free on most 10 and 11 night Mediterranean cruises. Each child has to be sailing with 2 full fare paying passengers in the same stateroom. Government taxes and fees are not included. So if you are a family of 3 or 4 looking to travel on a Disney cruise around the Mediterranean this spring time this is a great offer.

Your Disney Travel Agent will also be able to advise you of any special offers. Often Disney cruises has particularly good deals for Florida Residents, Disney World Annual Passholder and Military Discounts.

Disney Cruise Deals

There are some great deals being offered by Disney Cruise Lines at the moment. These are some of the best deals I have seen in a long time. So if you are tempted to sail with Mickey Mouse then this is your chance!

There are two Disney Cruise ships – the Disney Magic and the Disney Wonder. Both usually sail out of Port Canavarel – just a short distance from Walt Disney World making it idea for land and sea vacation combinations.

So what are the current special deals?

If you book a 4 or 7 night Disney cruise during select nights this winter you can take a 3-Night Bahamian Cruise in fall 2009 for only $99 per person based on double occupancy. So not only can you enjoy one great Disney cruise but you get to go back again!

Disney Cruise Lines are also offering round-trip airfare of $199 per person from select airport locations east of the Mississippi when you book a 7-Night Caribbean Cruise or 7-Night Land and Sea Vacation starting in January 2009.

There are limitations to each offer of course but whichever way you look at it I think these are still great deals and may be the excuse you were looking for to finally go ahead and book that Disney cruise!

Are Disney cruises just for kids? Well Disney certainly provides for the grown ups just as much as the kids! There are several areas on the ships which are reserved just for adults, and they even have their own beach on Castaway Cay. If you travel as a family then the kids will be well taken care of in the Oceaneers Club. Disney really is about everyone in the family having the chance to do exactly what makes them happy. Quality family time with some alone time too!

You will never be at a loss for something to do on a Disney cruise. There really is something for everyone. The one thing that you won’t find on the Wonder or the Magic though is a casino. Disney took the decision not to allow gambling on it’s ships. This is something that personally I prefer. Although I love cruising, walking through the smoky casino on most ships is not something that I enjoy!

The entertainment on board is exactly how you would imagine it to be. Of a fabulously high Disney standard. A favorite is the new Toy Story show which is not to be missed if you are sailing on Disney Wonder.

I am looking forward to the new Disney Cruise Ships due to sail in 2011 and 2012. Disney have commissioned 2 new ships which are going to be even larger, and no doubt, even better than the Magic and the Wonder. There is a lot of speculation on where they will be based but I am guessing that at least one has to be on the West Coast and will have Mexican Riviera and Alaska itineraries. Purely speculation of course, but I would guess the other would go to Europe. What I do know is that I want to be one of the first on those new Disney ships!

If you would like to learn even more about a Disney cruise including more details on how to choose your itinerary, what all the different staterooms offer, and get a glimpse at Castaway Cay then I have written a free guide for you.
