1. Kiss The Girl – The Little Mermaid

An iconic song from Disney’s The Little Mermaid movie. Written by composer Alan Menken and lyricist Howard Ashman, this is a nice easy Disney ukelele song to start with.

If you’ve already been playing the ukulele for a while now, you’ll pick this up in no time. It only has four chords in it, all of which are really easy to play.

2. Hakuna Matata – The Lion King

Written by Elton John with lyrics by Tim Rice, Hakuna Matata is from the classic Disney movie The Lion King. You will have “no worries” with this upbeat, cheerful Disney song which is guaranteed to lift your spirit!

This one is a little more tricky, but it’s still easy to learn. It might take some time to get used to some of the chord transitions. Once you learn it though, it’s so much fun to play and it sounds great on the ukelele.

3. Hawaiian Roller Coaster Ride

This song from the delightful Disney movie Lilo and Stich is another great one to play on the ukelele. Imagine you on a Hawaiin Roller Coaster Ride with this very cheerful song.

Playing the opening riff is so much fun!

The one part that is a little tricky is when you play the Bb chord, but other than that it’s pretty easy! To make the Bb chord easier, just play the same notes on strings G, C, and E, and mute the A string by very lightly touching it with the fleshy part of your index finger (illustrated below in chord charts).

Or, you could just strum strings G, C, and E, and avoid strumming string A. This can be pretty difficult though.

This way, you don’t have to barre the two strings. It won’t sound exactly like the video, but it still sounds really good.

4. Do You Want To Build A Snowman? – Frozen

You always need a Frozen song in your collection of things to play! And for a change, this one is not Let it Go!

This is another very easy Disney song to play on the ukulele. I really love playing the intro for this one! It’s so much fun!

5. (Someone To) Lava – Lava

Not only is this one of the best Disney songs to play on the ukulele – it’s perhaps the best ukulele song there is. It is one of those very rare songs, let alone Disney songs, which was originally written for the ukelele.

The Disney Pixar movie short Lava revolves around the story told in this song. It is just a perfect song to learn, and it is one of the tunes which inspired me to learn to play the ukelele.

You really get that tropical feel when you’re playing it. And the best part is it’s really easy to play! There are only three chords and the strumming pattern is very simple.
