Cinderella Castle Suite Welcomes Tom Cruise and Suri

Sharing is caring!

There are some things which money can’t buy, and a reservation for a night in the Cinderella Castle Suite is one of them. No amount of money can buy a stay inside the Cinderella Castle in Disney’s Magic Kingdom. It just isn’t for sale. But of course Disney gets to choose who stays in the Cinderella Castle Suite. And Tom Cruise and his daughter Suri were the chosen ones for their visit to Walt Disney World this summer.

The only way to get to stay inside the Cinderella Castle Suite is to either win it in a competition, or be very famous! Tom Cruise certainly fits the famous criteria. The only other guests we are aware who have spent the night there as a result of being well known are Kevin Jonas and his wife back in December 2010.

The Cinderella Castle Suite was originally intended to be a place where Walt Disney and his family would stay. Sadly Walt died in 1966 and never saw the completion of the Magic Kingdom which opened in 1971. Up until the Year Of a Million Dreams in 2007 the space was under used, being empty for some of the time, used as a place for switchboard operators, and even just for storage at other times in it’s history.

This changed in 2006 when it was decided that a lavish suite would be created in Cinderella’s Castle and a night’s stay would be given away for every day during the Year of a Million Dreams celebration. Someone was chosen at the parks each day to spend the night, with up to 5 guests of their guests, in Cinderella’s Castle Suite.

The Cinderella Castle Suite is smaller than many people imagine, at 650 square feet – much smaller than the 2.600 square feet Disneyland Dream Suite in California. Access to the Suite is by private elevator.

One word to describe the design of the Cinderella Castle Suite is lavish. The ornate furnishings and decoration are based upon 17th Century French Chateau design, just like the exterior of Disney’s Cinderella Castle. The Suite sleeps up to 6 guests and has a bedroom with 2 Queen beds – fit for a Princess of course. Everything is magical inside the suite. Even the picture of Cinderella above the fireplace is not what it seems – and magically transforms into a flat screen television. The bathroom is what dreams are made of. It has a huge garden tub with ornate stained glass windows and a twinkling star ceiling.

Most of us can only imagine what it would be like to spend the night inside the Cinderella Castle Suite. Only for a very lucky few does the dream come true.

What do you think? Should Tom Cruise and Suri have been allowed to spend the night in the Cinderella Castle Suite? Leave me a comment below letting me know your views.

The suite should be reserved for Make A Wish type situations. Is there anything Tom Cruise doesn't already get?

Of course Tom Cruise was chosen to spend a night in Cinderella's suite ... Just to let us know without words that it is Mission Impossible to try to spend a night in that suite!??

Hello. Been attending the Magic Kingdom since I was 2. Now I am 55 with my adult children. Taken them to WDW 3 times, but now thinking about next summer. We currently reside in San Diego county. Our trip to WDW last summer was my only release of stress and brought happiness to us all; ( my older brother passed 2 weeks after we returned), so you can imagine the stress. My high functioning autistic son attends Platt University, only receives 1 week vacation during the summer. My daughter is a Journalism major at city, following my footsteps for I am an author of children's books. If you are interested in contacting me, my email address is [email protected] Best Regards & Thank you, Lisa Stevenson

I would love to give my granddaughters a wonderful memory that they would always have of their childhood . My husband bought a brick for my 50th birthday outside Disneylandand and it was so special.

It's absolutely not fair that him and his daughter are able to stay there. Tom Cruise has more then enough money to rent a suite. Why is it the people that can afford anything are always the ones that get everything for free? As a single mom I find it insulting that your willing to take MY money to help support your movies, clothing, toys, and amusement park tickets but we"re not good enough to stay in the castle. I'm sure Mr. Cruise and Suri enjoyed their special stay completely on Disney.
