Have you ever wished that you could get up close and personal with the wildlife at Disney’s Animal Kingdom? Now you will have the chance as Disney is introducing a new and exciting tour – The Wild African Trek.
Although Disney hasn’t yet specified whether guests under age 16 will be allowed on the tour I am guessing that because of the nature of the experience this one is going to be for the grown ups only. Part of this 3 hour experience is that you will step to the edge of a cliff to get a great view of the hippos and crocodiles. Never fear. You will have a safety line – but I am thinking this really isn’t an experience for the kids!
The 3 hour Animal Kingdom Wild Africa Trek will be limited to just 12 people per tour and will run several times a day. Guests will get to see parts of Harambe Wildlife Reserve which are usually closed off to the public. Each tour will be lead by an experienced guide and guests will travel in overland safari vehicles.
At the end of the tour guests will spend time at a private safari camp which is set up above the savannah. There they will watch the animals whilst sampling the Tastes of Africa.
To reserve the Disney Animal Kingdom Wild Africa Trek call 407 WDW TOUR. The price will vary seasonally. If you can book now and take a tour between January 16th and February 26th 2011 there is a discounted price of $129 per person. You will also need to have park admission to Animal Kingdom. It is highly likely to be one of the most popular Walt Disney World tours so book as soon as you can.
