Here is a sneak preview of the new Disney Channel original movie Descendants which will debut on Disney Channel on Friday, July 31th at 8/7 central. The idea sound like a good one and with Kenny Ortega who brought you the High School Musical phenomena this could be a big hit for Disney.
The story, as you would expect, revolves around the descendants of some very well known Disney characters.
Ben is the son of Belle and the Beast from Beauty and the Beast who are King and Queen of their kingdom of Auradon. At the beginning of the story Ben is ready to succeed to the throne.
Of course all is not well in the kingdom. Imagine the children of Malficent, The Evil Queen, Cruella d Vil and Jafar and you have Mal, Evie, Carlos and Jay. These difficult children have been on the Forbidden Isle of the Lost, but now there are back on Auradon. The story shows just what happens when these rebellious offspring attend school with the children of Fairy Godmother, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty and Mulan.
