Epcot Mexico Restaurants Guide – The Essential Guide Updated 2024

Sharing is caring!

Want to know more about the Disney Epcot Mexico Restaurants? This guide is fully updated for 2024.

The Mexico Pavilion in Epcot World Showcase is one of the most vibrant of all of the Epcot Countries. As you would expect, it is a great place to get some tasty Mexican food.

The Mexico Pavilion is housed inside an impressive recreation of a Mesoamerican pyramid. When you walk inside you arrive at a bustling, beautifully lit Mexican street market.

This really is one of the most vibrant and enjoyable of the Epcot Pavilions.

If you are visiting Epcot you must stop by to enjoy the atmosphere and shopping. If you have time then it is well worth taking some time to enjoy lunch, dinner, or even just a snack in the Mexico Pavilion.

Here is a guide and review of the Mexican Restaurants in Epcot World Showcase.

Which should you choose?

As you can see, the Epcot Mexico Pavilion is one of the most stunning of all of the Epcot park countries. You step inside the Plaza de la Amigos Marketplace.

This is one of the most unique settings in Epcot World Showcase – not least of which because it is a wonderful air-conditioned space to have a break from the Orlando heat!

There are two full-service Epcot Mexico Restaurants and one quick-service dining location. There is also a tequila bar.

San Angel Inn Restaurante – Epcot Mexico Restaurants

This bustling Mexican Restaurant in Epcot World Showcase is inspired by the original San Angel Inn which is located in Mexico City. The history of that restaurant can be traced back to 1692.

It is always twilight here in this which is many guests’ favorite of the Epcot Mexico Restaurants. You really can’t beat the ambiance here at San Angel Inn.

You are seated alongside the Mayan pyramid with the river running by.

If you get a seat by the river you can watch the boats on the Gran Fiesta Tour attraction.

The atmosphere of the San Angel Inn always reminds us of Blue Bayou Restaurant in Disneyland.

The food is very different, but the lighting and setting are similar. The Blue Bayou is located at the side of the start of the Pirates of the Caribbean ride, where you can watch guests sail slowly by.

San Angel has a capacity of 250 diners in its 12,00 square foot space.

It is eligible for the Disney Dining Plan and the Tables of Wonderland discount when those are offered.

La Hacienda de San Angel

Epcot Hacienda San Angel

La Hacienda de San Angel was opened in 2010 at the edge of the World Showcase Lagoon in front of the Mexico Pavilion.

The original space was taken up by an outdoor quick-service dining option.

However, Disney realized what prime real estate this was, as it is one of the best spots to view the Epcot Fireworks.

The most coveted tables at this Mexican restaurant are of course the ones at the side, next to the huge picture windows. Always be sure to ask for a table by the window.

As usual, there is no guarantee that you will get one of these prized tables, but it is certainly worth asking.

The decor is stunning, with the usual Disney attention to detail evident.

The blown glass work is created by Mexican artist Ernesto Cruz. Even the chairs and table were handmade in Mexico by local craftsmen.

La Cantina de San Angel – Epcot Mexico Restaurants

This is a very popular quick-service location in Epcot. The area used to be a lot bigger before it was taken over by the La Hacienda San Angel Restaurant.

There is still a good amount of outdoor seating for this Epcot counter service restaurant.

People do tend to stake out their place very early when the Epcot firework show is scheduled as this is one of the best vantage points around the whole of the World Showcase Lagoon.
