Where is the Illuminations Sparkling Dessert Party Held?

The Party is held close to the point where you enter World Showcase from the main Epcot entrance. It is to the left of the Gift Shop that you see as you enter Epcot World Showcase.

It is a very good location to view Epcot Illuminations. However, the set up of the Illuminations Sparkling Dessert Party is not ideal. You will still have to stand as there are no chairs available. There are high bar tables available so that you can put your plates and glasses down. However, there really aren’t enough tables so you will likely be balancing your plate and your drink somewhere.

The lack of any where to sit results in many people sitting on the floor before the fireworks start. Not all of the view points within this space are created equal. Some are undoubtedly better than others so, human nature being what is it, people will compete for those places. Really when you have paid $49 each you shouldn’t expect to still be sitting on the floor staking out your space.

What is the Food and Drink Provided at Epcot Illuminations Sparkling Dessert Party?

Here is a selection of the desserts provided at the Sparkling Dessert Party.

Traditional Baklava from Morocco
Pistachio Cannoli from Italy
Chocolate Ganache tarts from France
Crisped Rice Puffs inspired by Asian cuisine
Warm Chocolate Pudding from the United Kingdom
Strawberry Shortcake Bowl from the United States
Chocolate-laced brownies with Mickey confetti
Hand-dipped popcorn gelato
A display of fresh fruits
Warm, sun dried tomato cheese fondue
Pretzel bread sticks and crackers

The drinks are unlimited. Sparkling wine, including Prosecco, is available. The non alcoholic choices include lemonade, coffee, hot tea, iced tea and water.

The desserts are plentiful and you can eat as many as you want. Everything is served on plastic plates and in plastic glasses.

Is the Epcot Illuminations Sparkling Desserts Party Worth The Cost?

Our opinion is that there are some flaws with the Illuminations Sparkling Desserts Party. At $49 for adults we really do not think that it is worth the cost. The viewing place is good, but not good enough to justify the price tag. The desserts are fine, but nothing particularly special. If you want a glass of sparkling wine whilst watching Illuminations you can do that for a lot less than $49 by buying a glass from the Italy Pavilion.

If you do want to go ahead and book the Illuminations Sparkling Dessert Party you can do that by calling 407-WDW-PLAY. The Illuminations Party is scheduled at different times throughout the year. However, when it is offered the Party will run from 7.45 until 9.20 pm on that day.
