There are some amazing restaurants at the Grand Floridian Resort and Spa Hotel at Walt Disney World.

As you would expect, this flagship Disney Resort has a fabulous selection of restaurants with something for everyone.

Located just a short distance on the monorail from Magic Kingdom, this is a place where all Disney theme park guests should think about dining. You do not have to be a resort guest to enjoy the varied selection of restaurants at the Grand Floridian.

Here is a guide to all of the Grand Floridian Restaurants from one of the best dining experiences in the whole of North America to a fabulous Supercalifragilistic breakfast with Disney Characters.

There really is a dining experience for everyone at Disney’s Grand Floridan Resort and Spa.

Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort

One of the great things about all of these restaurants is that you can dine at the Grand Floridian Resort without having a Disney World park ticket.

This means that it is perfect for every Disney visitor as well as local Florida residents.

The Grand Floridian Resort and Spa is just one of those destination hotels which is worth visiting to see whether or not you are a Disney parks fanatic.

It is elegant, a symbol of luxury and decadence, and it is worth spending some tie here even without having to be a huge fan of the mouse.

There are some out-of-this-world dining experiences even if you have no interest in visiting the Disney Parks.

Disney’s Grand Floridian is the Disney World flagship hotel.

If you want the very best it is here.

However, unlike many 4 and 5-star resorts that I have stayed at, this one is welcoming and just has a very special feeling to it.

Whether you are stopping by for a quick snack or one of the finest dining experiences of your life, you have to visit the Disney Grand Floridian Hotel.

Apparently, Bob Chapek was not entirely happy with the flagship Grand Floridian and was concerned it was falling behind competitors such as the Four Seasons.

He, therefore, initiated some changes including the redesign of some of the restaurant spaces.

Of course, the shutdown delayed some of these changes, but now you can see the positive changes that the revamp has brought.

Disney Grand Floridian Resort and Spa Restaurants

There are some very different Grand Floridian dining experiences to choose from at these restaurants:

• 1900 Park Fare
• Citrico’s
• Narcoossee’s 
• Victoria & Albert’s
• Garden View Tea Room 
• Grand Floridian Cafe
• Enchanted Rose Lounge

There are also these Grand Floridian Quick Service Restaurants

• Gasparilla Island Grill
• Beaches Pool Bar
• Courtyard Pool Bar

All of these dining experiences are unique.

From character dining to fine dining, there really is a restaurant for everyone’s tastes and preferences at the Grand Floridian.

In this article, I will still reference the Disney Dining Plan – even though it has not existed for some time.

Put simply, the Disney Dining Plan was a way for Disney Hotel Resort guests to prepay for their meals as part of a package. You would get a certain number of credits which were calculated according to the length of your stay and which package you purchased.

Whether or not it used to save guests money is a much-debated question. It certainly could, but it certainly was not guaranteed to do so.

At this point, no one is sure whether or not the Disney Dining Plan will return.

Why still reference it if we don’t know if it will ever see the light of day again? It is just useful from the point of view of seeing different “categories” of restaurants.

Most sit-down restaurants required one dining credit. However, those designated Signature Dining Restaurants needed two.

As the Grand Floridian Resort and Spa has three Signature restaurants I thought it important to include this designation to show the high standards and therefore higher cost of some of these places to dine.

1900 Park Fare

Home of the Supercalifragilistic Breakfast, Cinderella’s Happily Ever After Dinner, and the Wonderland Tea Party at 1900 Park Fare this is one of the best places to dine with characters in Walt Disney World.

One of the great things about dining at 1900 Park Fare is that you do not need a theme park ticket if you want to dine with the characters.

There are other options for Disney character dining without a theme park ticket, but really this is probably the best in terms of character interaction and quality of the food.

The Supercalifragilistic Breakfast is something you really must experience at least once! The characters who usually attend are:

• Mary Poppins
• Alice in Wonderland
• The Mad Hatter
• Tigger
• Winnie the Pooh

Of course, this comes with the usual warning that character appearances are not guaranteed, but usually, this group of characters is at the 1900 Park Fare Breakfast.

I think that the quality of the food here is one of the best Disney World Character Dining Experiences.

The food is amazingly good considering that this is an all-you-can-eat restaurant.

Breakfast buffet offerings are the usual favorites with every combination of eggs possible, amazing waffles, and the very hard-to-resist white chocolate bread pudding with vanilla sauce.

You are not going to leave here hungry.

The price of the 1900 Park Fare breakfast is $45.00 for adults and $29.00 for children aged 3 to 9. Children under 3 are free.

These prices are correct for April 2023 and include tax but not gratuity.

Let me get sentimental here.

I had so many amazing Disney experiences with my daughter and I will cherish them forever. She adores Disney and we share the experiences as adults now.

And that’s amazing.

But as a mother, there is nothing quite the same as Disney World with your Princess adoring child.

Relish it now.

And make the most of every opportunity you have as it will be a wonderful memory.

1900 Park Fare offers Cinderella’s Happily Ever After Dinner.

If Cinderella is your Princess this really is one of the best places in the whole of Walt Disney World to meet and talk with her.

If you have your own Disney Princess who loves Cinderella and wants to have the experience of a lifetime, this really is the one to go for.

Again, the food is really good quality.

Disney Characters are never guaranteed but you are likely to meet

• Cinderella
• Prince Charming
• Madame Tremaine
• Drizella
• Anastasia

1900 Park Fare really is one of the best places to meet these characters.

There are rare opportunities in the Disney parks to meet the Disney villains, and Madame Tremaine, Drizella, and Anastasia just usually aren’t out there.

So this is an amazing chance to meet them and in my experience, they are very entertaining. Prince Charming, I could do without – but maybe that’s just me!

The 1900 Park Fare dinner is served from 4.00 pm to 8.50 pm each day.

It is an all-you-care-to-eat buffet priced at $60 for adults and between $39 for children aged 3 to 9. The under 3s are free.

Citricos at Disney’s Grand Floridian

This fine dining restaurant is often overlooked when people are thinking of places to dine in Disney World. Citricos is definitely one of the lesser-known restaurants in Walt Disney World.

It is one of the three Signature Dining Restaurants in the Grand Floridian.

This means it is designated as a fine dining experience. In the days of the Disney Dining Plan, it required 2 credits to dine here.

Citricos underwent a complete redesign and reopened in the summer of 2021. This was a year later than anticipated as a result of the shutdown, but it was certainly worth waiting for.

There was speculation that it was going to be renamed Victoria and Albert’s Bistro. However, this didn’t happen and the name remained the same.

What did change was the theme and overall look of this Grand Floridian Restaurant.

The slightly formal feeling is gone and replaced by a lighter-hearted Mary Poppins Returns theme.

Freshly painted green and white walls, with leaf designs in the decor give the restaurant a very light and airy feel – particularly with the huge windows at the side of the room.

Different colored chairs, some with flowers on the upholstery design, all add to the outdoor upscale, but fun ambiance. This may be a Signature Dining Restaurant but it is definitely not stuffy. Families are going to feel welcome here.

There is a huge open kitchen where you can watch your food being prepared.

Appetizers are priced from $16 to $21 and include a delicious Strawberry Salad, Smoked Duck Breast, and Wild Mushrooms Arancini.

Entrees are priced around the $40 to $60 range, so this is not an inexpensive meal. Selections include Barbecued Short Ribs, Butter Poached Mahi Mahi, Prime New York Strip, and a Plant-Based House Made Rigatoni.

Desserts are priced from $12 to $14 and include an Orange Blossom Flan and a
Blackberry Tartelette.

Citricos Menu

Narcoossee’s

Another Grand Floridian restaurant that has recently undergone a refurbishment is Narcoossee’s.

This restaurant closed in the summer of 2022 and reopened in April 2023.

The redesign is a huge improvement, with more space between the tables, and rich blue tones which enhance the view from the huge windows at the side of the restaurant.

This restaurant is known for its amazing views of the Seven Seas Lagoon and the Magic Kingdom – and its wonderful seafood menu.

Narcoosee’s is a Signature Dining Restaurant, so if the Disney Dining Plan is restored you will need to use two dining credits. It is well worth it though.

It is another one of those hidden gem Disney restaurants, because of its location.

It is set right by the Lagoon so it is a long walk from the Grand Floridian lobby.

It isn’t somewhere you will stumble upon – you have to know it is there!

The setting is one of the best in Disney World.

If you want the best views then ask for a window side table. Cast Members will always do their best to accommodate you, but you have the most chance of snagging a table-side window if you have a party of 4 people.

If you don’t get a window seat, you can still have a good view out of the window as the inner tables are set higher than the outer ones.

The food is excellent, particularly if you enjoy seafood.

The menu has enjoyed a revamp since reopening. Try the new Ocean-inspired Charcuterie Board with Ahi Tuna Pastrami, Charred Octopus, Lobster Sausage a $28 appetizer that is beautifully presented and large enough to share.

It’s good to see a Roasted Vegetable Paella. Often vegetarian entrees lack imagination, but this is a plant-based combination of market Vegetables, Cannellini Beans, Preserved Artichoke, and Charred Meyer Lemon.

The 12-oz Prime New York Strip Steak is $59 and the Plancha-Seared Scallops & Parisian Gnocchi is $52, so this is not an inexpensive place to dine. But the combination of beautiful decor, relaxed but excellent service, and fabulous food, make this a Grand Floridian restaurant that should be high on your list of must-do experiences.

Grand Floridian Cafe

The next time you are at Disney World make sure you try the Grand Floridian Cafe Breakfast.

This is a Disney World restaurant that manages to be elegant but relaxed at the same time.

The Grand Floridian Cafe serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Prices are higher here than in many other Disney restaurants, but so is the quality of the food.

The atmosphere and decor are a little more casual than the Signature Restaurants, but the interior design is still incredibly well done, with a Victorian upscale theme.

Brunch offers a traditional breakfast menu with such items as Traditional Eggs Benedict for $17 and a Mickey Waffle for $15.

If you are there for lunch try the Grand Floridian Café Signature Burge for $21.

They also offer the Impossible Burger which is a fabulous Plant Based alternative that even if you aren’t vegetarian or vegan, you should give it a try.

Garden View Tea Room

This is temporarily unavailable – with no official word as to when it will return.

Step back into a bygone age and enjoy the traditional English ritual of afternoon tea in the delightful Garden View Tea Room at the Grand Floridian.

Tea is served from 12 to 4 pm daily.

Being English I can of course confirm that no one I have ever known actually indulges in this tradition in real life – but it’s good to pretend we actually do!

This is one of those things which you really should do at least once when you visit Disney World.

The Tea Room is the very picture of Victorian elegance, with starched white tablecloths and beautiful china plates and cups.

It is the perfect place for a Mother-Daughter experience or to celebrate a special occasion.

If you are not a fan of English Breakfast Tea there is no need to worry – there are plenty of traditional and herbal teas to choose from.

The experience does not come cheap. The portions are decent but do be prepared for a certain amount of sticker shock.

Bedfordshire Tea is the lowest-priced option at $35.

For this, you have finger sandwiches, scones, jam tarts, and pastries.

The Berkshire Tea is for two and includes 2 glasses of Veuve Cliquot Champagne for $150.

If you want to be even more extravagant you can have the Yorkshire Tea for $175 for two. This includes a First Course of North American Caviar.

Victoria and Albert’s

If you are looking for the very best dining at Disney World and many would say it’s amongst the best dining in North America, get a reservation for Victoria and Albert’s.

This is Disney’s premier fine-dining restaurant.

Victoria and Albert’s has, amongst many other accolades, the AAA’s highest achievement, the Five Diamond Award, and Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star rating.

This is an exceptional dining experience.

There are three separate dining experiences. The Dining Room, Queen Victoria’s Room, and Chef’s Table. 

Victoria and Albert’s is another Grand Floridian Restaurant that has recently been refurbished and opened again in the Summer of 2022.

All prices are correct for April 2023. They do not include tax and gratuity.

The beautiful Victoria and Albert’s Dining Room has just 14 tables and there is only one seating each evening.

The 7-course Tasting Menu Prix Fixe Menu is $295 per Guest. Wine Pairings are additional and begin at $150 or $110 for zero proof.
