Santa Fe Hotel Disneyland Paris

Sharing is caring!

The Santa Fe Hotel  Disneyland Paris offers comfortable and  convenient hotel accommodation for groups and families visiting the park. If you are looking for a good value onsite hotel this is a great choice. With a free shuttle service located on the site, in only five minutes you can find yourself strolling through the Disney Village and Parks. If you don’t want to take the bus you can enjoy a leisurely walk that takes about ten minutes along the river running adjacent to the Santa Fe; this can be a great way (particularly in the summer) to start your day of fun and activity at Disneyland Paris.

Designed by Albuquerque-based architect Antoine Pedrock, the Hotel Sante Fe was opened in 1992 along with the rest of the Disneyland Paris Park. The theme is the Ameican South West of New Mexico. Scattered throughout the premises are cacti and various other species of desert foliage, a drive-in-theatre screen, and and even large portrait of Clint Eastwood, just in case you haven’t got the theme already! Set amongst these features are the Santa Fe’s Hotel rooms, their outer appearance bright orange to give the illusion of sand based construction. The theme is further reinforced by the close proximity and often visible features of the Cheyenne hotel just across the river – if you wish in just five minutes you can cross the border and wander the pre 20th century cowboy streets of the South-West American Border States.

Disneyland Paris Santa Fe Hotel Rooms

What are the rooms at the Santa Fe Hotel like?

A standard room at Santa Fe can comfortably accommodate up to 4 visitors (plus room for one child under 3), with either two double beds or one double and one bunk bed. In 21 square metres of space is a bathroom, telephone, television with Disneyland and international channels, a radio and a ceiling fan. Another nice feature are the complimentary  Disneyland toiletries.
Decorated in a wonderful Navajo design the rooms are always maintained at a very good standard of cleanliness..
As well as the standard room the Santa Fe gives you the option of two slightly more expensive rooms, the Rio Grande and the Eldorado. Each of these can accommodate two people and are supplied with everything that comes with the standard rooms. What the Santa Fe intended for these room option is to cater more specifically for a guests desired room location. For those wanting to chill out and relax after a hard day in the Disney Paris parks, the Rio Grande offers the more peaceful and tranquil side of the Santa Fe complex. The Eldorado is positioned closest to the on-site restaurant, bar, shop and games room for those wanting to get the most out of the facilities and experiences of the Santa Fe.
For those guests looking for a large luxury room that will spend most of its time occupied, the Santa Fe is not  the place for you. But for those who seek to soak up as much of the Disney Park experience as possible, the Santa Fe Hotel provides a basic yet fun place for much needed sleep and rejuvenation. The rooms certainly favour convenience and basic comforts over luxuries and elaborate relaxation facilities. Expect a good standard clean 2 star hotel with some great theming and you won’t go far wrong.

Disneyland Santa Fe Hotel Dining Options
What are the food and dining facilities at the Santa Fe Hotel? Each morning from 7-11am the guests and the hotel enjoy a complimentary continental breakfast in a large Mexican style decorated hall. Due to the sheer volume of guests that are usually involved at the breakfast times you are given  a specific time to attend by a member of staff in an attempt to ensure some degree of crowd control and therefore a more relaxed morning meal. But nevertheless the most common complaint about the Santa Fe is that the breakfast buffet is very crowded.

The quality and availability of the food is generally good. The breakfast is continental style so the choice includes  fresh croissants (plain and chocolate) and mini bread rolls, and a selection of meat, jam, butter and cheese are available. There is also a small selection of cereals. Tea, coffee, hot chocolate, fresh orange juice and milk are also included. This breakfast is included in the price of the room and is a great start to your day. Just be sure to take as much food as you will want, as you cannot go back into the dining hall once you have entered the sitting area!

Once you have chosen your food, ahead lies the challenge of finding seats for your friends or family. With over 1000 guest rooms at the Santa Fe Hotel, finding a place to sit can quickly to turn into a chaotic musical chairs game. Be prepared for the lines. We all know you get them in Disneyland but they are a big feature at the Sante Fe Hotel breakfast too! The solution? Eat as early as you can. Any time after 8.30 and you can almost guarantee to find yourself  gazing down a line of guests as your stomach growls.
Disney’s Hotel Santa Fe also offers an evening meal at La Cantina, the 2 star restaurant on the premises, open 6-10.30pm from Sunday through to Thursday and 6-11pm Friday and Saturday. Choose from either a Tex-Mex menu of Enchiladas, Chilli and other  Mexican favorites, or choose a tasty hot buffet service of European specialities. The restaurant has a fun theme with old gas pumps and sombreros amongst other miscellaneous Mexican authenticities, the  Santa Fe’s theme still stands firm. The general opinion is of good quality food and a menu with lots of choice. Plain chicken, chips, rice and other easy foods ensure that children as well as adults can enjoy a pleasing feast and wind down after the most physically demanding days in the Disneyland Paris Parks.
Disneyland Santa Fe Hotel Recreation and Facilities

Entertainment and recreation at the Santa Fe is on the whole in rather short supply. A small games room attached to the Disney Paris gift shop provides a small variety of machines for children and young adults. The gift shop sells the standard souvenirs you would expect to find in all of the similar stores throughout the Disney resort.
The Santa Fe has to offer is an evening in the Rio Grande bar. Relax with  drink while listening to live music on select nights. Or even try out the karaoke.

To the delight of the young children staying at the resort the Hotel Santa Fe offers meet and greet photo opportunities with some of Disney’s most loved characters on select days. This is an excellent alternative for anyone overwhelmed by Park crowds to get close to them.

Who Should Stay at Disneyland Paris Hotel Sante Fe?

The Santa Fe offers good clean comfortable accomodation for families visiting Disneyland Paris. If you expect a 2 Star Hotel with a good location then you can’t go far wrong with the Santa Fe. Luxury it most definitely is not, and the lines for breakfast may disappoint, but if you are looking for somewhere basic to rest after a day at the parks then the Sante Fe Hotel is a good choice.
