Top 10 Things To Do On A Disney Cruise For Adults

Sharing is caring!

We all know that Disney cruises are a whole lot of fun for kids but just what is there to do for adults. The grown ups are very well looked after on a Disney cruise.

Here is our Top 10 Things To Do On A Disney Cruise For Adults:

Disney Cruise For Adults Only Pool Areas

If you want to escape the kids and enjoy a quieter pool experience then Disney Cruise Line has you well covered. Particularly on Disney Fantasy where the adults only area spans a huge area of 2 decks.

Whilst some cruise lines I have experienced have not been that great at truly providing a pool area just for the adults, Disney really does keep this space clear of the younger ones. Perhaps it is because there is so much for the children to do on a Disney cruise they really don’t want to venture where the adults hang out!

Enjoy Disney Fine Dining on a Disney Cruise For Adults

The dining on a Disney cruise in all the restaurants onboard is of a high standard but if you want to take it to a different level then you can, for an extra charge, eat at one of the adult dining only restaurants.

On the Disney Wonder and Disney Magic Palo is open to the over 18s only and you can enjoy the buffet brunch or the dinner experience.

On the Disney Dream and Fantasy you have even more choice with Palo and Remy. At Remy you can enjoy Brunch, Dinner and the Remy Dessert Experience.

Take A Disney Class

You can learn while you have fun on a Disney cruise. There are classes each day which range from learning how to cook from the Disney chefs, wine, champagne and even chocolate tastings, as well as Disney themed learning and talks by Disney experts. Some of these are open to all ages but there are plenty of offerings for adults only.

Have Some Free Time Away From The Kids

Disney cruise line has the best kids clubs at sea. The only problem you may have is actually getting the kids to leave the club and spend some time with you!

Disney Cruise Line Spa

Enjoy the Vista Spa on Disney Wonder and Senses Spa on the Disney Fantasy, Dream and Magic. All the usual spa services that you would expect are available including a Spa Villa Experience for Two.

Enjoy The Nightlife on a Disney Cruise

Each Disney ship has an entire deck devoted to adult bars and lounges. In the day time this area is sometimes used for family activities, but after 9pm this is off limits to all but the over 18s.

On Disney Wonder the area is Route 66, on Disney Magic it is Beat Street, on the Fantasy it is The District.

Our experience is that on the Disney Wonder this area is pretty quiet. If you are looking for lively nightlife then you probably won’t find it here. But the Disney Fantasy in particular has such a great adult space and some wonderful bars for adults that you will certainly find something that you enjoy

Serenity Beach Castaway Cay

If you are on a Disney cruise which has a port stop in Castaway Cay then you are in for a very special day. Serenity Bay is the adults only beach on Castaway Cay.

Disney Cruise Broadway Style Entertainment

Disney knows how to entertain and you will not find a better show at sea than the ones offered by Disney Cruise Lines. They produce and perform Broadway quality entertainment for all ages. Each ship has different shows but all are well worth seeing.

The Cove Cafe

This is another quiet haven for grown ups on the Disney ships. It is located on Deck 9 on the Disney Magic and Disney Wonder, and on Deck 11 on the Disney Fantasy and Dream. Here you can relax in the comfortable chairs, read one of the magazines, enjoy a quiet conversation, and enjoy a drink from the menu of specialty coffee, tea, wines, and snacks. This is one of my favorite places on the Disney ships as it just has a very relaxing atmosphere where you can truly get away from it all!

Get Fit On A Disney Cruise

All of the Disney cruise ships have a great fitness facility which are for the over 18s only. Each ship has a large gym with plenty of cardio and weight machines.

There is also a good selection of classes particularly for early morning yoga or pilates so that you can start the day off well. The gym on the Disney Wonder and Magic is not that big but it doesn’t tend to get that crowded. If you want some help with your fitness regime then there are Personal Trainers available for a fee.

Another great feature of the Disney ships is the jogging track. This is a great opportunity to keep or even start your fitness program.

Whichever Disney ship you choose you will know that there is plenty to do for the adults on board. Will you be sailing on a Disney Cruise For Adults?
