Where is the Disney Wonder?

Where is the Disney Wonder right now?

We keep this post as updated as we can, but all the Disney ships cover many nautical miles each year. So we have to rely on a much better Disney Wonder Tracking system to keep up with her current location.

Fortunately there are some easy ways that we can find out the current location of the Disney Wonder.

Tracking the Disney Cruise Ships

Of course it is possible to track to the position of the Disney Wonder at any time. We will give you specific details of where you can expect the Disney Wonder to be by showing you the itineraries below, but here is a reliable cruise ship tracker which is easy to use.

At the time we are writing this article the Disney Wonder is docked in Castaway Cay, Disney Cruise Line’s Private Island. Whilst the Disney Cruise ships have not been sailing with passengers, most of the time the Wonder has been docked at Port Canaveral.

It seems that each of the ships, the Disney Wonder, Fantasy and Dream, have been docked in Port Canaveral, but for some of the time they sail out to Castaway Cay. Presumably to take supplies and also hopefully, to let the crew members spend some time on the island.

We all hope that Disney cruise lines get back to their regular itinerary as soon as possible. In the meantime, here is where you could usually expect to see the Disney Wonder sailing.

Disney Cruise Wonder

The Wonder sails from a number of different homeports every year. The Disney Magic is also is a number of home ports every year including Port Canaveral, Barcelona, Dover, and Miami.

This is unlike the Disney Fantasy and Disney Dream, which both sail exclusively out of Port Canaveral.

Things may change when the Disney Wish is launched, but for the moment this is the pattern the Disney ships itineraries follow.

In the Summer she sails to Alaska from Vancouver. These Pacific Coast cruises are usually 5 nights and offer particularly good value for money.

The Wonder usually sails the Alaska season from May until September.

Disney Wonder Alaska cruises are an amazing opportunity to see the stunning landscape and experience the port stops of Juneau, Ketchikan, and Skagway.

A highlight of the cruise is the day spent in Dawes Glacier at Endicott Arm. The scenery is breathtaking – an experience you will never forget.

Once the Alaska season is over in September the Wonder cruise ship sails back to her San Diego homeport. From there she sails to Mexico on 2, 3, 4, 5, and 7-night cruises. Port stops include Cabo San Lucas, Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan, and Ensenada.

The Wonder usually sails from San Diego to Galveston via the Panama Canal around November time each year. This cruise takes a minimum of 14 nights and is an amazing journey. Port stops are usually in Cabo San Lucas, Puerto Vallarta, Cartegena Columbia, and Cozumel, Mexico.

The Disney Wonder then has a home port in Galveston where she sails Western Caribbean and Bahamian itineraries.

The usual pattern for the Wonder has been that she sails to San Juan Puerto Rico for a few sailings in the early part of the year. Then she sails to New Orleans for some Western Caribbean itineraries.

The year then comes full circle when she sails through the Panama Canal, back to San Diego in the early Spring.
