Disney Wish New York Cruise Prices Are Already Rising – And the Transatlantic Is Sold Out

It hasn’t even been a full week.

Disney Cruise Line has just released its new Fall 2027 and Early 2028 itineraries, and one of the biggest announcements was the return of Disney cruises from New York.

The Disney Wish will sail from New York in Fall 2027, with cruises to Bermuda and Canada before eventually repositioning to San Juan.

I was watching the prices as soon as these cruises were released, because opening-day Disney Cruise pricing can tell us a lot about demand.

And now that I have checked them again on Friday, September 4 2026, things have already changed.

Every New York sailing where I can still make a direct comparison has increased in price.

Some stateroom categories have disappeared completely.

One sailing currently has only Concierge availability showing.

And the 12-night Disney Wish transatlantic from Southampton to New York is currently sold out.

Remember that by Thursday, September 3, all Castaway Club levels had been given access to these cruises.

So what has happened to prices in just these first few days?

Let’s look at the numbers.

A Quick Note About These Disney Wish Prices

I recorded the prices when these Disney Wish cruises were first released and have now checked the same sailings again on September 4 2026

All prices shown here are for two guests and include taxes, fees and port expenses.

Gratuities are additional.

Also remember that Disney is showing us the lowest currently available fare within each broad stateroom type.

That’s important.

If the cheapest rooms within a category sell out, the price displayed for that category can suddenly jump because the only rooms left may be in a higher and more expensive category.

We see what appears to be an extreme example of that on one of these cruises.

September 29, 2027 – 4-Night Bermuda Cruise from New York

This is the first Disney Wish cruise departing from New York and sails for four nights with a visit to King’s Wharf, Bermuda.

Here’s what has happened to the prices:

This is one of the biggest price movements I’ve seen so far.

Look at that Verandah price.

It has gone from $3,748 to $4,284.

That’s another $536 for exactly the same sailing, an increase of more than 14%.

And this has happened in a matter of days.

October 3, 2027 – 5-Night Canada & New England Cruise

This one is particularly interesting because we have already lost two stateroom types from the current search results.

On opening day, you could book this cruise from $3,130 for two people.

On September 4, Disney isn’t showing Inside or Oceanview availability at all.

The lowest available option showing is therefore a Verandah at $4,440.

That’s quite a difference for someone discovering this cruise now compared with someone who was ready to book when it was released.

October 8, 2027 – 6-Night Bermuda & Canada Cruise

This is an interesting itinerary combining Bermuda with Halifax, Nova Scotia.

And once again, every stateroom type has increased.

Again, I’m particularly interested in that Verandah increase.

A Verandah that started at $5,245 is already $456 more expensive.

October 14, 2027 – 5-Night Bermuda Cruise

This Disney Wish cruise spends two days at King’s Wharf, Bermuda.

The Oceanview category has already increased by almost 10%.

For two people, that’s an additional $390 compared with the opening price.

October 19, 2027 – 5-Night Bermuda Cruise

The October 14 and October 19, 2027 cruises actually started with identical prices.

They don’t anymore.

I find this particularly interesting.

Two identical-length Bermuda itineraries started at exactly the same price, but within days Disney’s dynamic pricing has already started separating them.

Depending on which stateroom you want, one date is now slightly better value than the other.

October 24, 2027 – 7-Night Canada Cruise

And then we get to this one.

This is where the numbers start to look rather extraordinary.

Here is what was available when booking opened compared with September 4:

Yes, you read that correctly.

The only stateroom type currently showing as available starts at $44,564 for two guests.

But we need to be very careful with this number.

I don’t think it would be fair to say:

“Disney increased the Concierge price from $11,664 to $44,564.”

That’s almost certainly not what’s happening.

The much more likely explanation is that the less expensive Concierge rooms have been booked or are currently being held, leaving a much more expensive Concierge suite as the lowest available option.

So this isn’t really a $32,900 price increase.

It’s an availability story.

Inside?

Unavailable.

Oceanview?

Unavailable.

Verandah?

Unavailable.

And the only Concierge accommodation currently showing starts at more than $44,000 for two people.

That gives us a pretty good indication of how much initial interest there has been in this particular itinerary.

October 31, 2027 – 5-Night Bermuda Cruise from New York to San Juan

This one stood out to me when the itineraries were first released because the opening prices looked relatively reasonable for Disney Wish.

It’s still one of the better values of this New York season, but prices have already moved.

These are actually the smallest percentage increases of the New York cruises I’ve compared.

An Inside has increased by $130 and a Verandah by $150.

However, remember that this is a one-way cruise.

You board in New York and disembark in San Juan, so you’ll need to take the additional travel arrangements into account when working out the true cost of the vacation.

So How Much Have Disney Wish New York Prices Increased?

Verandah staterooms give us one of the easiest ways of seeing what is happening across the New York season.

There’s a pretty obvious pattern here.

Every Verandah that I can still price has increased.

And not just by $20 or $50.

We’re seeing increases of $150 to $536 for two guests in a matter of days.

The September 29, 2027 cruise has seen the biggest Verandah increase at more than 14%.

The Disney Wish Transatlantic Is Currently Sold Out

And then there is the cruise that gets the Disney Wish to New York in the first place.

The Disney Wish will sail a 12-night westbound transatlantic from Southampton to New York on September 17, 2027.

This was always going to be one of the cruises I expected to attract a lot of attention.

It’s a long Disney Wish sailing.

It’s a transatlantic.

And it’s the cruise that positions the ship for this highly anticipated New York season.

Right now?

It’s showing as sold out.

There is currently no stateroom availability showing on Disney’s website.

That is impressive considering how early we are in the booking process.

But there’s something very important to understand here.

Sold Out Doesn’t Necessarily Mean You’ve Missed It

If you wanted the Disney Wish transatlantic and couldn’t get it, keep checking.

The same advice applies if the particular stateroom category you wanted on one of the New York cruises is showing as unavailable.

During these opening booking days, people can place Disney cruises on temporary hold while they decide whether to go ahead with the reservation.

That takes the stateroom out of available inventory.

But not everyone who holds a cruise ultimately books it.

If the deposit isn’t paid before that hold expires, the stateroom can come back into the system.

This is particularly worth remembering during the first few days after a big itinerary release, when lots of people may be holding more than one option while deciding which cruise they actually want.

So if you’re seeing:

or

UNAVAILABLE

I wouldn’t necessarily give up.

Check again later that day.

Check tomorrow.

Check over the next few days.

You may find that staterooms suddenly reappear as holds expire.

And availability can continue to change after this initial booking period as guests cancel cruises, change dates or move between stateroom categories.

The transatlantic is sold out right now.

That doesn’t necessarily mean another stateroom won’t become available.

Are The New York Cruises More Popular Than Expected?

I think these first few days certainly suggest strong demand.

Just look at what has already happened.

The September 29, 2027 Verandah has increased by $536.

The October 8, 2027 Verandah has increased by $456.

The October 3, 2027 cruise currently has no Inside or Oceanview availability.

The October 24, 2027 sailing currently has no Inside, Oceanview or Verandah availability.

And the transatlantic is currently sold out.

That’s quite a lot of movement in the very first booking window.

And these aren’t cruises sailing next month.

We’re talking about Fall 2027.

Does This Mean You Should Always Book A Disney Cruise On Opening Day?

Not necessarily.

Disney Cruise pricing is more complicated than that.

I’ve watched these prices for years, and they don’t simply increase every day until the ship sails.

Staterooms come back into inventory.

People cancel.

Special offers can appear.

Different categories sell out at different rates.

And sometimes a cruise that looked expensive when it was released becomes much more attractive later.

But if Disney releases a limited or unusual itinerary that you know you want, there can be a definite advantage to booking early.

This New York season is a good example.

Someone who booked a September 29, 2027 Verandah at $3,748 is already $536 ahead of someone booking the lowest available Verandah on September 4, 2026

That’s a significant difference after only a few days.

What Happens Next?

This is the part I’m going to be watching very closely.

Will the New York prices continue to climb?

Will more categories disappear?

Will rooms start returning as those initial holds expire?

And perhaps most interesting of all – will availability come back for the sold-out transatlantic?

I wouldn’t be surprised if we see quite a bit of movement over the next few days.

So if there’s a particular Disney Wish New York cruise you want, don’t assume that today’s price or availability is necessarily what you’ll see tomorrow.

But equally, these first few days have given us a fascinating glimpse into demand.

The Disney Wish hasn’t even arrived in New York yet, and these cruises are already proving to be some of the most interesting Disney Cruise prices to watch.
