Exciting news for Disney Cruise Line fans — today, on August 9th, 2025, the Disney Destiny floated out of Hall 6 at the Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany!

This is a huge step towards the launch of this brand new Disney cruise ship which is all set for her maiden voyage on November 20, 2025.

This float-out is a major milestone in the ship’s construction, and the celebration included a first listen to the ship’s brand-new anthem.
Disney Destiny will sail 4 and 5 night Bahamian itineraries from Fort Lauderdale.
The Destiny will remain docked at the shipyard for a while as the final details are added to the ship.
Next up?
The Ems River Conveyance, expected to take place in late September! Only DCL knows the exact date but for Disney Wish this happened 46 days after float out, and for Disney Treasure it was 47. So if Disney Destiny follows this pattern then it will be around September 27, 2025.
Disney Destiny will then make her journey to her home port of Fort Lauderdale.
