Exciting news for Disney Cruise fans.
The first day of the reveal of Disney Destiny includes details of the staterooms, a new restaurant, a confectionary store and two casual dining cafes.
She will set sail from Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, Florida in late 2025.

“For the Disney Destiny, we will introduce brand-new cruise experiences inspired by the legends and legacies of some of Disney’s most iconic heroes and villains,” said Sharon Siskie, senior vice president and general manager, Disney Cruise Line. “From the dining rooms to the staterooms and everywhere in between, guests aboard our new ship will be surrounded by extraordinary storytelling paired with the signature service and family-fun adventures that are hallmarks of a Disney Cruise vacation.”
Like all Disney Cruise Line ships, the Disney Destiny will feature imaginative restaurants where you can interact with Disney stories in exciting ways. This includes the debut of a brand-new family dining experience exclusive to this ship.
Pride Lands: Feast of the Lion King Restaurant
Disney Wish has Arendelle, Disney Treasure will have Coco de Plaza and Disney Treasure will have a restaurant themed for the beloved Lion King movie.

Named Pride Lands: Feast of The Lion King this rotational dining restaurant will most likely have a central stage feature like Arendelle on Disney Wish.
This savanna-inspired venue will bring unique depictions of animals and nature to life through lighting and special effects. The window-lined back wall will transform from stunning sunrises to enchanting sunsets throughout the meal.
This is all the detail given at the moment but hopefully this will mean that there is another focus for the restaurant than the central stage.
A lot of the tables in Arendelle do not have a view of the stage – hopefully this new feature will mean that the Lion King restaurant will have more than one focus.

There will be a stage show with live musicians and storytellers. We are told that there will be “tiered risers that evoke African drums — as they present a musical journey through the award-winning soundtrack”.
Hopefully the tiered stage will mean that more people have a good view of the stage, although I am not sure from the concept art how much of a difference this will make.
Performances will include productions of:
- Circle of Life
- Hakuna Matata
- A mash up of I Just Can’t Wait to Be King and Be Prepared.
- An instrumental version of “Can You Feel the Love Tonight” paired with a beautiful interpretive dance; and
- A moving rendition of “He Lives in You” from the sequel film and Broadway show.
During special intervals throughout the meal, the band and performers will revisit the iconic songs from “The Lion King” using authentic African instruments and theatrical props to represent the story and characters.
No more details of exactly what will be on the menu yet.
Edna Á La Mode Sweets
Get ready for the Enda Mode themed sweet emporium. The iconic fashion diva from Disney Pixar The Incredibles” movies will be transformed into a one-of-a-kind confectionary at the brand-new Edna Á La Mode Sweets.
This space is inspired by the “Auntie Edna” Pixar movie short.

Edna’s sewing equipment will be repurposed as sweet-making devices. The equipment once used to make super suits for The Incredibles will be repurposed to produce a selection of handmade gelato, ice cream, cookies, candies and other specialty treats.
Heroic Cafés
Following the lead of Disney Treasure there will be two casual cafes leading off the space of the Grand Hall of Disney Destiny.
They will serve a selection of tea, coffee, specialty drinks and snacks.
Café Megara, a space that will pay homage to Disney Animation’s “Hercules” with a unique and vibrant “Greco disco” design.
This vibrant space will be filled with the lightning bolts and clouds of Mount Olympus, vases featuring the Muses, nods to Pegasus and waves on the ceiling.
Café Merida, is an area that will be inspired by the flame-haired heroine of Pixar’s “Brave” with its Celtic-centered design.
Special touches include a tapestry hung from a mounted bow, while glowing lights above the bar will pay tribute to the will-o’-the-wisps, ethereal blue flames that lead travelers to their destiny.
I an happy to see some much loved but perhaps neglected Disney characters being incorporated into the design of Disney Wish.
Heroic Staterooms on Disney Destiny
The new ship will offer spacious, comfortable and functional staterooms.
It is highly likely that they will be exactly the same configuration and category as Disney Wish and Treasure, but with their own unique interior design.

Most staterooms will feature Disney Cruise Line’s signature split-bath concept. Only the standard inside staterooms will not have this feature.
There will also be a large number of staterooms with a connecting door. Ideal for families and parties of friends.
Each stateroom will showcase custom artwork depicting the epic journeys of famous Disney legends.
Verandah Stateroom
The Disney Destiny’s most spacious non-Concierge staterooms, each with a private balcony are the Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom with Verandah and Deluxe Family Oceanview Stateroom with Verandah.

The Deluxe Family Oceanview staterooms will sleep 5. The other verandah staterooms will sleep either 3 or 4 depending upon category.
Oceanview Stateroom

You will have a porthole window in a Deluxe Family Oceanview Stateroom or Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom.
Inside Stateroom
An inside stateroom is always a great option on a Disney ship. Disney Destiny will offer inside staterooms which are usually the lowest priced accommodations.

A standard inside stateroom will not have the split bathroom, but the deluxe will.
