It has been one week since Disney Cruise Line released its Fall 2027 and Early 2028 itineraries.
And I’ve been watching the Disney Wish New York prices from the start.
I recorded prices when booking first opened to Pearl Castaway Club members on August 31, 2026
I checked them again on September 4, after all Castaway Club levels had been given access.
And now I’ve checked them again on September 8, 2026 – the day these cruises officially go on sale to everyone.
You no longer need Castaway Club status to book.
So what happened to Disney Wish New York prices during that first booking window?
Quite a lot.
Some prices have increased by hundreds of dollars.
Some stateroom categories have disappeared completely.
Some availability has actually come back.
And the highly anticipated Disney Wish transatlantic that brings the ship to New York?
It’s currently sold out.
Let’s look at the numbers.
A Quick Note About These Prices
All prices here are for two guests and include taxes, fees and port expenses.
Gratuities are additional.
I’m comparing three snapshots:
Opening Day – August 31, 2026
September 4, 2026
September 8, 2026
Remember that Disney displays the lowest currently available fare within each broad stateroom type.
That’s important.
If the least expensive rooms in a category sell, the displayed price can jump because a more expensive subcategory is now the cheapest available.
So we’re not simply looking at Disney “raising the price” of the exact same stateroom.
We’re also seeing what happens as the cheapest inventory disappears.
And there’s a very good example of that later.
September 29, 2027 – 4-Night Bermuda Cruise from New York
This is the first Disney Wish cruise departing from New York.
Look at what has happened:

This one tells an interesting story.
The Verandah hasn’t increased at all since September 4.
But it had already increased by $536 from opening day.
And now Inside and Oceanview aren’t showing at all.
So although prices have stabilized in the two categories we can still compare, availability has become much tighter.
Someone booking today can’t get anything below a Verandah at $4,284.
October 3, 2027 – 5-Night Canada & New England Cruise
This one is looking increasingly difficult to book.

Think about the difference here.
On opening day, two guests could book this cruise from $3,130.
Today?
Inside is unavailable.
Oceanview is unavailable.
Verandah is unavailable.
The only broad category currently showing is Concierge at $9,050.
That’s not the same thing as saying the cruise has increased from $3,130 to $9,050.
It hasn’t.
It means the less expensive categories currently aren’t available.
But for someone arriving today wanting to book this cruise, $9,050 is effectively where the conversation starts.
That’s a very different situation from opening day.
October 8, 2027 – 6-Night Bermuda & Canada Cruise
This is probably our best price comparison because all four categories are still available.

This is where things get really interesting.
Every category has increased.
And the Verandah increase is significant.
Opening Day: $5,245
September 4: $5,701
September 8: $6,109
That’s an increase of $864 for two people, or approximately 16.5%, since booking opened.
The Oceanview isn’t far behind, increasing $684.
If you knew you wanted this particular cruise, booking during that first window clearly made a difference.
October 14, 2027 – 5-Night Bermuda Cruise
This Disney Wish cruise spends two days at King’s Wharf.
And availability is now tightening considerably.

Again, look at the Verandah.
It started at $4,510.
Today it’s $5,170.
That’s $660 more in just over a week.
Meanwhile, both Inside and Oceanview have disappeared from the current search results.

October 19, 2027 – 5-Night Bermuda Cruise
Originally, the October 14 and October 19, 2027 cruises started with exactly the same prices.
They’ve been gradually separating ever since.

This sailing still has availability in all four categories.
But again, Verandah has seen the largest increase.
$4,510 to $5,210.
That’s another $700 for exactly the same sailing date compared with the lowest Verandah price available when booking opened.
October 24, 2027 – 7-Night Canada Cruise
This might be the most fascinating one of them all.
Here’s what we’ve seen:

On September 4, this cruise was pretty much sold out.
Inside, Oceanview and Verandah were all unavailable.
The only Concierge accommodation showing started at $44,564 for two guests.
I said then that it wouldn’t be accurate to claim Disney had simply increased Concierge from $11,664 to $44,564.
The explanation was that the lower-priced Concierge accommodations were no longer available and a much more expensive suite was the lowest remaining option.
And now look what’s happened.
That $44,564 Concierge option has disappeared.
But Inside availability has returned at $5,364.
This is why “unavailable” doesn’t necessarily mean “gone forever.”
But this was at the time of writing this article – if you check back now, that inside stateroom has probably already gone.
However, there’s another side to this.
That Inside originally started at $4,482.
Today it’s $5,364.
That’s an increase of $882, or 19.7%.
Of all the categories we can directly compare from opening day to today, that’s the largest percentage increase.
October 31, 2027 – 5-Night Bermuda Cruise from New York to San Juan
This remains the least expensive Disney Wish New York sailing.

These increases are much more modest than we’re seeing on some of the other New York sailings.
But they’re still increases.
An Inside is $280 more than opening day and a Verandah is $350 more.
And there’s an important reason why this cruise is cheaper.
It’s a one-way repositioning cruise.
You board Disney Wish in New York and disembark in San Juan.
So that $3,197 Inside fare may look particularly attractive, but you need to factor in your travel arrangements home from Puerto Rico.
The Disney Wish Transatlantic Is Now Sold Out
And then there’s the cruise that gets Disney Wish to New York in the first place.
The 12-night westbound transatlantic from Southampton to New York departs September 17, 2027.
When I checked on September 4, it was already showing as sold out.
I’ve checked it again today.
It’s still sold out.
There is currently no stateroom availability showing.
I expected this cruise to be popular. And for this to happen.
It’s a long Disney Wish sailing, it’s a transatlantic, and it positions the ship for the much anticipated New York season.
But being sold out this early is still noteworthy.
That doesn’t necessarily mean a stateroom can never come back.
People cancel. Holds expire. Guests change cruises.
So if you really want this one, I would keep checking.
But right now, on the day these itineraries become available to the general public, the Disney Wish transatlantic is sold out.
How Much Have Verandah Prices Increased Since Opening Day?
Verandahs give us perhaps the best overview of what’s happened.

This table tells the story very quickly.
Every Verandah that we can still directly compare with opening day is more expensive.
And we’re not talking about tiny changes.
We’re looking at increases ranging from $350 to $864 for two guests.
The October 8 cruise has seen the biggest dollar increase, with its lowest available Verandah going from $5,245 to $6,109.
That’s $864 more.
The Bigger Story May Actually Be Availability
It’s tempting to focus entirely on those price increases.
But availability may tell us even more about demand.
On the September 29, 2027 cruise, Inside and Oceanview are currently unavailable.
On October 3, 2027 only Concierge is currently showing.
On October 14, 2027 Inside and Oceanview are unavailable.
On October 24, 2027 Oceanview, Verandah and Concierge are currently unavailable.
And the transatlantic is completely sold out.
Yet October 24, 2027 also demonstrates how quickly things can change.
Its Inside category was unavailable on September 4.
Today it’s back.
That’s exactly why I don’t think you should automatically give up when you see “Unavailable.”
But there is a catch.
It came back at $5,364 rather than the $4,482 opening price.
Availability can return.
The original price may not.
Did Castaway Club Members Get A Significant Advantage?
This is perhaps the most interesting question now that everyone can book.
If you were eligible to book during the Castaway Club early-access period and actually booked, there are several examples where you are already substantially ahead.
Someone who booked the October 8 Verandah at $5,245 would pay $864 less than today’s lowest available Verandah.
October 19, 2027?
$700 less.
October 14, 2027?
$660 less.
September 29, 2027?
$536 less.
Of course, not every cruise or category behaves the same way.
But for these New York cruises, early access has clearly had real financial value so far.
Now Everyone Can Book – What Happens Next?
This is where things get even more interesting.
Until today, these cruises weren’t available to everyone.
Now they are.
Disney officially opened Fall 2027 and Spring 2028 bookings to the general public on September 8, 2026.
So what happens next?
Do we see another surge in demand now that first-time Disney cruisers can book?
Do more stateroom categories disappear?
Do prices continue climbing?
Or do some of those early holds expire and put more rooms back into inventory?
We’ve already seen that happen with the October 24, 2027 Inside stateroom.
This is why I don’t think the story ends today.
I’ll keep watching these prices.
Because we’re only just over a week into the booking process, the transatlantic is sold out, some New York sailings have lost multiple stateroom categories, and some of the lowest available fares have already increased by 15% to almost 20%.
And now that booking has opened to everyone, it will be very interesting to see what happens next.
