The Disney Destiny has some really interesting itineraries for Fall 2027 through Spring 2028, and now that I have gone through the prices for all 51 sailings, there are definitely some dates that stand out.
And not always for the reasons you might expect.
There are 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7-night cruises in this release, initially sailing from Fort Lauderdale before the Disney Destiny moves to Port Canaveral at the end of November.
I wanted to look beyond simply listing the prices.
Which dates give you the most cruise for your money?
Does a longer cruise actually work out better per night?
Does sailing to the Western Caribbean cost more than staying in the Bahamas?
How much more are you really paying for a verandah?
And perhaps most importantly, are there dates you should be looking at that aren’t immediately obvious?
There are.

About These Disney Destiny Prices
The prices shown here are for two guests in one stateroom and include taxes and port fees.
Gratuities are not included.
I have also calculated the nightly rate by dividing the total stateroom price by the number of nights.
So when I say a verandah costs $737 per night, for example, that is $737 for the stateroom per night for two guests, not $737 per person.
And remember that these are the initial prices for this release. Disney Cruise Line uses dynamic pricing, so what you see when you actually book may be different.
The First Thing That Surprised Me: There Are Three 3-Night Cruises
Most of the Disney Destiny schedule is built around longer cruises, particularly 5-night sailings.
But there are three 3-night cruises hidden in the schedule.
Two are right at the beginning of the season from Fort Lauderdale:
| Sail Date | Itinerary | Inside | Oceanview | Verandah | Concierge |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Sep. 10, 2027 | Nassau + Lookout Cay | $1,948 | $2,008 | $2,212 | $3,910 |
| Sep. 17, 2027 | Nassau + Lookout Cay | $1,954 | $2,098 | $2,254 | $3,892 |
There is then one more on November 30, which is the repositioning cruise from Fort Lauderdale to Port Canaveral.
| Sail Date | Itinerary | Inside | Oceanview | Verandah | Concierge |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Nov. 30, 2027 | Fort Lauderdale ? Port Canaveral via Castaway Cay | $2,346 | $2,502 | $2,754 | $6,162 |
The Per-Night Prices
| Sail Date | Inside/Night | Oceanview/Night | Verandah/Night | Concierge/Night |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Sep. 10 | $649 | $669 | $737 | $1,303 |
| Sep. 17 | $651 | $699 | $751 | $1,297 |
| Nov. 30 | $782 | $834 | $918 | $2,054 |
If your priority is getting onto the Disney Destiny for the lowest total fare in this release, September 10 2027 is the date that immediately jumps out.
A verandah for two guests is $2,212.
September 17 is only $42 more at $2,254.
These are particularly interesting because they are not stripped-down itineraries with nothing but sea days. Both include Nassau and Lookout Cay.
September 13 Is Another Date I Would Look At
Three days after that first sailing is a 4-night cruise from Fort Lauderdale visiting Lookout Cay and Castaway Cay.
Total Prices
| Inside | Oceanview | Verandah | Concierge |
|---|---|---|---|
| $2,633 | $2,825 | $3,025 | $5,489 |
Per-Night Prices
| Inside | Oceanview | Verandah | Concierge |
|---|---|---|---|
| $658 | $706 | $756 | $1,372 |
I think this is a really interesting option.
You get four nights rather than three and, importantly, both Disney island destinations.
The verandah is $3,025, which works out at just $756 per night.
If I were choosing between the first few sailings of the season, this one would definitely be on my shortlist.
The Western Caribbean Prices Are Really Interesting
This is where the Destiny pricing gets much more interesting than simply saying certain months cost more than others.
There are three 5-night Western Caribbean sailings from Fort Lauderdale visiting Cozumel and Castaway Cay.
Total Prices
| Sail Date | Inside | Oceanview | Verandah | Concierge |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Sep. 25 | $3,059 | $3,219 | $3,479 | $6,229 |
| Oct. 9 | $2,980 | $3,310 | $3,670 | $7,370 |
| Oct. 23 | $2,940 | $3,260 | $3,620 | $7,260 |
Per-Night Prices
| Sail Date | Inside | Oceanview | Verandah | Concierge |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Sep. 25 | $612 | $644 | $696 | $1,246 |
| Oct. 9 | $596 | $662 | $734 | $1,474 |
| Oct. 23 | $588 | $652 | $724 | $1,452 |
These are excellent per-night rates.
In fact, October 23 has the lowest inside nightly rate I found in the entire release at $588 per night.
September 25 2027 has the standout verandah rate at just under $696 per night.
But what makes these sailings particularly interesting is what happens when you compare them with nearby 5-night Bahamian cruises.
Same Ship, Same Length, Same Port – Very Different Price
This is one of my favorite comparisons in the whole dataset because seasonality can’t really explain it away.
October 4 and October 9 are only five days apart.
Both are 5-night Disney Destiny cruises from Fort Lauderdale.
October 4 visits Nassau, Castaway Cay and Lookout Cay.
October 9 visits Cozumel and Castaway Cay.
Look at the verandah prices:
| Sailing | Verandah |
|---|---|
| Oct. 4 – Bahamas | $4,273 |
| Oct. 9 – Western Caribbean | $3,670 |
That’s a $603 difference.
And it happens again.
| Sailing | Verandah |
|---|---|
| Oct. 18 – Bahamas | $4,243 |
| Oct. 23 – Western Caribbean | $3,620 |
This time the Western Caribbean cruise is $623 less.
So I certainly wouldn’t assume that sailing farther into the Caribbean means paying more.
On these dates, the opposite is true.
Is there something I am missing about these October dates to account for the price differences?

What About the 4-Night Fort Lauderdale Cruises?
There are several 4-night cruises from Fort Lauderdale, but there are two different itinerary types.
September 13 2027 and November 20 2027 visit Lookout Cay and Castaway Cay.
September 30, October 14, October 28 and November 11 2027 visit Nassau and Lookout Cay.
Nassau + Lookout Cay – Total Prices
| Sail Date | Inside | Oceanview | Verandah | Concierge |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Sep. 30 | $2,408 | $2,672 | $2,984 | $6,120 |
| Oct. 14 | $2,576 | $2,864 | $3,208 | $6,520 |
| Oct. 28 | $2,576 | $2,864 | $3,208 | $6,520 |
| Nov. 11 | $2,584 | $2,872 | $3,208 | $6,528 |
Nassau + Lookout Cay – Per Night
| Sail Date | Inside | Oceanview | Verandah | Concierge |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Sep. 30 | $602 | $668 | $746 | $1,530 |
| Oct. 14 | $644 | $716 | $802 | $1,630 |
| Oct. 28 | $644 | $716 | $802 | $1,630 |
| Nov. 11 | $646 | $718 | $802 | $1,632 |
September 30 stands out.
A verandah is $2,984 total, or $746 per night.
Interestingly, October 14 and October 28 2027 have identical prices in every stateroom category.
And November 11 2027 is only $8 more for an inside and concierge, while the verandah price remains exactly the same.
So here we have almost a month of remarkably stable pricing.
Lookout Cay AND Castaway Cay
The other Fort Lauderdale 4-night itinerary swaps Nassau for Castaway Cay.
Total Prices
| Sail Date | Inside | Oceanview | Verandah | Concierge |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Sep. 13 | $2,633 | $2,825 | $3,025 | $5,489 |
| Nov. 20 | $3,770 | $4,178 | $4,698 | $9,674 |
Per-Night Prices
| Sail Date | Inside | Oceanview | Verandah | Concierge |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Sep. 13 | $658 | $706 | $756 | $1,372 |
| Nov. 20 | $943 | $1,045 | $1,175 | $2,419 |
That is an enormous difference for the same itinerary.
The verandah increases from $3,025 to $4,698.
That’s $1,673 more, or around 55%.
Of course, November 20 falls into Thanksgiving week, so I would expect it to cost considerably more.
But seeing the actual number puts that holiday premium into perspective.
The November 24 Thanksgiving Cruise
The November 24 cruise is five nights from Fort Lauderdale, visiting Nassau and Lookout Cay.
Total Prices
| Inside | Oceanview | Verandah | Concierge |
|---|---|---|---|
| $4,900 | $5,170 | $5,880 | $12,470 |
Per-Night Prices
| Inside | Oceanview | Verandah | Concierge |
|---|---|---|---|
| $980 | $1,034 | $1,176 | $2,494 |
Nine days earlier, the November 15 five-night sailing is:
| Inside | Oceanview | Verandah | Concierge |
|---|---|---|---|
| $3,263 | $3,643 | $4,043 | $8,283 |
That’s a $1,837 difference for the verandah.
And November 15 actually includes Nassau, Castaway Cay and Lookout Cay.
Unless sailing over Thanksgiving itself is important to you, that is a very significant amount to pay for moving the vacation by just over a week.
Then the Destiny Moves to Port Canaveral
The November 30 three-night cruise is the transition point.
It sails from Fort Lauderdale, spends a day at Castaway Cay and ends at Port Canaveral.
After that, the Destiny settles into a programme of predominantly four and five-night cruises from Port Canaveral.
And this is where January 2028 starts to become very interesting.
January and February Have Some Strong Options
Two 4-night cruises in particular stand out.
Total Prices
| Sail Date | Inside | Oceanview | Verandah | Concierge |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Jan. 19 | $2,606 | $2,910 | $3,222 | $6,574 |
| Feb. 2 | $2,598 | $2,902 | $3,214 | $6,566 |
| Feb. 16 | $2,710 | $2,974 | $3,318 | $6,750 |
Per-Night Prices
| Sail Date | Inside | Oceanview | Verandah | Concierge |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Jan. 19 | $652 | $728 | $806 | $1,644 |
| Feb. 2 | $650 | $726 | $804 | $1,642 |
| Feb. 16 | $678 | $744 | $830 | $1,688 |
February 2 just edges January 19 on price, but only by $8 in every cabin category.
That’s not enough to influence my decision.
I would choose whichever date worked better for flights, hotels and my own schedule.
January 8 2028 Is One of the Most Interesting Longer Cruises
If you want more than four or five nights, I think January 8 deserves a serious look.
It’s a 6-night Western Caribbean cruise visiting:
Cozumel – Grand Cayman – Castaway Cay
And Grand Cayman appears only once in this Destiny release.
Total Prices
| Inside | Oceanview | Verandah | Concierge |
|---|---|---|---|
| $4,184 | $4,520 | $5,156 | $11,168 |
Per-Night Prices
| Inside | Oceanview | Verandah | Concierge |
|---|---|---|---|
| $697 | $753 | $859 | $1,861 |
That verandah rate is particularly interesting when you compare it with some of the five-night cruises around it.
You’re getting an extra night and a much more interesting itinerary without a dramatic increase in the nightly cost.
This is one of the sailings I would personally look at very closely.
Does Booking Five Nights Give You Better Value?
Not necessarily.
This is something worth checking rather than assuming.
For example:
February 2 2028 is four nights at $3,214 for a verandah, or about $804 per night.
February 6 2028 is five nights at $4,301, or about $860 per night.
So you’re paying $1,087 more for the additional night.
Obviously you’re also getting another night of vacation, which has value.
But the longer cruise isn’t giving you a lower nightly rate.
The lesson here is simple: don’t assume longer automatically means better value per night.
Spring Break Changes the Picture Quickly
March is where the prices start climbing.
Look at the four-night Port Canaveral sailings.
Total Prices
| Sail Date | Inside | Oceanview | Verandah | Concierge |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Mar. 1 | $2,958 | $3,198 | $3,598 | $8,270 |
| Mar. 15 | $3,886 | $4,198 | $4,742 | $9,646 |
| Mar. 29 | $3,438 | $3,710 | $4,190 | $8,566 |
March 1 to March 15 2028 is a particularly striking jump.
The verandah goes from $3,598 to $4,742.
That’s $1,144 more for the same number of nights.
Two weeks later, March 29 2028 drops back to $4,190.
So even if March 2028 is the month you need to travel, it is worth comparing the individual weeks rather than assuming they will all price similarly.
April Has Some Big Swings Too
The five-night verandah prices in April are:
| Sail Date | Verandah |
|---|---|
| Apr. 2 | $4,761 |
| Apr. 7 | $4,781 |
| Apr. 16 | $5,571 |
| Apr. 21 | $4,461 |
| Apr. 30 | $4,221 |
April 16 is clearly the peak.
Just five days later, the price drops from $5,571 to $4,461.
That’s $1,110 less.
And by April 30 it is down to $4,221.
Again, flexibility of even a week can make a very substantial difference.
Christmas and New Year Prices
There are some very high numbers over Christmas and New Year.
The December 22 cruise is seven nights.
December 22 – Total Prices
| Inside | Oceanview | Verandah | Concierge |
|---|---|---|---|
| $7,372 | $8,016 | $9,248 | $21,442 |
Per Night
| Inside | Oceanview | Verandah | Concierge |
|---|---|---|---|
| $1,053 | $1,145 | $1,321 | $3,063 |
Then December 29 2027 is five nights:
December 29 – Total Prices
| Inside | Oceanview | Verandah | Concierge |
|---|---|---|---|
| $6,421 | $6,581 | $7,441 | $17,411 |
Per Night
| Inside | Oceanview | Verandah | Concierge |
|---|---|---|---|
| $1,284 | $1,316 | $1,488 | $3,482 |
The December 29 sailing actually has the highest per-night rates in the entire release, despite the Christmas cruise having the higher total price.
But look what happens immediately afterwards.
January 3 2028 is also five nights.
The verandah falls from $7,441 to $4,261.
That’s a $3,180 difference for sailing five days later.
If you specifically want New Year’s Eve onboard, that’s the price of having that experience.
But if you simply want a winter Disney Destiny cruise, January 3 is an entirely different proposition.
When Is a Verandah Worth Considering?
I wouldn’t decide whether to book a verandah based purely on a general rule because the upgrade varies quite a bit.
September 25 2027 is a great example.
The inside stateroom is $3,059.
The verandah is $3,479.
That’s just $420 more for the whole five-night cruise.
September 10 2027 is another interesting one:
Inside: $1,948
Verandah: $2,212
That’s only $264 more for all three nights.
For two guests, that is $44 per person per night to move from an inside stateroom to a verandah.
That’s the kind of price difference where I would certainly stop and think before automatically choosing the lowest category.
On other dates, the gap is considerably larger.
Always look at the actual upgrade price for your particular sailing.

So Which Disney Destiny Sailings Would I Look At First?
After going through all 51, I don’t think there is one answer for everyone.
But there are several dates I would circle.
September 10 2027 if keeping the overall cruise price down is the priority. At $2,212 for a verandah for two people, it’s the lowest total verandah price of the release.
September 13 2027 if you want both Disney islands. Four nights, Castaway Cay and Lookout Cay, and a $3,025 verandah is a very attractive combination.
September 25 2027 if you want five nights. The $3,479 verandah works out at about $696 per night, and you get Cozumel and Castaway Cay.
September 30 2027 if you prefer the four-night format. A verandah comes in just below $3,000.
January 8 2028 if you want something longer. Six nights with Cozumel, Grand Cayman and Castaway Cay for $5,156 in a verandah is one of the most interesting itineraries in the entire release.
February 2 2028 is one of the Port Canaveral dates I would check first, particularly if four nights is what you want.
And April 30 2028 deserves a look if you need to travel later in the season. The verandah is $4,221 compared with $5,571 on April 16.
My Takeaway From Looking at All 51 Prices
The biggest lesson for me isn’t that holidays cost more. We already know that.
It’s that Disney Destiny pricing isn’t always intuitive when you compare similar cruises side by side.
The Western Caribbean can cost substantially less than a Bahamian cruise of exactly the same length from the same port.
Adding another night doesn’t necessarily reduce your cost per night.
Some dates have a surprisingly small jump from an inside stateroom to a verandah.
And there are times when moving your cruise by just a few days changes the price by hundreds — or even thousands — of dollars.
That’s why I wouldn’t pick a Disney Destiny cruise by finding the itinerary I want and looking at one date.
I’d find two or three dates that could work, compare the total price, price per night and cabin upgrade cost, and then decide.
Because when you put all 51 sailings next to each other, there are definitely some dates that stand out.
