Disney Cruise Line has released the Disney Wish sailings from September 2027 through May 2028, and there are some surprisingly large differences in price.
I’ve gone through the opening-day fares for all 59 sailings and calculated the cost per night.
And this is where it gets interesting.
A three-night Disney Wish cruise can cost $2,512 for a verandah on one date and $4,620 on another.
Same ship. Same number of nights.
More than $2,000 difference.
Of course seasonal differences explain this one – Holidays and School Breaks are always the highest cost.
But the calendar isn’t the only thing that matters. Where the Wish sails from makes a surprisingly large difference too, and some of the longer itineraries actually cost considerably less per night than the short Bahamian cruises.
As Disney Wish is sailing from New York for the first time I expected that’s where the highest prices would be.
However.
Here’s what I found.

Disney Wish 2027–2028 Prices at a Glance
All prices are per stateroom for 2 guests including taxes and fees. These are the preview prices for opening day – they will change, most likely increase, when bookings open.
These are average opening-day prices for two guests, including taxes and port fees.
| Inside | Oceanview | Verandah | Concierge | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Average per night | $807 | $865 | $961 | $1,967 |
| Lowest per night | $580 | $648 | $744 | $1,469 |
| Highest per night | $1,346 | $1,414 | $1,540 | $3,590 |
That’s a huge range.
For a verandah, the difference between the lowest and highest per-night rate is almost $800 per night.
So simply saying that a Disney Wish cruise costs a certain amount doesn’t tell us very much.
The date and itinerary can completely change the picture.
The Sailings Offering the Lowest Rates Per Night
Here you can compare the nightly rates.
| Sailing | Nights | Inside / Night | Verandah | Verandah / Night |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Nov. 12, 2027 — San Juan to Port Canaveral | 4 | $580 | $2,974 | $744 |
| Oct. 31, 2027 — New York to San Juan | 5 | $583 | $3,737 | $747 |
| Nov. 5, 2027 — Southern Caribbean | 7 | $580 | $5,420 | $774 |
| Jan. 31, 2028 — Port Canaveral | 4 | $621 | $3,181 | $795 |
| Feb. 7, 2028 — Port Canaveral | 4 | $654 | $3,191 | $798 |
| Feb. 4, 2028 — Port Canaveral | 3 | $703 | $2,512 | $837 |
| Jan. 28, 2028 — Port Canaveral | 3 | $694 | $2,544 | $848 |
The first thing that jumps out is just how competitive the New York and San Juan itineraries are.
The October 31 sailing from New York to San Juan is five nights and costs $3,737 for a verandah.
That’s just $747 per night.
The November 12 repositioning cruise is even slightly lower at $744 per night for a verandah.
Of course, both of those itineraries come with additional flight considerations, so the cruise fare isn’t the whole vacation cost.
For the more straightforward round-trip Port Canaveral cruises, January 31 and February 7 immediately stand out.
The Lowest Total Price in the Release

The lowest total fare across all 59 sailings is on:
January 28, 2028 — 3-night Bahamian
- Inside: $2,082
- Oceanview: $2,256
- Verandah: $2,544
- Concierge: $5,010
That works out at $694 per night for an inside and $848 per night for a verandah.
The itinerary visits Castaway Cay but skips Nassau.
And there’s another interesting comparison here.
The January 21 three-night cruise includes Nassau and Castaway Cay and costs $2,560 for a verandah.
January 28 costs $2,544.
So if Nassau isn’t particularly important to you, you actually pay slightly less for the Castaway-Cay-only sailing.
Where You Sail From Makes a Big Difference
When I averaged the prices by region, this was one of the clearest patterns.
| Departure / Region | Inside / Night | Oceanview / Night | Verandah / Night | Concierge / Night |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Caribbean from San Juan | $580 | $654 | $763 | $1,571 |
| Canada & New England from New York | $634 | $702 | $801 | $1,677 |
| All New York departures | $680 | $745 | $848 | $1,720 |
| Bermuda from New York | $701 | $766 | $870 | $1,741 |
| Port Canaveral Bahamian | $848 | $903 | $997 | $2,045 |
| Port Canaveral excluding holidays | $810 | $866 | $965 | $1,947 |
The difference is substantial.
A verandah on the San Juan itineraries averages $763 per night, compared with $997 per night across the Port Canaveral Bahamian programme.
That’s $234 per night.
Even when the major holiday sailings are removed, the Port Canaveral average is still $965.
This doesn’t automatically make San Juan the better choice. Airfare, hotels and the logistics of a one-way itinerary can change the overall cost considerably.
But it does show just how much the departure port influences Disney Wish pricing.
New York Is More Interesting Than I Expected
The New York sailings are one of the surprises in this release.
Across all seven departures, the average verandah rate is $848 per night.
And October 31 particularly stands out.
October 31, 2027 — New York to San Juan
This is a five-night Bermuda cruise ending in San Juan.
- Inside: $2,917
- Oceanview: $3,257
- Verandah: $3,737
- Concierge: $7,347
That’s $747 per night for a verandah.
Compare that with some of the three-night Port Canaveral cruises costing more than $1,000 per night for the same stateroom category, and the difference is significant.
You do have the additional complication of flying home from San Juan, but the cruise fare itself is very interesting.
Port Canaveral 3-Night Disney Wish Prices

The three-night cruises show just how much timing matters.

| Apr. 28 | $759 | $807 | $903 | $1,797 |
| May 5 | $763 | $811 | $907 | $1,797 |
The pattern is pretty clear.
Late January into early February is one of the strongest periods.
A verandah is:
- $2,560 on January 21
- $2,544 on January 28
- $2,512 on February 4
Then compare that with April 14 at $3,484.
That’s $972 more for the same three-night cruise length.
Four Nights Can Be Better Value
This is where some of the most useful comparisons appear.
Castaway Cay + Lookout Cay
| Date | Verandah | Per Night |
|---|---|---|
| Nov. 22, 2027 | $5,367 | $1,342 |
| Dec. 6 | $3,551 | $888 |
| Dec. 20 | $4,199 | $1,050 |
| Feb. 7, 2028 | $3,191 | $798 |
| Feb. 14 | $3,439 | $860 |
| Mar. 6 | $4,543 | $1,136 |
| Mar. 20 | $4,590 | $1,148 |
| Apr. 3 | $4,191 | $1,048 |
| Apr. 17 | $5,095 | $1,274 |
February 7 is the standout here.
It’s $3,191 for four nights, with both Castaway Cay and Lookout Cay.
Nassau + Lookout Cay
| Date | Verandah | Per Night |
|---|---|---|
| Nov. 29, 2027 | $3,622 | $906 |
| Dec. 27 | $5,070 | $1,268 |
| Jan. 31, 2028 | $3,181 | $795 |
| Mar. 27 | $4,349 | $1,087 |
| Apr. 24 | $3,597 | $899 |
January 31 is even slightly lower at $795 per night.
And that creates a particularly interesting choice.
February 4 vs February 7
This is probably one of my favourite comparisons in the whole release.
February 4
3 nights
Verandah: $2,512
February 7
4 nights
Verandah: $3,191
The four-night cruise costs $679 more.
But for that $679, you get an entire additional night.
The nightly rate actually falls from:
$837 per night to $798 per night.
And the February 7 itinerary visits both Castaway Cay and Lookout Cay.
If your budget and dates allow it, that extra $679 buys quite a lot.
Thanksgiving: What Difference Does One Week Make?
Quite a lot.
November 22 — Thanksgiving
4-night verandah: $5,367
November 29
4-night verandah: $3,622
Difference:
$1,745.
Moving by one week reduces the verandah fare by around 33%.
The itineraries aren’t identical — November 22 visits Castaway Cay and Lookout Cay, while November 29 visits Nassau and Lookout Cay — but that is still a very substantial difference.
New Year’s Eve Is in a Different League
December 31 is the highest per-night sailing in the entire release.
For three nights:
- Inside: $4,038
- Oceanview: $4,242
- Verandah: $4,620
- Concierge: $10,770
The verandah works out at $1,540 per night.
Compare that with January 28:
$2,544 for a verandah.
That’s a difference of $2,076 for the same three-night cruise length.
The New Year’s Eve premium is enormous.
Easter Makes a Big Difference Too
April 14 is another date that stands out.
The three-night verandah fare is:
$3,484
One week later, April 21:
$2,746
Difference:
$738.
And on April 28 it falls again to $2,710.
If you have some flexibility around Easter, moving the dates can make a very significant difference.
Are Longer Disney Wish Cruises Better Value?
Surprisingly, some of them are.
| Cruise Type | Inside / Night | Oceanview / Night | Verandah / Night |
|---|---|---|---|
| 3-night Nassau + Castaway | $815 | $869 | $957 |
| 4-night Bahamian | $849 | $905 | $1,002 |
| 5-night New York | $661 | $729 | $840 |
| 6-night New York | $710 | $778 | $874 |
| 7-night New York / San Juan | $610 | $683 | $784 |
There isn’t really a length discount between three and four nights from Port Canaveral.
But once you get into the longer New York and San Juan itineraries, the numbers change dramatically.
A seven-night verandah averages $784 per night, compared with $957 on the three-night Nassau and Castaway Cay cruises.
That doesn’t necessarily mean the extra nights themselves are creating the saving.
The departure port and itinerary are changing too.
But it does mean that a short cruise isn’t automatically the best value.

The Dates That Stand Out Most
After looking through the whole release, these are the ones I’d have on my shortlist.
January 28, 2028
3 nights — Castaway Cay
Verandah: $2,544
Inside: $2,082
One of the lowest total fares of the entire season.
January 31, 2028
4 nights — Nassau + Lookout Cay
Verandah: $3,181
$795 per night
One of the strongest Port Canaveral prices.
February 4, 2028
3 nights — Nassau + Castaway Cay
Verandah: $2,512
$837 per night
The lowest verandah total among the regular three-night Bahamian cruises.
February 7, 2028
4 nights — Castaway Cay + Lookout Cay
Verandah: $3,191
$798 per night
Only $679 more than the February 4 three-night cruise, with an extra night and both Disney private destinations.
October 31, 2027
5 nights — New York to San Juan via Bermuda
Verandah: $3,737
$747 per night
A very interesting price if the one-way itinerary works for you.
November 5, 2027
7 nights — Southern Caribbean
Verandah: $5,420
$774 per night
Aruba, Bonaire, Dominica and St. Maarten.
November 12, 2027
4 nights — San Juan to Port Canaveral
Verandah: $2,974
$744 per night
And the itinerary includes both Lookout Cay and Castaway Cay.
What Does All This Tell Us?
The biggest thing I take from these numbers is that there isn’t one Disney Wish price.
The differences between dates are simply too large.
Late January and early February look particularly strong from Port Canaveral.
The New York and San Juan sailings have some surprisingly attractive per-night rates.
And the holiday premiums are substantial.
Moving a sailing by a week can sometimes save hundreds — or even well over $1,000.
But there is another important lesson here too.
Don’t just compare the total price.
February 4 costs $2,512 for a three-night verandah.
February 7 costs $3,191 for four nights.
If you only look at the total, February 4 wins.
But you’re paying $679 more on February 7 for an entire additional night and an itinerary that visits both Disney private destinations.
That’s why I think the per-night figure is so useful.
It doesn’t tell you which cruise you should book.
But it does show you what you’re actually getting for your money.
And across this release, some dates clearly give you a lot more Disney Wish for it.
