Carnival Cruise lines have just announced that it will resume cruises on select ships from August 1st.
Whilst most of the Carnival fleet is still not scheduled to resume sailing until at least August 31, the news is that some select cruises are planned to sail from August 1.
They will only be sailing from 3 ports from August 1 – Miami, Port Canaveral and Galevston.
The key elements of this plan include:
Beginning August 1, Carnival plan to resume cruises on the following ships:
Galveston: Carnival Dream, Carnival Freedom and Carnival Vista
Miami: Carnival Horizon, Carnival Magic and Carnival Sensation
Port Canaveral: Carnival Breeze and Carnival Elation.
Other than these sailings from Galveston, Miami, and Port Canaveral, all other North American and Australian homeport cruises will be cancelled through August 31.
All Carnival Spirit Alaskan cruises from Seattle will be cancelled, as well as the Carnival Spirit Vancouver-Honolulu cruise on September 25 and the Honolulu-Brisbane transpacific cruise on October 6.
All Carnival Splendor cruises in Australia from June 19 to August 31 will be cancelled.
All guests affected by these changes have various options. They can have a combined future cruise credit with an onboard credit option, or they can have a full refund. Fortunately, they can easily make these changes online rather than having to call customer service. Anyone who has booked with a travel agent should consult contact them to discuss their options.
