Disney Adventure is most certainly going to be very different from any of the other Disney Cruise ships.
Not only is she much bigger – but the deck will incorporate theme park-style rides.
The deck of Disney Adventure has 7 themed areas. The one that we are looking at in this guide is Marvel Landing.
This area will have 3 major attractions:
- Ironcycle Test Run
- Py Quantum Racers
- Groot Galaxy Spin
In the picture below we are looking at the original design for the ship – remember that she was 75% finished when Disney bought her, and that a lot of elements were already fixed.
However, as you can see, Disney Adventure is barely recognizable from the original concept.
As you can see, whilst there are some structural elements that simply could not be changed, Disney has certainly put their own spin on the design.
One striking difference is that the roller coaster is much longer on Disney Adventure than it was on the original design.
You can see in the artwork below that the design and concepts are very different from the original Global Dream.
So what will each of these rides and attractions be like?
There has been some information released – and it looks as though this ship is going to be a whole lot of fun!
Ironcycle Test Run
This is going to be very very popular.
Disney Dream may have had the first water coaster at sea with the AquaDuck, but here we have the first roller coaster on a Disney Cruise ship.
Ironcycle Test Run is going to be the longest roller coaster at sea – and will stretch over 820 feet around the deck.
All Pictures Disney Concept Art
Disney Adventure guests will be able to pilot Tony Stark’s latest Ironcycle prototype through a high-speed adventure above the ship’s decks.
Each two-seater ride vehicle is inspired by the iconic red-and-gold Iron Man suits. Riders will receive a dynamic driving tutorial from Tony’s virtual assistant, F.R.I.D.A.Y.
This looks as though it is going to be fabulous – prepare for an unforgettable journey as you race through twists and turns, suspended up to 30 feet above the ship’s upper decks!
Pym Quantum Racers
Pym Quantum Racers, inspired by the action-packed car chase scene in Marvel Studio’s “Ant-Man and The Wasp,” will offer guests to opportunity to take the wheel of comically outsized toy cars and zip around a full-scale toy set track, navigating a host of giant and tiny obstacles along the way.
Groot Galaxy Spin
Guest sailing on the Disney Adventure will have the chance to fly their own Nova Corp Bass Jumper vehicles aboard Groot Galaxy Spin, inspired by Marvel Studios’ “Guardians of the Galaxy.”
Riders will lift and drop their vehicles as they spin around, immersed in the vibrant colors and awesome mixtape of classic tunes broadcasted by Groot.
