Disney Cruise Line Announces New Itineraries For Early 2017

Disney Cruise Lines has announced their itineraries for early 2017. Sailings are now available for the Disney Wonder and Disney Magic through late April 2017 and for the Fantasy and Dream through May 2017. If you are looking for 2016 sailings you can find them at

Disney Cruise 2016 Sailings

The new Disney cruise 2017 itineraries are able to be booked starting today October 7th 2015 for Platinum and Gold Castaway Club Members. Silver Castaway Club members and those who have not cruised with Disney before will be able to book from October 8th 2016.

The lines will be very very busy over the next few days. The easiest way, particularly when new itineraries are released is to contact a Disney Travel agent. It is free and they will find the best options for you – and save you a lot of time waiting on the phone.

If you have booked a cruise on board or have a placeholder cruise booked then the block out dates for 2017 are:

Disney Magic: 4/9, 4/16
Disney Wonder 4/9, 4/14 and 4/16
Disney Dream: 4/10, 4/14 and 4/17
Disney Fantasy: 4/8 and 4/15

Disney Fantasy January to May 2017 Itineraries

There is no change in the itineraries for the Disney Fantasy and she will continue to sail 7 night Eastern and Western Caribbean itineraries from Port Canaveral Florida.

You will notice that no sailings are shown between April 29th and May 19th. This is probably for a dry dock for the Disney Fantasy but no details are yet confirmed. We will let you know when we hear.

No changes for the Disney Dream either as she will be sailing her usual 3 and 4 night Bahamian cruises. Each cruise has a port stop in Nassau and Castaway Cay. The 3 night cruises sail on Friday and the 4 on a Monday.

Disney Magic will leave her home port of Miami and reposition to San Juan to sail select Southern Caribbean cruises. The ports of call are Barbados, St. Lucia, Martinique, Antigua and St. Kitts. These 7 night sailings have in my opinion some of the best port stops offered in early 2017 – the only dwnside being that there is no Castaway Cay stop. The ideal of course could be to do back to back cruises starting with the repositioning cruise Miami to San Juan with a Castaway Cay stop and then the 7 night Southern Caribbean. Well I can dream anyway!
