The Disney Wonder is finally getting new Queen beds in all staterooms. This is a change I have been waiting for a long time as it will mean that there will be enough room under the bed to store luggage. This has always been a problem on the Disney Wonder as the beds just weren’t high enough off the floor to fit most suitcases underneath.
The Disney Fantasy and the Disney Dream were designed with the higher beds so that luggage can be stored underneath. The Disney Magic beds were replaced during the extensive dry dock refurbishment in 2014.
The new Queen beds on the Disney Wonder will no longer be convertible to twin beds though.
A new dining experience is being offered on the Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy at the fine dining restaurant Remy.
Petites Assiettes de Remy, or Small Plates of Remy, is a brand-new progressive culinary journey that allows guest to sample small plates of Remy’s gourmet cuisine and fine wine as they travel throughout the restaurant.
The Petites Assiettes de Remy will be offered only on the early evening during the first day of every cruise on the Dream and Fantasy. The event includes includes six dishes from the restaurant’s seasonal menu, along with wine pairings for each course. The cost is $50 per person and including the wine pairing with each course.
Guests will begin the Remy Small Plate experience in the wine room and be offered blinis with Californian caviar and Champagne. They will then move to the main restaurant area where they will be served four additional courses. All of the dishes will of course be French-inspiredd such as grilled salmon with smoked salmon cream and Kobe beef with turnip and potato gratin, along with a specially selected glass of wine at each station.
The final dessert course and wine pairing will be served in the private Chef’s Table Dining Room.
This is another great opportunity to enjoy Remy. It is a premier experience but at $50 with wine pairings it really promises to be a great value experience.
