The Disney Fantasy has a particularly interesting schedule in Disney Cruise Line’s new Fall 2027 through Spring 2028 release.
There are 46 sailings covering 252 cruise nights, beginning on September 10, 2027 and running through the May 13, 2028 departure.
And unlike some Disney ships where most of the cruises are variations of essentially the same itinerary, the Fantasy moves around quite a bit.
She begins in Port Canaveral with four and five-night cruises, moves to San Juan and then Fort Lauderdale, spends much of the winter sailing from South Florida, and eventually returns to San Juan before heading back to Port Canaveral.
There are 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8-night cruises, and destinations include the Bahamas, Western Caribbean, Eastern Caribbean, Southern Caribbean and Bermuda.
The Fantasy will sail from Port Canaveral from September through November 2027 before moving to Fort Lauderdale.
But what I really wanted to know was what happens when you stop looking at the headline cruise price and actually compare all 46 sailings.
And there are some very big differences.
Most are obvious because they are Holidays and School Breaks but there are some surprises too.
About These Disney Fantasy Prices
All of the prices here are for two guests in one stateroom and include taxes and port fees.
Gratuities are not included.
I’ve also calculated the cost per night for every cruise. Remember that this is the total stateroom price per night for two guests, not the price per person.
This matters with the Fantasy because the lowest total price and the lowest nightly price are not the same cruise.
In fact, one of the best nightly rates in the entire release is on a seven-night cruise.
Disney Fantasy Prices at a Glance
Across all 252 cruise nights, the night-weighted average works out at approximately:

That’s quite a range.
A verandah can cost around $599 per night at one point in the schedule and more than $1,200 per night at another.
Concierge goes from approximately $1,241 to $2,565 per night.
And interestingly, the same sailing produces both the highest nightly price in all four categories — December 26 — and another single sailing produces the lowest nightly price in all four categories — January 30.
That’s a comparison worth looking at.
The Lowest Total Disney Fantasy Price
If you simply want the lowest overall cruise price, January 8, 2028 is the standout.
This is a four-night Bahamian cruise from Fort Lauderdale visiting Lookout Cay and Nassau.

Those are the lowest total prices in all four stateroom categories across these 46 sailings.
But they aren’t the lowest prices per night.
The verandah works out at about $635 per night.
And there is a seven-night cruise that actually beats it.
January 30 Is the Per-Night Winner
The January 30, 2028 sailing is a seven-night Eastern Caribbean cruise from Fort Lauderdale visiting Lookout Cay, San Juan and St. Thomas.
The total prices are:

Those are the lowest nightly rates I found in every stateroom category.
And this is exactly why I think looking at price per night is so useful.
The January 8 verandah costs $2,538 for four nights.
January 30 costs $4,196 for seven nights.
You’re paying another $1,658 overall, but you’re getting another three nights onboard plus a longer Eastern Caribbean itinerary.
If you have the time and the extra money in the overall vacation budget, January 30 looks considerably stronger when judged on what you’re actually getting for the fare.
The Port Canaveral Cruises Are Surprisingly Consistent — Until They Aren’t
The Fantasy begins this part of the schedule in Port Canaveral.
Most of the September and October prices stay within a relatively tight range.
Look at some of the five-night verandah fares:

November 5 Versus November 19
These are particularly useful to compare because they are both five-night Western Caribbean cruises from Port Canaveral visiting Cozumel and Castaway Cay.
November 5:

That’s the kind of comparison I find much more useful than simply saying certain times of year cost more.
October 27 Is Another Port Canaveral Date I Would Notice
The October 27 four-night Bahamian cruise is:

Compare that with November 24, which is also a four-night Port Canaveral cruise visiting Castaway Cay and Lookout Cay:

Then the Disney Fantasy Starts Moving
November 28 is where the schedule becomes particularly interesting.
The Fantasy sails a five-night Eastern Caribbean cruise from Port Canaveral ending in San Juan.
The prices are:

On December 10, the Fantasy sails from San Juan to Fort Lauderdale on a five-night Eastern Caribbean cruise for:

I actually think these repositioning cruises are worth looking at.
The November 28 verandah works out at about $635 per night, while December 10 is about $637 per night.
The obvious downside is that you have to deal with flights into one city and home from another, but the actual cruise pricing is very competitive.
Then Comes One of the Biggest Price Swings in the Entire Schedule
Once the Fantasy reaches Fort Lauderdale, we have three consecutive departures that couldn’t look more different.
December 19 – 7 Nights
$6,429 inside
$6,723 oceanview
$7,157 verandah
$15,081 concierge
December 26 – 7 Nights
$7,611 inside
$7,989 oceanview
$8,437 verandah

January 2 – 6 Nights

And then January 8 falls again to just $2,538 for a four-night verandah.
The December 26 sailing is the most expensive cruise per night in the entire release in every category.
A verandah works out at approximately $1,205 per night.
Concierge is around $2,565 per night.
Compare that with January 30:

For a verandah, the total price falls from $8,437 to $4,196.
That’s $4,241 less.
Concierge falls from $17,957 to $8,690 — a difference of $9,267.
The itinerary isn’t identical, but the length and departure port are.
January and February Have Some of the Strongest Fantasy Prices
Once you get beyond the end-of-year sailings, there is a cluster of dates I would be looking at very closely.

This is where I’d be doing some serious comparisons between cruise lengths rather than automatically assuming four nights is the better choice because the total price is lower.
January 22 Versus January 30
January 22 costs $2,602 for four nights in a verandah.
January 30 costs $4,196 for seven nights.
The extra three nights cost another $1,594.
And the seven-night cruise takes you beyond the Bahamas to San Juan and St. Thomas.
For me, that’s a much more interesting decision than simply asking which cruise has the lower price.
February 6 Is Another Strong Seven-Night Option
February 6 is another seven-night Eastern Caribbean cruise, this time visiting Lookout Cay, St. Thomas and St. Maarten.
Prices are:

Prices Start Climbing in March and April
March 12 is a six-night Eastern Caribbean cruise at:

Then March 18 is the very interesting eight-night Bermuda cruise.
This is the Disney Fantasy’s first Bermuda sailing, and it spends two days at King’s Wharf before visiting Lookout Cay and Castaway Cay. Disney has specifically highlighted this itinerary as a first for the ship.

It isn’t one of the lowest rates in the release, but this one is harder to compare purely on price because it’s a unique itinerary.
April 15 Gives Us Another Eight-Night Cruise
The April 15 Eastern Caribbean sailing is also eight nights, visiting Lookout Cay, San Juan, Antigua and St. Maarten.
Prices are:

That’s only $224 more for a verandah than the Bermuda sailing.
So if I were considering an eight-night Fantasy cruise, the decision between those two would probably come down far more to the itinerary than the price.
Then There Is a Very Interesting April 23 Sailing
On April 23, the Fantasy sails six nights from Fort Lauderdale to San Juan.
Prices drop to:

That’s approximately $644 per night for a verandah.
Compare that with the six-night April 9 cruise from Fort Lauderdale:

April 23 verandah: $3,863
That’s a $1,518 difference.
They aren’t the same itinerary — April 23 is a repositioning cruise ending in San Juan — but if you’re flexible about where you fly home from, that’s a very significant saving.
The Fantasy Finishes With Southern Caribbean Cruises
Once the ship reaches San Juan, there are two seven-night Southern Caribbean cruises.
April 29
Aruba, Bonaire, Curaçao and St. Maarten:

Just $44 separates the two cruises in every stateroom category.
So this is one of the occasions where I really wouldn’t let price decide it. I’d choose which Southern Caribbean itinerary appealed to me more.
Then on May 13, the Fantasy sails six nights from San Juan back to Port Canaveral for:

Again, that’s a relatively strong nightly rate for a six-night cruise.

Which Disney Fantasy Cruises Would I Look At First?
If I wanted the lowest overall price, I’d look at January 8. At $2,154 inside and $2,538 verandah, it has the lowest total starting prices in the release.
But if I wanted the strongest price per night, I’d look very seriously at January 30. Seven nights at $3,566 inside or $4,196 verandah gives it the lowest nightly rate in every category.
For a five-night cruise, September 24 looks good at $3,189 verandah, while the November 28 and December 10 repositioning cruises are also interesting at $3,174 and $3,186.
For six nights, January 2, January 16 and February 13 all have verandahs below $3,900.
And if I wanted something more unusual, the March 18 Bermuda cruise would certainly get my attention. It isn’t the strongest price in the release, but this is the Disney Fantasy’s first Bermuda cruise, so I wouldn’t expect it to compete purely on price with the more frequently repeated Bahamian and Eastern Caribbean itineraries.
My Takeaway From the Disney Fantasy Prices
The thing that stands out most to me isn’t simply that certain dates cost more. We all know that.
It’s how much difference there can be between cruises that, on paper, look remarkably similar.
November 5 and November 19 are both five-night Western Caribbean cruises from Port Canaveral visiting the same ports, yet the November 19 verandah costs $950 more.
October 27 and November 24 are both four-night Port Canaveral cruises visiting Castaway Cay and Lookout Cay, yet the verandah difference is $1,712.
And then there is January 30.
It doesn’t have the lowest total fare. But once you divide the price by seven nights, it beats every other sailing in the release across inside, oceanview, verandah and concierge.
That’s why, particularly with the Fantasy, I wouldn’t just search for the lowest headline price.
I’d decide roughly when I could travel, look at several departures around that date, and then compare both the total price and the price per night.
Because sometimes spending more on the cruise gets you considerably more Disney Fantasy for your money.
