The Disney Magic has one of the most interesting schedules in the new Fall 2027 through Spring 2028 release because she is doing a little bit of everything.
There are 41 sailings covering 222 cruise nights, starting with a Pacific Coast cruise from Vancouver to San Diego in September 2027.
She then spends part of the fall sailing from San Diego before repositioning through the Panama Canal to Galveston, where she spends the winter.
In March 2028 she makes the Panama Canal journey back to California before eventually repositioning to Vancouver.
That gives us everything from 3-night Baja cruises to 14-night Panama Canal sailings, with Mexican Riviera, Western Caribbean and Bahamian itineraries in between.
And once I started comparing all the prices, there were some very interesting patterns.
The lowest total price isn’t necessarily the best value. Some of the longer cruises have remarkably low per-night prices. There are also a couple of dates where moving your cruise by just a week or two changes the price by thousands of dollars.
So, as I did with the Disney Wish, Destiny, Treasure and Wonder, I have gone through every sailing and calculated what each one actually costs per night.
About These Disney Magic Prices
All the prices below are for two guests in one stateroom and include taxes and port fees.
Gratuities are not included.
The per-night figure is the total stateroom price divided by the number of cruise nights. It is not a per-person rate.
Because the Disney Magic schedule has such a wide range of cruise lengths, looking at the total price alone can be misleading. A 14-night Panama Canal cruise is obviously going to have a much higher total fare than a four-night cruise, but that doesn’t mean it costs more per day.
And on the Magic, that distinction turns out to be particularly important.
Disney Magic Prices at a Glance
Across all 41 sailings, the night-weighted average prices work out at approximately:

The range is huge.
For an inside stateroom, you can pay around $362 per night on one cruise and $816 on another.
For a verandah, the range runs from about $589 to $1,236 per night.
And concierge goes from roughly $1,089 to $2,650.
So there is clearly much more going on here than simply choosing the lowest total fare.
Cruise Length Makes a Big Difference
Here is the average nightly price when I group the cruises by length.

The seven-night figure looks surprisingly high, but there’s a reason for that: some of the most expensive holiday cruises in the entire release are seven nights.
What interests me far more is the six-night Mexican Riviera pricing.
Both of those sailings are exceptionally strong on a per-night basis.
October 29 Is One of the Best Prices in the Entire Release
The October 29, 2027 Mexican Riviera cruise is six nights from San Diego.
It visits Cabo San Lucas and Ensenada.

That is an exceptionally strong rate.
In fact, $1,089 per night for concierge is the lowest concierge nightly rate in this entire release.
The inside rate of $409 is also among the lowest you’ll find anywhere other than the Panama Canal cruises.
If I wanted a longer Disney Magic sailing from San Diego without committing to 14 nights, this would immediately be on my shortlist.
October 10 Is Very Similar
The other six-night Mexican Riviera cruise departs on October 10.

That’s only $120 more for an inside stateroom and $204 more for a verandah than October 29.
Both six-night cruises offer excellent value compared with many of the shorter sailings.
The Three-Night Baja Cruises
There are only two three-night cruises in this release:

They’re almost identical.
Interestingly, concierge is actually $24 lower on October 21, even though the other three categories cost slightly more.
Per night, you’re looking at around $592 to $600 for an inside stateroom and $840 to $858 for a verandah.
That isn’t terrible for a short Disney cruise, but once again, compare it with October 29.
Three nights on September 30 in a verandah: $2,520
Six nights on October 29: $3,617
For another $1,097, you double the length of the cruise.
That doesn’t make the three-night sailing a bad choice. If three nights fits your schedule and budget, that’s what matters.
But if you’re flexible, the longer cruise gives you considerably more time onboard for your money.

The five-night Baja cruises are another interesting group.

That’s just $20 more in the first three categories and $40 more in concierge.
Then compare either of them with April 9.
The April verandah is $4,702.
That’s $1,490 more than September 20.
Same number of nights.
This is exactly why looking at all the dates together is useful.
The Seven-Night Mexican Riviera Cruises
There are two standard seven-night Mexican Riviera sailings in the screenshots:

Moving from October 3 to April 14 increases the price by:

That’s the same ship, the same seven-night cruise length and the same general Mexican Riviera product.
For a verandah, April costs almost $2,000 more.
If I had flexibility, October 3 would be extremely difficult to ignore.
It works out at around:
$434 per night inside
$634 per night verandah
$1,174 per night concierge
That’s very strong for a seven-night Disney cruise.
Then the Magic Heads Through the Panama Canal
The Disney Magic has two 14-night Panama Canal cruises in this release.
These are always fascinating because the total fares look large, but once you divide by 14 nights, the picture changes completely.
November 4, 2027 – San Diego to Galveston

And this is where total price can really fool you.
The March 26 Panama Canal cruise has the lowest inside and oceanview nightly rates in the entire Disney Magic release.
Fourteen nights for $5,062 inside works out at around $362 per night for two guests.
Compare that with the December 27 seven-night cruise at $5,711.
You are actually paying less money in total for 14 nights on March 26 than for seven nights on December 27.
Of course, the Panama Canal requires two weeks of vacation and a one-way flight, so it isn’t remotely practical for everyone.
But mathematically, it is one of the strongest values in this entire release.
The Pacific Coast Repositioning Cruises Are Also Worth Watching
There are two four-night Pacific Coast cruises.

April 21 is actually the lowest total inside fare in the entire release at $1,674.
But note something slightly odd.
The April cruise is $147 lower inside than September, yet the verandah is $109 higher.
Again, pricing isn’t always moving uniformly across every category.
Then We Get to Galveston
Once the Disney Magic arrives in Galveston, the schedule changes considerably.
Most cruises are four or five-night Western Caribbean itineraries, with a handful of seven-night Bahamian sailings mixed in.
And there are some very useful comparisons here.
Four-Night Western Caribbean Prices
There are nine four-night Western Caribbean cruises from Galveston visiting Progreso.

At $2,357, January 3 is the lowest verandah total and lowest verandah nightly price anywhere in the entire release.
It works out at approximately $589 per night.
For two guests in a verandah on a Disney cruise, that’s a rate I would certainly notice.
November 18 Versus November 29
These are both four-night cruises.
November 18:
$2,862 inside
$3,662 verandah
November 29:
$1,990 inside
$2,534 verandah
That’s a difference of:
$872 inside
$1,128 verandah
And $2,016 concierge.
Same cruise length. Same ship. Same basic Galveston Western Caribbean product.
That’s a huge shift in less than two weeks.
The Five-Night Western Caribbean Cruises
This is the biggest group in the Disney Magic schedule.
Most visit both Cozumel and Progreso, although there is one January sailing that visits Progreso without Cozumel.

Same five-night cruise length.
By December 22, you’re paying $2,280 more than December 3.
That’s a 68% increase.
And concierge goes from $6,710 to $10,900.
The calendar is doing a lot of work here.
Seven-Night Bahamian Cruises From Galveston
There are four seven-night Bahamian sailings in the release.
They don’t all have exactly the same ports, so this isn’t quite as clean a comparison as some of the other groups.

Obviously December 27 has the enormous appeal of sailing over New Year, so this isn’t surprising in itself.
What is useful is seeing exactly what that date is costing you.

Which Disney Magic Cruises Would I Look At First?
There are quite a few.
If my priority were the lowest total price, I’d look at the April 21 Pacific Coast cruise at $1,674 inside. But I would factor in the flight logistics because it finishes in Vancouver.
For a short round-trip Galveston cruise, January 3 stands out, particularly at $2,357 for a verandah.
For five nights from Galveston, February 6 looks very attractive at $3,100 for a verandah.
For seven nights, January 21 is probably my favorite price in the Galveston schedule. A verandah is $4,143, and you get both Lookout Cay and Castaway Cay.
From San Diego, October 29 is one of the strongest overall choices. Six nights for $2,453 inside or $3,617 verandah is hard to ignore.
And then there are the Panama Canal cruises.
If I had the time — and I know 14 nights is a big commitment — March 26 at $5,062 inside is extraordinary on a per-night basis.
My Takeaway From the Disney Magic Prices
The Disney Magic may actually be one of the most interesting ships in this release to analyze because there is so much variety.
You can’t simply say that four nights costs less than five, or seven nights costs more than four, and assume that tells you anything useful.
Sometimes it doesn’t.
A seven-night January cruise can cost less per night than a four-night cruise.
A six-night Mexican Riviera cruise can have a lower nightly rate than a three-night Baja cruise.

Not everyone can move their vacation by a few weeks. I completely understand that.
But if you do have flexibility, the Disney Magic schedule rewards you for actually comparing the dates rather than just choosing the itinerary first.
