We do not have much longer to wait now until guests arrive at Disney’s new private island location Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point.
The announcements about what guests can expect when they visit are now coming at a regular pace, with more details just being released about food on Lighthouse Point this week as well.
Disney Cruise Line just released details of the entertainment that you can find on their new private island. This is a change for DCL as there is no scheduled entertainment on Disney’s Castaway Cay.
RUSH! A Junkanoo Celebration at Disney Lookout Cay
The Junkaroo Celebration RUSH! will introduce Disney guests to this signature festival of The Bahamas.
Guests will hear the signal of the conch shell to invite them to take part in this colorful celebration of Bahamian culture.
They will then experience an authentic Junkanoo Rush Out as performers parade to the Goombay Cultural Center, where Mickey and Minnie Mouse and Donald and Daisy Duck will dance along.
It will be interesting to see how much participation there will be in this celebration – it is certainly a very different concept to Castaway Cay.
Disney Fun in the Sun Beach Bash
What better way to be entertained on a private island than with a Disney Fun in the Sun Beach Bash?
Guests can interact with their favorite Disney characters. I am sure this will be a very popular event. It seems as though Disney is prioritizing character-meeting opportunities
Show how low you can go in Goofy’s Good Day Limbo, test your skills at Pluto’s Pineapple Ring Toss, and cool off with a splash at Chip-n-Dale’s Water Brigade, all to the sound of all-new Bahamian renditions of Disney tunes.
