Four is the magic number!
To take the total of Disney ships to 13.
We already thought that the Disney fleet was expanding rapidly. With 5 ships currently sailing and four more due to set sail by 2026, most of us thought that perhaps the expansion was over.
However, in an announcement at D23 today during the Horizons: Disney Experiences Showcase, Josh D’Amaro (with a little help from musical group All-4-One) revealed that four ships will be joining Disney Cruise Line’s ever-growing roster of award-winning ships sailing around the world.
These new ships will arrive between 2027 and 2031.
Five ships are currently in the fleet, with four others already in the works.
It seems as though 13 is the magic number with four more ships announced today.
No more details have been given, such as design, and itineraries, but this is exciting news for all Disney Cruise fans!

And there’s still more that Josh discussed during D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event. Josh revealed that the signature production aboard the Disney Destiny — which starts sailing next year — will be “Disney Hercules,” featuring the music and characters you know and love from the classic Walt Disney Animation Studios film.
Te K? will appear onstage as a 15-foot-tall puppet – the largest we’ve ever produced for a Disney Cruise Line show,” Josh told the crowd. “I’ve had a chance to see this in person, and it is stunning”
“At Disney Experiences, Imagineers dream, create, design and build these stories into real places. And we have Imagineers in place right now all around the world because everything we’re going to share with you is in active development. Plans are drawn. Dirt is moving. I just want to be clear about this: We are doing everything you’re going to hear tonight.”Josh D’Amaro
