Now that the 3 day reveal of Disney Destiny is over it is time to sit back and reflect on all the features that we know that this third Triton Class ship will have.
Sister ship to Disney Wish and the soon to be launched Disney Treasure, Destiny follows a tried and tested formula for the very successful and rapidly expanding DCL fleet.
However, there are certainly some surprises.
And not all of them are going to be popular.
Let’s look at all the features this new ship will be launching to the Disney Cruise loving public in November 2025.
The Disney Destiny will sail year-round from Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, Florida beginning in November 2025.
The ship will embark on an inaugural season of four- and five-night cruises to The Bahamas and Western Caribbean, including visits to one or both of Disney Cruise Line’s island destinations – Disney Castaway Cay and Disney Lookout Cay.
Castaway Club members can secure an inaugural season spot as early as Sept. 6, 2024, and bookings go on sale to the general public on Sept. 12, 2024.

The Grand Hall
Marvel characters are going to feature heavily on this ship.
As soon as you board Disney Destiny you will be walking into the Marvel theme.
Whilst all the other Disney ships have a traditional, classic Disney theme, this time the Marvel franchise, which was not originally a Disney creation, is going to be front and center.
The inspiration for this central hub Grand Hall of the Disney Destiny will be themed around the vibrant palette of Marvel Studios’ “Black Panther” films.
All Pictures Disney Concept Art
Every Disney cruise ship has a statue in this wide open space.
For this new ship there will be a stunning statue of T’Challa, the Black Panther: King of Wakanda, devoted son and beloved brother sworn to protect his kingdom — and the Disney Destiny.
Just off the Grand Hall on decks four and five, you will be able to write your own vacation legends at Saga, a central hub for daytime family activities and adult-exclusive evening entertainment.
The two-story, state-of-the-art venue will host a variety of interactive shows and events in an elevated environment also inspired by the architecture of Wakanda.
This is the equivalent of Luna on Disney Wish. This space is a little awkward in design as it is difficult to see the stage from the back of the upper level.
Stern characters are very important to all the Disney cruise ships.
I really didn’t see this one coming.
In what might be a controversial decision the stern character will feature a Marvel character.
This signature larger-than-life sculpture will showcase Spider-Man and his Spider-Bots, who are making a well-meant, if a bit haphazard, attempt at decorating the filigree on the back of the ship with their infamous spider webs.
DISNEY DESTINY RESTAURANTS
Each of the Disney ships has 3 rotational dining restaurants.
In a concept that is unique to Disney Cruise Line, guests rotate around the restaurants meaning that they will dine at one of the 3 restaurants. They will eat at least once in every restaurant and depending upon the length of the cruise, will dine in some, more than once.
Pride Lands: Feast of the Lion King Restaurant
Disney Wish has Arendelle, Disney Treasure will have Coco de Plaza and Disney Treasure will have a restaurant themed for the beloved Lion King movie.
Named Pride Lands: Feast of The Lion King this rotational dining restaurant will most likely have a central stage feature like Arendelle on Disney Wish.
This savanna-inspired venue will bring unique depictions of animals and nature to life through lighting and special effects. The window-lined back wall will transform from stunning sunrises to enchanting sunsets throughout the meal.
This is all the detail given at the moment but hopefully this will mean that there is another focus for the restaurant than the central stage.
A lot of the tables in Arendelle do not have a view of the stage – hopefully this new feature will mean that the Lion King restaurant will have more than one focus.
There will be a stage show with live musicians and storytellers. We are told that there will be “tiered risers that evoke African drums — as they present a musical journey through the award-winning soundtrack”.
Hopefully the tiered stage will mean that more people have a good view of the stage, although I am not sure from the concept art how much of a difference this will make.
Performances will include productions of:
- Circle of Life
- Hakuna Matata
- A mash up of I Just Can’t Wait to Be King and Be Prepared.
- An instrumental version of “Can You Feel the Love Tonight” paired with a beautiful interpretive dance; and
- A moving rendition of “He Lives in You” from the sequel film and Broadway show.
During special intervals throughout the meal, the band and performers will revisit the iconic songs from “The Lion King” using authentic African instruments and theatrical props to represent the story and characters.
No more details of exactly what will be on the menu yet.
Worlds of Marvel Restaurant
This one wasn’t so hard to predict, but if you are not a Marvel fan you were probably hoping for different news.
It has been confirmed that Disney Destiny will feature Worlds of Marvel as a rotational dining restaurant, just like it’s sister ships Disney Wish and the soon to be launched Disney Treasure.
This restaurant will host an out-of-this-world celebration starring the lively duo of Rocket and Groot from the blockbuster Marvel Studios “Guardians of the Galaxy” films.
During a tribute to the many Super Heroes of the Marvel Cinematic Universe who keep the world safe, Groot will take over the proceedings and bring the festivities to the next level, organizing the ultimate surprise party for his friend Rocket — just in time for dessert.
The story will unfold onscreen while you eat to the beat of an “awesome mix” of hit songs and test your knowledge of the Marvel Universe with trivia and activities for the whole family.
This is the second version of the Worlds of Marvel show, the concept of which was introduced a short time ago for Disney Treasure.
The Worlds of Marvel restaurant has mixed reviews from guests on Disney Wish. Some find that the restaurant is too loud and that the tables are very close together.
It is likely that the menu for this will be exactly the same as on Disney Treasure – this hasn’t been revealed in detail yet.
1923 on Disney Destiny
It has also been confirmed that there will be a 1923 restaurant on Disney Destiny, just like her sister ships.
This is likely to be a popular decision as 1923 on Disney Wish is often heralded as the best restaurant of the rotational dining choices.
The new 1923 Restaurant on the Disney Wish is themed as a tribute to the ones who started it all – Walt Disney and his brother Roy.
The restaurant is located just off the Grand Hall on Deck 3. You will notice that one side is dedicated to Walt Disney and the other side to his brother Roy.
The theme is the Golden Age of animated filmmaking.
Why 1923?
The 1923 name comes from the year that The Walt Disney Company was founded by Walt and Roy.

BARS ON DISNEY DESTINY
Some familiar favorites, but mostly there are new themes to the bars in the new ship.
De Vil’s Piano Lounge
The Piano Bar will be located where Nightingale’s is on Disney Wish.
One of my favorite moments in the Golden Mickeys show is the fabulous performance by Corella De Vil, so I am beyond excited to see that she will have her own themed bar on Disney Destiny.
It seems to be that Disney Destiny is making use of different technology in the De Vil Piano Lounge, perhaps similar to the screen in Hyperspace Lounge on Disney Wish.
We have learned that there will be a glowing fiber optic Cruella that appears and disappears in the wall behind an eye-catching spotted piano.
One other detail, which is perhaps surprising, is that De Vil’s will have one side of the lounge open to the Grand Hall.
This is not how Nightingale’s is designed – as this bar on Disney Wish is located off the Grand Hall, but is entirely enclosed, albeit with glass walls.
I am not sure how it will work that the bar is open to the Grand Hall.
I can see that it will be a more inclusive space. Nightingale’s is a beautiful space, but you really can be well into your cruise before you discover it.
The reveal for Disney Destiny described the concept that you will be able to enjoy the De Vil lounge and also have a view of the Grand Hall.
Might be great for people watching, and getting a sense of the grandeur of the design, but I can see that people are not necessarily going to like that open space. It will certainly be interesting to see what guests think.
The Sanctum
This will be the first Marvel Studios inspired bar on a Disney ship.
The theme will be the powerful sorcerers and mystical artifacts of Marvel Studios’ “Doctor Strange.”
Like all Sanctorums, this centrally located venue will contain mystical items designed to aid sorcerers in protecting the world – but it will also be home to entertainment; a magical array or cocktails, spirits and coffees; and unique surprises from Doctor Strange’s New York Sanctum, including a circular mirror behind the bar that evokes the building’s iconic window.
Cask and Canon
Another fan favorite coming to Disney Destiny is a Pirates of the Caribbean themed pub.
Located where the Keg and Compass is on Disney Wish, you can expect an evening of revelry, recreation and — of course —?rum.
Inspired by the iconic characters and scenes from the beloved Disney Parks attractions around the world, the new pub will be an eclectic yet cozy watering hole furnished with treasures “acquired” (read: pillaged and pilfered) during the pirates’ many voyages around the globe.
Haunted Mansion Parlor
This is likely to be an incredibly popular venue on Disney Destiny.
When it was announced that Disney Treasure would feature a bar themed after this beloved Disney attraction it was greeted overwhelmingly positively.
This will be in the space that Hyperspace Lounge occupies on Disney Wish. This initially popular, but ultimately underwhelming Star Wars themed bar opened to much hype – pun intended. But it never really lived up to the promise.
I have much higher hopes for Haunted Mansion Parlor.
As with all the best Disney attractions, this happy haunts themed space has a back story. To read more about what we can expect here is a guide:

DISNEY DESTINY STATEROOMS
The new ship will offer spacious, comfortable and functional staterooms.
It is highly likely that they will be exactly the same configuration and category as Disney Wish and Treasure, but with their own unique interior design.
Most staterooms will feature Disney Cruise Line’s signature split-bath concept. Only the standard inside staterooms will not have this feature.
There will also be a large number of staterooms with a connecting door. Ideal for families and parties of friends.
Each stateroom will showcase custom artwork depicting the epic journeys of famous Disney legends.
Verandah Stateroom
The Disney Destiny’s most spacious non-Concierge staterooms, each with a private balcony are the Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom with Verandah and Deluxe Family Oceanview Stateroom with Verandah.
The Deluxe Family Oceanview staterooms will sleep 5. The other verandah staterooms will sleep either 3 or 4 depending upon category.
Oceanview Stateroom
As usual on a Disney ship, guests will have a choice of Oceanview stateroom, These are ideal if you want to save a bit of money and not have a verandah, but you do want a view to the outside.
You will have a porthole window in a Deluxe Family Oceanview Stateroom or Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom.
Inside Stateroom
An inside stateroom is always a great option on a Disney ship. Disney Destiny will offer inside staterooms which are usually the lowest priced accommodations.
A standard inside stateroom will not have the split bathroom, but the deluxe will.
Disney Destiny Concierge Staterooms
If you want the very best staterooms and the perks of Disney Concierge then opt for the Concierge Staterooms and Suites on Disney Destiny.
The theme for the Concierge staterooms will be the Disney classic Fantasia.
Here are the options for Concierge staterooms and suites:
- Concierge 2-Story Royal Suite with Verandah
- Concierge 1-Story Royal Suite with Verandah
- Concierge 1-Bedroom Suite with Extended Verandah
- Concierge 1-Bedroom Suite with Verandah
- Concierge Family Oceanview Stateroom with Verandah
- Concierge Family Oceanview Stateroom
Concierge guests will of course have access to the lounge and private sun deck as well as the usual perks of this category.
There will also be four Royal Suites. The design of these is inspired by “Hercules” and “The Incredibles.”
Hercules Royal Suite
Celebrating the majestic powers and noble heroism at the heart of Disney Animation’s Hercules.
The Hero Suites will be inspired by Greco-Roman architecture, colors and patterns.
The Incredibles Royal Suite
The boldly themed IncrediSuites will invoke the exhilarating exploits of “The Incredibles” through a streamlined mid-century modern aesthetic inspired by the Pixar films.
I think Edna Mode would approve of this stylish design.
Concierge Solarium
Seven special oceanview rooms located directly above the bridge and adorned in the distinctive iconography of Pixar’s “The Incredibles” will provide awe-inspiring, floor-to-ceiling views.
The Destiny Tower Suite – Tony Stark Approved
Ever wanted to live like Tony Stark? Well probably not, but anyway the new Disney Destiny Tower Suite is a design built with Iron Man in mind.
With over 2,000 square feet of space this suite which is located in the forward Funnel of Disney Destiny, is the most expensive accommodation on the ship.
Of course, with all that luxury, you also get access to all the Concierge perks including the Lounge and private sun deck.
In keeping with the Marvel theme, Disney Destiny Concierge Lounge will be outfitted with art that celebrates the Avengers, Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, and will be inspired by the sophisticated styling of their Manhattan headquarters.
ENTERTAINMENT
Disney ships are known for their outstanding and unique entertainment. There really is something for all ages on a Disney Cruise.
Broadway Quality Shows
It might not be a surprise, but it is a bit disappointing that there won’t be any new Disney Broadway style production shows for Disney Destiny.
However, there will be some fabulous shows in the Walt Disney Theater, even if they do appear on other ships in the fleet.
Disney Destiny will feature “Frozen, A Musical Spectacular” based on the very popular Disney animated movie.
The second show will be “Disney Seas the Adventure” which debuted on Disney Wish and features classic Disney and Pixar characters including Captain Minnie Mouse and Goofy.
Pirate Night
One of the most popular events on a Disney cruise is the Pirate Night. Disney Destiny will have the Pirate’s Rockin’ Parlay Party, a roguish nighttime spectacular featuring a live rock band and Disney Cruise Line’s famous fireworks at sea.

Hero Zone
The innovative indoor recreation area debuted on Disney Wish. It features “The Incredibles”-themed obstacle courses and free-play sports.
Disney Unchartered Adventure
Join favorite Disney and Pixar heroes on a virtual quest throughout the ship while playing Disney Uncharted Adventure on your mobile device.
Wonderland and Never Land Cinemas
All the Disney ships have a movie theater but Disney Wish and the Triton Class ships have two. This means even more chances to watch Disney, Pixar, Marvel, and Lucasfilm movies.
KIDS AREAS ON DISNEY DESTINY
Disney Cruise Line are known for there amazing kids programs.
Children ages 3 to 10 will enter the captivating worlds of favorite Disney stories at Disney’s Oceaneer Club, a wonderland of immersive spaces themed to Marvel Super Heroes, Disney princesses, Star Wars heroes, Disney Imagineers, and Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse.
At Edge, tweens ages 11 to 13 will have fun, make friends and play games in a bright, colorful hangout inspired by a New York City loft.
For guests ages 14 to 17, Vibe will be a trendy loft where teens can meet new friends, watch movies, play games and participate in group activities created just for them.
It’s a Small World Nursery will offer babysitting services for little cruisers aged 6 months to 3 years in a whimsical environment inspired by the beloved Disney attraction.
There is a nominal charge for this, and unlike the other kids clubs you do have to book in advance.

ADULT AREAS
No surprises here.
All the areas echo what is available already on Disney Wish and will soon be on Disney Treasure.
No doubt there will be differences in the interior design, but the locations and concepts will be the same.
- A suite of premium dining venues will include Palo Steakhouse, combining authentic Italian dining with the refinement of a modern steakhouse; Enchanté by Chef Arnaud Lallement, offering gourmet, French-inspired cuisine in a romantic and intimate setting; and The Rose, an idyllic setting for a pre-dinner aperitif or after-dinner cocktail.
- Senses Spa will provide a tranquil oasis offering indulgent spa and beauty treatments in private treatment rooms, lavish spa villas, and steam and aromatherapy rooms, while Senses Fitness will offer a state-of-the-art exercise and wellness facility.

Disney Destiny The Rainforest
Disney Wish has a somewhat contraversial Rainforest Room. It has both indoor and outdoor space – but many people do not like the fact that it does not have an ocean view, and that you can be viewed from above.
It was always clear that Disney Destiny Rainforest would have the same structure – nothing can be done about that. However, it could be that the indoor area could have been redesigned to make better use of the space.
But it seems from the concept art that Disney Destiny Rainforest will be exactly the same, with the slightly useless swinging chairs in the inside area that look great but take up lots of space and are not that functional either.
Related: Disney Wish Rainforest – A Bad Design?
- Untangled Salon will be a chic venue for high-end hairstyling and beauty services, and Hook’s Barbery will be a unique twist on a traditional men’s salon with a “hidden” bar.
OUTDOOR AREAS ON DISNEY DESTINY
These will also be substantially the same as Disney Wish and Disney Treasure. There will no doubt be some design differences, but essentially they will be similar.
And yes, you will still have the controversial pool area for adults just like on Disney Wish.
Related: Disney Wish Pools – Hit or Miss?
- In an expansive district themed to Mickey and friends, you and your family will discover seven pools staggered among tiered decks, an abundance of luxe lounge chairs, an imaginative take on fast-casual fare with a festive character twist and the AquaMouse.
- Little cruisers will delight in a water wonderland themed to Pixar’s “Toy Story,” including a splash zone, wading pool, family waterslide and smoothie bar.
- Adults will indulge in sun-drenched serenity at Quiet Cove, a peaceful refuge set away from the bustle of family activities that will feature a luxurious infinity pool, poolside bar and chic café.
Disney Destiny AquaMouse
The Disney Destiny is set to debut a unique new storyline centered around Disney Animation villains for AquaMouse.
This 760-foot-long water ride, which stands tall on the ship’s upper decks, will feature an exclusive original soundtrack created by Emmy award-winning composer Christopher Willis and lyricist Elyse Willis. The new show will capture the quintessential humor found in Mickey Mouse animated shorts.
In “Sing a Silly Song,” Mickey and Minnie will guide guests on what initially appears to be a daunting journey to the summit of Villain Mountain. Confronted by some of Disney Animation’s most notorious villains, the pair will use a playful song and a touch of pixie dust to turn each frightening encounter into a whimsical surprise. Guests will enjoy laughs and splashes as characters like the Queen of Hearts from “Alice in Wonderland,” Scar from “The Lion King,” and Chernabog from “Fantasia,” among others, find themselves in hilariously unexpected scenarios.
“Sing a Silly Song” is one of the four shows that will be featured on AquaMouse aboard the Disney Destiny. Each show will be complete with music, lighting, special effects, and plenty of splashtacular surprises.

Unless I missed it, there are only 2 shows listed. Pirate night doesn't count. There are normally 3 shows, plus the pirate show. What is the third show supposed to be?
