Disney Cruise Line has revealed more details about the exciting new Cruella De Vil themed bar on Disney Destiny.
This boldly designed space will immerse guests in Cruella’s signature style, with a color palette of red, black, and white, and a design that is sure to stand out.
The centerpiece of De Vil’s lounge will be a striking spotted piano, accompanied by a glowing, fiber optic Cruella that appears and disappears in the wall—a feature that sounds similar to the innovative technology in the Hyperspace Lounge on the Disney Wish.
De Vil’s is following the design choice of Scat Cat Lounge on Disney Treasure and has an enclosed bar area and a bar which is open to the Grand Hall. This is a change from Nightingales on Disney Wish which does not have the outside bar area.
The change to the design for Scat Cat Lounge in contrast to Nightingales is a much better idea as it gives guests another bar space to order from.
This design choice makes the space more accessible and inclusive, allowing guests to enjoy the atmosphere while still taking in the grandeur of the ship.
However, it may not appeal to everyone, as open spaces in a number of the bars on Disney Treasure and Disney Wish have received mixed reviews.
But you do have the option of seating within the lounge itself as well.
This is sure to be a popular bar. The only problem with Nightingales and Scat Cat is that they are relatively small spaces and have limited seating. If you want to be sure to get a spot then later in the evening or during dinner and show times is a good option.
One thing we can count on is that this lounge will feature a creative cocktail menu, following the trend of elevated drink offerings on Disney’s newer ships. It promises to be an exciting and stylish addition to the Disney Destiny lineup.
