It’s time for another Seven Dwarfs Mine Train Ride Opening Update. Things seem to be happening over in New Fantasyland with the testing of the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train vehicles on the track this week. There is still no official word from Disney on when the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train ride will open but it is still thought to be set for early 2014.

Here is a short video showing the ride vehicles out on the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train track.
It seems like we have been waiting a long time for the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train to open. It was announced back on January 18th 2011 and is of course now the final attraction we are waiting for in the very magical Fantasyland Expansion.
The Seven Dwarfs attraction features a new type of ride technology which simulates a swaying motion – just like that you would experience on a mine train. From the video the vehicle motion looks pretty smooth. The mine train is going to be a roller coaster attraction designed to appeal to all of the family, rather like Big Thunder Mountain.
The height requirement for the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train is 38″. Again this is an indication that it is a family attraction rather than a thrill roller coaster.
It is an indoor and outdoor roller coaster and of course we can expect that the theming will be excellent. This is Disney after all.
We are so hoping that the Seven Dwarfs ride will be open when we visit in February. Are you
