Wanting to go on a Disney Cruise to Alaska, but want to know what the cost will be? A Disney Wonder cruise to Alaska is truly a trip of a lifetime, but will it fit into your budget.
Here I am looking at the Disney Alaska Cruise price for 2022 sailings.
I also wanted to do a price comparison between the 2021 sailings and the 2022.
I know that many people thought that Disney would be increasing their prices for 2022, but I wanted to see how much truth there is to this.
And also, before you say it, yes, I know that the 2021 Disney Cruise Alaska sailings did not happen, but I still think it’s useful to compare the pricing for the 2 years.
I am sure that there will be no problem with the Disney Alaska 2022 sailings – so grab yourself a relative bargain on the 2022 rates before they potentially skyrocket. I would predict that the Disney Alaska 2023 sailings will be higher priced than 2022.
Here I am going to compare opening day prices. What do I mean by this?
Every time Disney Cruise Line releases new itineraries they give priority to Castaway Club members (those who have sailed with DCL before).
They always follow this pattern with the order that guests can book:
- Monday – Platinum Castaway Club Members and Disney’s Golden Oaks residents
- Tuesday – Gold Castaway Club Members
- Wednesday – Silver Castaway Club members, Adventures by Disney Insiders, and DVC members who have not previously sailed with DCL.
- Thursday – General Public
Usually, the earlier you book the lower the pricing – although this year of 2021 has been a little different.
You can see our comparisons with opening day prices compared to the week later in these articles:

Which Disney Cruise Prices are Shown?
The prices which are shown are for the lowest advertised price in that category. For example, the lowest price verandah stateroom will usually be a white wall verandah stateroom. Other types of verandah stateroom, may be priced higher.
Staterooms are also available for 3 and 4 guests. There are limited staterooms for 5. Concierge staterooms are also available for up to 7 guests. All are at additional costs for guests over and above the price for 2 which is shown here.
The prices shown are for opening day prices for summer itineraries for 2021 and 2022.
I am showing this as a price comparison only. If you look on the Disney website right now you most likely will not see these prices.
The cost of a Disney cruise varies from day to day – these prices are meant to show you the cost in one snapshot of time. And to work out if Disney did indeed put up the cruise prices for Alaskan cruises for 2022.
Disney Wonder 7-Night Alaskan Cruise from Vancouver
Day 1: Vancouver (British Columbia), Canada
Day 2: At Sea
Day 3: Dawes Glacier, Alaska
Day 4: Skagway, Alaska
Day 5: Juneau, Alaska
Day 6: Ketchikan, Alaska
Day 7: At Sea
Day 8: Vancouver (British Columbia), Canada
As you can see from many of these price comparisons between Disney Alaska 2021 and 2022 costs, a lot of the 2022 cruises started at a lower rate.
Will that remain so if you are booking later on in 2021? I very much doubt it. As demand comes back, prices will go higher.

The next 2 cruises aren’t comparable between 2021 and 2022. The reason for this is that in 2021 there was a 9 night sailing in this gap.
All sailings longer than 7 nights were subsequently cancelled in 2021.

Disney Alaska Cruise Price Concierge
So we were surprised by the Disney Alaska Cruise Price increases (or lack of them) for 2022 over 2021.
However, one category where there was an increase for 2022 is for the Disney Wonder Concierge Staterooms. This really isn’t that big of a surprise.
Although the number of Concierge Staterooms has increased over the years, there really aren’t that many concierge staterooms.
And the demand is consistent and it sells out. So that is why we see the price increase. That old law of supply and demand.

Will You Be Sailing on a Disney Cruise to Alaska?
A Disney Cruise to Alaska is an amazing experience – a trip of a lifetime!
The Disney Alaska Cruise Price comparison for opening day surprised me. It seems that if you book early in 2021 for a 2022 Alaskan cruise you may get it at a price of less than the 2021 sailings.
Of course, it is unlikely that the 2021 sailing will actually sail – but all the more reason to sail in 2022 if you have that 125% Future Cruise Credit.
