Thinking about leveling up your Disney cruise experience? The Concierge level is probably on your radar—and for good reason.
It’s marketed as the ultimate way to cruise in luxury, with a long list of exclusive perks, personalized service, and VIP treatment that sounds almost too good to pass up.
But let’s be real—this kind of luxury comes with a significant price tag.
So, the big question is: Is it worth it?

I’ve experienced Disney Cruise Concierge firsthand, and I’m breaking it all down for you—the perks, the price, and whether or not it’s the right move for your next Disney adventure.
What is Disney Cruise Concierge?
Disney Cruise Concierge is the premium accommodation option for those looking for an elevated experience at sea.
In other words – it gives you upgraded staterooms and some perks.
Concierge staterooms and suites are among the most spacious and well-appointed on the ship, offering added comfort and convenience.

Along with your room, you’ll enjoy access to exclusive areas, enhanced services, and a dedicated Concierge team to assist with your needs.
Each Disney ship offers Concierge options, including Oceanview Staterooms with Verandahs, One and Two Bedroom Suites, luxurious Royal Suites and even Tower Suites in the ships funnel.
However, the specific facilities and experiences can vary depending on the ship, so it is essential to know what each ship offers.
Disney Cruise Concierge Lounge and Deck Facilities by Ship
The concierge facilities are very different according to the specific ship.
The Classic Ships, Disney Magic and Wonder were not originally designed to have a concierge lounge. It was only in subsequent dry docks years after their launch that the lounge and outdoor deck was added.
Over the years, DCL has allocated much more ship real estate space and money to concierge staterooms. The Wish Class ships show how the concept has evolved – but even the older ships have allocated more staterooms and even created lounges were they didn’t exist before.
The Classic Ships
The Concierge concept was in it’s infancy when the first ships were built over 20 years ago.

How Much Does Concierge Cost?
Let’s address the big question: how much does Concierge actually cost?
This is a very difficult question to answer as there are many variables:
- The ship. The newer ships are generally higher priced.
- Availability. Concierge staterooms book quickly. The closer to opening date you book the lower the price.
- The itinerary. Alaska and European sailings tend to be higher priced. Australia and New Zealand sailings are usually the lowest.
Here you can see the opening day prices for Disney Treasure when sailings were released:

Safe to say that on all the Disney ships a Concierge Family Stateroom with Verandah is a big step up in price from a non concierge Verandah staterooms.
And the Suites are a big step up from those.

Disney Cruise Concierge Perks
Concierge guests enjoy a range of exclusive benefits as well as access to the lounge and outside decks.
Here’s a detailed look at what’s included:
Dedicated Concierge Hosts
The Concierge Hosts are the heart of the experience. They’re available to assist with anything you need, from dining reservations to special requests.
Priority Booking for Activities and Dining
One of the biggest perks of Concierge is the ability to book activities, dining, and excursions ahead of other guests. This makes a huge difference when trying to secure reservations for popular experiences like:
- Cabanas on Castaway Cay (Disney’s private island).
- Signature dining at Palo, Remy and Enchante
- Limited-capacity excursions.
- Royal Court Tea
This is a huge perk – both before and during your cruise.
Concierge guests send an email Shoreside Concierge up to 130 days prior to boarding with all your requests.
Online booking for concierge guests is available starting 123 days before sailing.
This gives you an invaluable head start on certain bookings. If you want that Castaway Cabana then this is probably the only change you are going to get one.

When you are sailing on your cruise the Concierge Team is there to help you with anything that you need.
They really do want to do everything that you can to make sure you have a wonderful experience.
One thing I will always remember is that wonderful Concierge Host, a fellow Brit, who I mentioned to that I missed Branston Pickle. She actually found me some on the ship (it’s definitely not standard)! and every day after that I had my favorite cheese and pickle sandwich waiting for me in the lounge.
Priority Boarding and Disembarkation
From the moment you arrive at the port, Concierge guests are treated like VIPs.
You’ll have access to a dedicated check-in line and waiting area, and you’ll be among the first to board the ship.
Having said that, not all ports are created equal. The Disney Treasure Port Canaveral Boarding Area is a private space, not luxurious, but you board through a private door ahead of the crowd. And yes, this does mean that you miss the Micky Ears.

However, the Port Canaveral terminal which Disney is using for Disney Wish really doesn’t have a particularly good waiting area for Concierge Guests. It is just a roped off area in the main termial.
Your stateroom will also be ready earlier than others, allowing you to skip the wait and start enjoying your vacation right away.
On disembarkation day, you’ll receive priority treatment again, avoiding the crowds and long lines as you leave the ship. You can also order Room Service Breakfast on disembarkation day, which isn’t available to standard guests.
Is it Worth it?
This is definitely one of those “nice to have” benefits. It is a great feeling to be first on the ship.
It is also good to have priority disembarkation – it is bad enough to have to leave the ship, but at least not having to stand in a line makes you feel slightly better. And Room Service breakfast makes the final morning a lot more relaxed.
Priority Theatre Seating
This is one of my favorite perks. Particularly on Disney Treasure – as it is a new ship the demand for the shows, particularly Moana, is very high, so it is nice to not have to stand in line to be sure of getting a seat.
On some of the ships there is allocated seating for Concierge Guests. On the Classic Ships Magic and Wonder, you can enter the Walt Disney Theatre before every one else and pick a seat.
You also get free popcorn, and of course you can take your drink from the Concierge Happy Hour with you if you want.
Embarkation Lunch
Everyone has the opportunity to have a sit down lunch when they board – there is not need to head to the buffet.
But Concierge Guests get a dedicated restaurant and a slightly different menu with complimentary alcoholic beverages.

Is it Worth It? This is a nice start to the cruise and it is a good opportunity to meet your Concierge Team. However, unlike other cruise lines, this is the only opportunity for Concierge Guests to have a dedicated space at a restaurant.
It’s a nice perk, but it’s not that much of one.

Enhanced Stateroom Amenities
Concierge rooms and suites come with several upgrades to make your stay more comfortable:
- Pillow Menu: Choose between feather, memory foam, or hypoallergenic pillows.
- Luxury Bedding and Robes: Plush duvets and soft robes elevate your in-room experience.
- Upgraded Toiletries: High-quality products in your stateroom
- Personalized Room Service: Enjoy a wider menu, including, if you are staying in a Suite main dining room meals delivered straight to your stateroom.
Concierge Lounge Access
Now this is one of the best perks.

The Concierge Lounge is your private retreat onboard. Open from early morning until late evening, it offers complimentary snacks, light meals, and drinks.
Every lounge has a fabulous Coffee Maker where you can make your own creations – from espresso to Cappuccino.

Every Lounge has Happy Hour in the Lounge from 5 pm until 10 pm. This includes beer, wine and cocktails.
Private Concierge Sundeck
For those who value peace and quiet, the private Concierge sundeck is a game-changer.
This exclusive area is a serene escape from the busy pool deck.

You’ll find loungers, fresh towels, complimentary sunscreen, and even cooling facial sprays to keep you comfortable.

As we have talked about earlier, the concierge sundecks do vary a lot in how they are designed. The newer ships have decks that are much more impressive than the Classic ships.
But all are a nice, relatively quiet place to relax.
Is Disney Cruise Concierge Worth The Cost?
The answer depends on your priorities and budget. Here’s my take:
When Concierge is Worth It:
- If you value luxury and personalized service.
- On shorter cruises, where priority booking and early boarding make a big difference.
- For special occasions like honeymoons or milestone birthdays.
When It Might Not Be Worth It:
- If you’re on a tight budget. The money saved could go toward a second cruise or other vacation experiences.
- On longer cruises, where there’s less competition for activities and dining reservations.
Final Thoughts

Disney Cruise Concierge is a luxury upgrade that offers exceptional service, exclusive perks, and a touch of magic.
While it’s not necessary to have an amazing Disney cruise, it can elevate your experience to a whole new level—if your budget allows.
If you’ve been considering Concierge, and it is in budget I’d recommend trying it at least once, especially for a shorter cruise or a special occasion. It’s an unforgettable way to sail, and the memories you’ll create are priceless.
