Exciting news! Disney Cruise Lines has just announced that there will be cruises sailing from San Diego in 2017. The Disney Wonder will sail in Alaska for the summer and then sail her way back to San Diego for a variety of Mexican Riviera and Baja Mexico cruises.

The Disney Wonder is one of our favorite Disney cruise ships. She is one of the smallest in the fleet, but we think that this just adds to her charm. These cruises from San Diego offer Californian residents a great option for sailings in the Fall of 2017. If you are looking for a Disney cruise and live on the West Coast this is the perfect opportunity.
Disney Cruise San Diego Baja 2 Night Cruise
If your time is limited these 2 night cruises will appeal to you. The cruise makes just one port stop in Ensenada. It is a great opportunity to get a taste of what Disney cruises is all about – but we would always say that 2 nights is a very short cruise. Think carefully before you commit to such a short itinerary as you will not get a huge amount of time on board the ship. Remember that you will most likely be disembarking early in the morning on the final day of the cruise so you will not even experience 48 hours on the ship. Having said that, a Disney cruise is always an amazing experience!
The 2 night cruise itinerary from San Diego sails on 5/12/2017, 9/15/2017, 9/22/2017 and 10/13/2017.
The ports of call are:
Day 1 San Diego
Day 2 Ensenada
Day 3 San Diego
Disney Cruise 3 Nights From San Diego to Baja
The 3 night cruise from San Diego also has a port stop in Ensenada but adds a Day at Sea. The 3 night cruises sail on 5/14/2017 and 10/5/2017.
Day 1 San Diego
Day 2 Ensenada
Day 3 At Sea
Day 4 San Diego
If you can afford the extra cost and time we would highly recommend this over the 2 night cruise. That extra Day at Sea will make a lot of difference to your cruise experience.
Disney Cruise 4 Night Baja From San Diego
The 4 night Disney cruise has a port stop in Cabo San Lucas instead of Ensenada. We have sailed on many Mexican cruises and really very much prefer a port stop in Cabo to Ensenada. Most of the time in Ensenada these days we just stay on the ship. Therefore if your choice is between a 3 or a 4 night we would say really think about adding this extra day, not only because you will get an extra day to enjoy the Disney Wonder, but also because Cabo is a much better option than Ensenada.
There is one 4 night sailing on 10/1/2017.
Day 1 San Diego
Day 2 At Sea
Day 3 Cabo San Lucas
Day 4 At Sea
Day 5 San Diego
Disney Cruise 5 Night Sailing From San Diego
The Disney Wonder 5 night sailings from San Diego include port stops in both Ensenada and Cabo San Lucas. The only 5 night sailing leaves San Diego on 10/22/2017.
Day 1 San Diego
Day 2 At Sea
Day 3 Cabo San Lucas
Day 4 At Sea
Day 5 Ensenada
Day 6 San Diego
Disney Cruise 7 Night Mexican Riviera Cruise From San Diego
At last! The return of the 7 night Mexican Riviera cruises from San Diego that we have been waiting for!
There are 2 different itineraries for the Disney Wonder 7 night Mexican Riviera Cruise. The first one sails on 9/24/2017 and has the following itinerary:
Day 1 San Diego
Day 2 At Sea
Day 3 At Sea
Day 4 Puerto Vallarta
Day 5 Mazatlan

Day 8 San Diego
As you will see this cruise skips Ensenada, but adds Mazatlan and Puerto Vallarta.
The 7 night Disney Mexican Riviera alternative itinerary sails on 10/15/2017. This has the same port stops, but the days at sea are in a different order.
