What are the Disney Panama Canal Cruises for 2014? If you are thinking of booking a Panama Canal cruise in 2014 Disney cruise line is an excellent choice. We sailed on the Disney Panama Canal cruise in September 2013 and it was one of the best vacations we have ever experienced.
There are 2 Disney Panama Canal cruises for 2014. Both are on the Disney Wonder

The experience of sailing through the Panama Canal is one that I will never forget. Of course being able to do that whilst Chip and Dale were up on deck with you made it extra special!
The longer Disney cruises are a great choice if you have the opportunity to sail on these. As well as all of the usual features of a Disney cruise, they do have some special extras which are not usually scheduled on the shorter cruises.
We enjoyed a Galley Tour, and a Behind The Scenes Tour which took you backstage in the Walt Disney Theater. These peeks at how the Disney Wonder runs behind the scenes were another highlight of this Panama Canal cruise.
The one thing that I wish that a Panama Canal cruise included is a visit to Disney’s private island Castaway Cay. Unfortunately that is not on the schedule for the Disney Panama Canal Cruises for 2014.
There will likely be Disney Panama Canal Cruises for 2015 but the schedule has not yet been posted for later in 2015. The itineraries for the Disney Wonder 2015 will depend largely on the date that is given for the opening of the larger Panama Canal locks as well as when the dry dock is scheduled. The Disney Wonder will most probably have to have the stabilizing fin like the one which was fitted to the Disney Magic late last year. This will mean that the Disney Wonder will no longer be able to sail through the existing Panama Canal locks.
We certainly hope that the Disney Wonder will be sailing the Panama Canal, some West Coast and of course the very popular Alaskan cruises in 2015. We will keep you posted!
