Disney Princess Meet and Greet

Disney Princess Meet and Greet Overview

A trip to Disneyland Resort is never complete without visiting some of the most beloved Disney Princesses.

Getting to see and interact with a Disney Princess is one of the most popular highlights for many families when visiting a Disney park.

Fortunately, there are plenty of opportunities and princess greeting spots that you can easily seek out. Although there are specific Disneyland princess locations, always remember that anything can happen.

In many cases, a Disney Princess can just appear wandering by or suddenly pop up in a new area. So keep your eyes open for any potential princess sightings!

Meeting princesses at Disneyland can change at times since character meet and greets can be more spontaneous. However, parades are an excellent way to spot a ton of Disney princesses.

There are even occasions where you can meet princesses along with the villains from their story. While the villains can be scary sometimes, they are still a lot of fun to talk to because it’s all pretend.

Don’t be surprised when you see Snow White and the Evil Queen right along the Wishing Well at the castle – not to mention that the utterly vain and hilarious Gaston is often sighted on the search for Belle!

Some of the most common princesses you’ll run into at Disneyland include Sleeping Beauty, Ariel, Belle, Tiana, Cinderella, Elsa, Rapunzel, Anna, Raya, Merida, and Snow White.

Let’s explore some of the most prominent Disneyland princess locations to find specific princesses and the best times to visit:

Main Meet and Greet Spots

Fantasy Faire is arguably the most ideal area to meet the princesses at Disneyland. You can find it right in front of Sleeping Beauty’s Castle. If meeting Disney princesses is a top priority on your list, then this place is a must-visit!

Royal Hall

Royal Hall can be found within Fantasy Faire. It is the perfect place to meet Disney princesses because you wait in line once and you get to meet three characters. The princesses rotate and are available from 10 AM to 5 PM daily.

Royal Theater

Royal Theater is a magnificent spot to watch a quick show starring a Disney princess. Currently, their two shows are Beauty and the Beast and Rapunzel. If you stick around after the show, you and your family can meet the star!

Snow White’s Wishing Well

Although there is no set schedule, you can often count on running into a princess at the Wishing Well. Just walk by at any time during the day and hop in line for a visit.

Pixie Hollow

Tinker Bell is not technically a princess but your kids may be just as enchanted to meet Peter Pan’s best friend. You can see her greeting guests in Pixie Hollow which is generally open from 11 AM to 4 PM.

Fantasyland

The great thing about Fantasyland is that you’ll never know who you may find. There are many instances when a Disney princess will be out wandering and greeting guests.

Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique

You and your children can also take a slow ride on a Storybook Land Canal Boat to get an up-close look at Where Anna, Elsa, Ariel, and Jasmine live.

it’s a small world

In this classic attraction, you will spot many Disney princesses like Mulan in China and Cinderella in France.

Special Event Locations

Parades

You and your family can catch many Disney princesses performing in the different parades throughout the park. It’s a fantastic option if you have kids who may not be comfortable meeting them in person and would prefer waving at them from a distance.

Mickey and Friends Cavalcades

Did you know that Disneyland also presents a daily cavalcade? It happens several times a day throughout the typical parade route. Your kids can easily smile and wave at princesses like Jasmine and Moana riding in Main Street vehicles.

Tips for a Magical Meet and Greet

To ensure that you and your kiddos have the best experience possible, we’ve gathered a list of the most practical advice for having an incredible Disney princess meet and greet:

Use the Disneyland App

The Disneyland app is the most useful tool you can use when looking for specific characters in the park. Whether you’re trying to find Captain Hook, Mickey, or your favorite Disney princess, the Disneyland app will give you complete information on where and when to find them.

Wear a Disney Princess Dress

Your children are going to want to look their best when they meet their favorite Disney princesses. You can opt to buy princess dresses at souvenir shops like  Fairy Tale Treasures in Disneyland.

However, if you’re looking to save, you can bring one from home and have them change into it right before the meet and greet!

Interact with the Disney Princess

Because the Disney princesses at Disneyland always stay in character, your interactions with them become much more unique. While waiting in line to meet, have your kids come up with a few questions they want to ask to make the experience a much more memorable one.

Capture the Moment by Taking Tons of Photos

Lastly, be ready to take lots of photos when your kids are interacting with their favorite Disney princesses. While there are Disney PhotoPass photographers ready to take pictures of the magical moment, you can always ask a nearby cast member to take your picture if there is no photographer available.

Character Dining Experiences

Disney Princess Breakfast Adventures can be found at Napa Rose inside Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel. It is a delicious 3-course meal that includes activities with some of the most popular Disney princesses.

Upon arrival, the Disney princesses will greet you and take a photo on a breathtaking private patio. Your kids can learn fun warrior poses with Mulan or take part in storytime with Belle. The little ones will even be presented with a special keepsake to take back home and remember their magical morning.

The breakfast comes with tasty offerings like a 4-tier tower of appetizers, royal desserts, and princess waffles. It costs $125 for both adults and kids, while kids under 3 can dine for free.

Seasonal and Special Princess Appearances

During certain Disneyland After Dark events and Halloween parties, you’ll find plenty of Disney princesses and their villains out and about to greet guests.

Sweethearts’ Nite features many princesses such as Princess Leia along with their prince. In the Oogie Boogie Bash, you can even catch Cinderella with Lady Tremaine and the stepsisters.

The annual Christmas Fantasy Parade is a holiday season classic at Disneyland with princesses dancing on floats during both daytime and evenings.

Final Words

There’s a remarkable sense of joy and wonder whenever you meet a Disney princess because of their huge impact on fans throughout the decades. Early princesses like Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty are admired for their beauty, charm, and grace. Newer princesses have determination, courage, and bravery.

While there are different ways to meet your favorite Disney princesses around Disneyland Resort, you can expect that many encounters will just happen when you least expect them.

It’s all part of the magical and enchanting experience that you’ll get at a Disney park!
