Disney Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa is a Disney Vacation Club Resort located overlooking the lake at Downtown Disney. What you may not realize is that even if you are not a DVC member you can still book the Saratoga Springs Resort hotel.
The hotel has a rather unusual theme – Victorian upstate New York elegance with a horse racing influence. The motto is “Health, History and Horses”.
Don’t let this slightly strange sounding theme deter you. Saratoga Springs is a good choice if you are looking for good quality Disney hotel accommodation which offers studio, one, two and three bedroom villas. They also have the very beautifully designed Treehouse Villas at Saratoga Springs Resort. It certainly isn’t the most luxurious, but it is one of the quietest and most reasonably priced for the size of the accommodation.
There are 18 buildings at Saratoga Springs. The main building is named The Carriage House and this is where you check in. The Carriage House also has the hotel dining options, both quick and full service restaurants, as well as being the location for the main resort pool.
The one thing that you do really need to be aware of is that if you are staying using Disney Vacation Club points then you will not get any housekeeping unless you pay for this in addition to your room rate. If you are not staying as part of DVC (so are paying cash and not renting points) then housekeeping is included in your rate.

Disney Saratoga Springs Resort Restaurants and Dining
The Turf Grill Club is Saratoga Springs full service dining restaurant. The Turf Grill serves American style cuisine in a restaurant which has great views of the golf course and Downtown Disney over the lake. The food is good but not outstanding. Many feel that the atmosphere here is more like a golf country club than a Disney resort.
Artist’s Palate offers quick service dining. It also offers snacks and some merchandise. It is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Disney Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa Recreation
The Rock Springs Pool has recently been refurbished. This 161,000 gallon pool features beautiful rock landscaping and the water cascades down into the main pool. The kids will love the water slide and the themed area with water fountains. There is the Rock Pool Bar which serves drinks (but no snacks).
There are also 3 quieter pools each with a hot tub at the Grandstand, Congress Park, and the Treehouse Villas sections of the resort. The Paddock section also has another themed pool with a water fountain play area.

Disney Saratoga Springs Resort Hotel Transportation
The resort is of course located close to Downtown Disney. You can either take the boat across the lake or take the 10 minute walk. The other Disney parks and resorts are accessible by Disney bus transportation. Guests report that often the transportation can take a while to get to the parks. It is probably the least convenient of all the Disney deluxe hotels.
