Have you seen the Maleficent Movie Trailer? Disney’s Maleficent movie is all set for release on May 30th 2014 and it certainly looks as though it is going to be a dark movie. It stars Angelina Jolie as Maleficent. Will she rise to the challenge of playing the iconic Disney Villain Maleficent?
The Maleficent movie is directed by Robert Stromberg who was production designer for Avatar, Oz The Great and Powerful and Alice in Wonderland. We can already see by the movie trailer and guess by the previous credits of Academy Award winning Stromberg just how the movie is going to look and feel.
What movie goers are wondering is how Angelina Jolie will live up to the iconic villain role of Maleficent. The trailer looks amazing so we can’t wait until the movie is released. Angelina Jolie has talked about how she was always fascinated by the Sleeping Beauty story when she was a child.
The Maleficent movie has a strong British cast with Imelda Staunton, Miranda Richardson and Kenneth Cranham being cast. Elle Fanning plays the role of Princess Aurora. The daughter of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, Vivienne Jolie-Pitt, plays the young Princess Aurora in the Maleficent movie.
