How Do You Get to Stay in Disney’s Cinderella Castle Suite?

Sharing is caring!

Ever wondered how to make a reservation for Disney’s Cinderella Castle Suite? Can you really spend the night inside the most famous castle at Walt Disney World?

The truth: yes, guests have stayed there… but it’s one of the rarest Disney experiences in the world.

Disney Cinderella Castle Suite

The Cinderella Castle Suite is the only overnight accommodation inside Magic Kingdom. Located in the heart of Cinderella Castle, this 650 square foot suite was originally designed as a space for Walt Disney and his family to stay in the park.

Walt passed away before the Magic Kingdom opened in 1971, and the suite sat unused for decades before being transformed into a dream prize during Disney’s Year of a Million Dreams (2007–2008).

Since then, only a very select few have been invited to stay.

A Disney Cinderella Castle Suite Reservation is, unfortunately, something that not even money can buy and is open only to a very fortunate few.

Can You Book a Reservation at the Cinderella Castle Suite?

Here’s the disappointing part: the suite cannot be booked — even if you’re willing to pay.

  • Money can’t buy a reservation. Disney does not sell nights in the Cinderella Suite.
  • Stays are typically awarded as part of special prize giveaways, sweepstakes, or chosen VIP experiences.

The last guest known to have stayed at the Cinderella Suite was Kevin Jonas and his wife Danielle as they celebrated their first wedding anniversary on December 19th, 2010.

Tom Cruise also stayed in the Cinderella Suite with Suri. Mariah Carey has also had the privilege of staying there.

So obviously being an international superstar, preferably one who has made Disney many millions of dollars, must help in getting a reservation!

Disney Cinderella Castle Suite Inside

Disney World first announced the creation of the Cinderella Suite in 2006.

The space which is now the Cinderella Castle Suite was originally intended to be a place that Walt Disney and his family would stay in the park.

Very few people have ever been inside, but here’s what makes the suite so magical:

  • Royal Bedroom: Two queen beds with ornate furniture, rich fabrics, and a magical portrait of Cinderella that transforms into a flat screen TV.

  • Cinderella’s Bathroom: A huge garden tub set beneath a twinkling “starry” ceiling with stained glass windows.

  • Elegant Details: Dark woods, opulent fabrics, and even Cinderella’s glass slipper on display.

  • Private Elevator: Guests enter through their own special lift straight into the suite.

Even though it’s smaller than most expect (650 sq. ft.), the design fully immerses you in a royal fairytale.

Before 2006 the space in Cinderella Castle was empty for most of its history since it was built in 1971.

However, at times it was used for storage. It was also the home of the Disney telephone operators for a while.

With the launch of The Year of A Million Dreams in 2007, Disney wanted something as a very special prize for a select few lucky guests.

How Much Does It Cost to Stay in the Cinderella Castle Suite?

Here’s the big secret: it isn’t available for sale at any price.

The only way to stay there is through:

  • Disney sweepstakes and promotions (very rare).
  • Special invitations and VIP guests.

The last publicly known overnight guests were Kevin Jonas and Danielle Jonas in 2010.

Very few people have ever seen behind the door of the Cinderella Castle Suite. However, here we have gathered some photos for you.

The Cinderella Suite makes you feel not just that you are inside the Castle but that you are immersed in the whole experience.

The inspiration for the design of the Cinderella Suite was the the17th-century French chateau upon which the Castle was modeled.

The Cinderella Suite has ornate furnishings in dark woods with opulent fabrics. Certainly, fit for a Disney Princess.

The bedroom has 2 beautiful Queen-sized beds facing an ornate fireplace. Above the bedroom fireplace is a 17th-century style portrait of Cinderella.

However, all is not what it seems as the portrait magically transforms into a flat-screen television.

A Princess shouldn’t have to lift a finger so there is a remote control for the lights and the fireplace.

Cinderella’s Glass Slipper finds pride of place in the Suite.

The Cinderella Suite bathroom has a huge garden tub with ornate stained glass windows and a twinkling star ceiling.

This is one of the most spectacular features of the Cinderella Suite.

The master bathroom has double sinks – Cinderella and her Prince can get ready together!

Guests may be surprised that it isn’t easy to get a view of the Magic Kingdom from the Suite. The windows are small and made of stained glass.

There is a balcony outside the Disney Cinderella Suite but it is not accessible for guests.

We would love to stay one night in the castle. We are going to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary on September 5th 2025. I think that would be very special and unforgettable.

Disney is my favorite place in the entire world. I would to love stay in the Cinderella suite, but know it’s only available for special situations. I did bring my daughter and 6 grandchildren, ages 23 to 13 for our dream vacation to Disney World. It was such a special time for all of us. We will never forget it. I have been so fortunate to have come to Disney 5 times. To stay in the Disney Castle would be one of the most exciting times in my life. You say what would I give to do that? I’m retired and I would love to work at Disney so I would work at Disney to pay a for the chance to stay in the Cinderella Suite.

I have always been a Disney girl. I see every Disney movie and know most of them by heart along with their songs. My first favorite was Alice in Wonderland and then it was The Little Mermaid. My Dad had to listen to the movie and my wonderful singing over and over again. I met my now husband when I was 22. Our first real date was at Disneyland. My parents could never afford to take my siblings and I. I was so excited and filled with so many emotions to finally live my dream of going to Disneyland. I was wearing my Alice in wonderland T-shirt and I was so excited because the first character I saw when I was entering the park was Alice. I had played out scenarios in my head how my first experience was going to be. I said excitedly, “Hi Alice!” She just ignored me and walked past me and said, I’m looking for the white rabbit and went into some door. I was so let down because I was the biggest Disney fan my whole life and then I was just ignored. I just want Disney workers to know that it’s not just special for little kids but also adults who are kids at heart. And there are probably many adults like me that didn’t get to Disneyland until later in life and we deserve a magical experience as well. It would be a bucket list accomplishment to get to fulfill my dream of staying in Cinderella’s Castle. It would be full circle for my husband and I because we did have a really fun first date there. My friend that went with us bought us the top hat and veil mouse ears and people thought we were engaged and let us cut in line on the rides. I would love to spend my anniversary September 6 in the Cinderella Castle. Maybe one day I will win a sweepstakes contest. After all a dream is a wish your heart makes and dreams really do come true.

My name is Linda Logan, I am a liver transplant survivor; going on 16 years, and not expected to have lived this long. But I'm amazingly healthy. I prayed to just let me see my sons married with children who love Disney as much as me and my granddaughters to. Then to catch the magic for a lifetime for them, with memories of me and Disney Magical heartbeat with their Oma; lasting a lifetime. Were leaving Disney today, as I wished upon my star at the Kings table, it was to bring my two little princess and one prince back to an overnight in the castle. My Disney wish would be granted. To sprinkle fairy dust as a family everywhere, with memories of Oma (grandma) to last their lifetime.
