Disney Cruise Line’s Alaska itineraries have always been among its most breathtaking adventures: glacier viewing, salmon runs, mountain air and Minnie Mouse in a parka!
But for 2026, there’s something rare happening.
For the first time ever, two Disney ships — the Disney Wonder and the Disney Magic — will both sail full Alaska seasons, and both are already showing major Guaranteed Rate discounts, with more reductions possibly on the horizon.

This combination of ship deployment and competitive pricing makes 2026 the year to check Alaska off your Disney Cruise bucket list.
What’s New for Disney Alaska Cruises in 2026
Disney Cruise Line currently lists multiple summer 2026 Alaska sailings departing from Vancouver, with itineraries that include exclusive glacier viewing days, historic ports, and breathtaking Alaskan wilderness.
So while both ships share the signature glacier day along the Stikine?Icecap and the stunning sail into?Skagway, the Wonder calls at?Juneau, while?the?Magic visits?Icy?Strait?Point?—?famous for its zipline and cultural heritage experiences.
For returning guests, that small change in ports gives a fun reason to sail both ships over different seasons.

The Current Deal Picture — Disney’s Guaranteed Stateroom Discounts
As of April 2026, Disney Cruise Line is offering select Guaranteed Rate staterooms for Inside, Oceanview and Verandah staterooms.
You won’t pick your stateroom number at booking — Disney assigns it later based on availability — but you’ll secure a lower, locked in fare on the same ship, same experience, and same magic.

I have booked Guaranteed Staterooms many times and always been happy with my stateroom allocation. For more on how this type of booking works you can see this article about How to Save Money on a Stateroom Guarantee
Actual Prices for Summer 2026
All prices below are for two guests, including taxes and port fees. (Rates as of April 13 2026.)
Note that these are starting rates for each category of stateroom.
Not every sailing includes guarantee rates and not every Category has guarantee rates.

Both ships are offering guarantee rates.
Yes —Verandahs Are Discounted Too
It’s much less likely to see verandah staterooms discounted on Alaska sailings, but it seems 2026’s capacity boost is changing that.
But don’t automatically think that you need a verandah stateroom. The price difference between an inside, and even an ocenview stateroom and a verandah is considerable.
I know that sitting on your balcony watching the Alaska scenery and wildlife is a very special thing. But you can still view this from the outside decks on the Disney Magic and Wonder – and save thousands of dollars.
The Deck 4 Promenade deck is a wonderful place to sit and enjoy the scenery. Also, Decks 9 and 10 are great viewing spots.
You might want to think about spending the savings on extras such as activities (which tend to be pricey in Alaska) or even keeping the savings to enjoy on another cruise.

Should You Wait for More Discounts…
This is a question I am also asking myself as I am flexible on the dates I can travel, so I can wait to see if there are any more discounts released in the coming weeks.
My guess, and it is only a guess, is that we will see more. Late August and September are not peak sailing times for Alaska, particularly Disney cruises as they rely more on families with children sailing during school vacation.
So I am willing to wait.
Disney typically refreshes discounts 90–120 days before sailing, which means additional offers could begin surfacing for August and September 2026 itineraries soon.
If you’re flexible on timing, consider watching prices for a few weeks to see if new late season deals appear.
But if you’re targeting June or July and see fares that fit your budget now, it’s smart to lock them in. These first wave promos often disappear as ships fill.

Wonder or Magic – How to Choose
The classic ships have the same basic design, and really it is difficult to choose between them.
My personal favorite is Disney Wonder, but that is largely because it was the first Disney ship I sailed on. I enjoy Disney Magic too and love Rapunzels Royal Table.

Each ship does have a different itinerary – so make sure you look at that.
This is really much more important than choosing one ship over the other as they are very similar.
