More news of what you will be able to enjoy on board the new Disney Treasure cruise ship.
We have now learned that Disney Treasure will have a new original Broadway style production when she sets sail in December 2024.
We already know that there will be Beauty and the Beast (which is already performed on Disney Dream), and the brand new “Disney Seas the Adventure” will feature in the Walt Disney Theatre on the Treasure.
The third production show for Disney Treasure is now confirmed to be “Disney The Tale of Moana.”
The announcement on Disney Parks Blog says that the show:
“will bring the adventurous journey of Moana, inspired by the Walt Disney Animation Studios film, to center stage for the first time. The show will follow Moana as she embarks on an incredible journey to save her island after she is chosen by the ocean to restore the heart of Te Fiti. Fans of the original film will recognize many beloved characters like Gramma Tala, Maui and Tamatoa when they appear on stage, as well as songs from the film’s iconic soundtrack”.
It really isn’t too much of a surprise that there is a show on Disney Treasure which is based on the Moana movie.
There were very heavy hints in the original promotional video for Disney Treasure which was first shown in September 2022. Moana appeared in the porthole.
Every character that appeared in that original video has now been revealed to have a major role in the design of the ship, with the notable exception of the The Hitchhiking Ghosts from the Haunted Mansion Ride.
We are guessing that there will be an announcement about a Haunted Mansion themed bar soon.
At first we thought that the Moana theme might be limited to a relatively small eatery on Disney Treasure. There will be a Heihei Cafe which is inspired by Moana.
Now of course we know that Moana will play a much bigger part on the Disney Treasure with the debut of the show Disney Treasure Announces The Tale of Moana in the Walt Disney Theatre.

Disney Treasure Sailings
Disney Treasure will sail a mix of 7-night Western and Eastern Caribbean sailings from Port Canaveral Florida.
Ports will include Tortola, St Thomas, Falmouth, Grand Cayman, and San Juan.
Each sailing will have a port stop on Disney’s Private Island Castaway Cay
