There were a number of surprises in the Disney Treasure Cruise Ship reveal which was aired on the Disney Parks Blog on September 5, 2023.
I have to say that part of the surprise was just how little it actually revealed.
However, not all the details were revealed in the video, so if you want to know many more of the things now confirmed by Disney Cruise Line that will feature then read on!
The biggest moment was probably the end of the video when it was announced that Disney Treasure would not set sail until December 2024.
Most people had expected that there would be a Summer 2024 launch, but now it seems that we will have to wait a considerable time longer for the first cruises on Disney Treasure to set sail from Port Canaveral.
The Disney Treasure’s Maiden Voyage is officially scheduled for December 21, 2024, on a special 7-night maiden Eastern Caribbean sailing.
It is a surprise that a Maiden Voyage will be over Christmas.
What do we now know about the Disney Treasure Cruise ship?
Here is the reveal video and below that I have written a detailed review of what we know now about Disney Treasure.
All pictures are Disney Concept Art
The Grand Hall
Well, we knew most of this already, but we got to see a little more of this.
The Grand Hall has a Princess Jasmine and Aladdin theme.
As is to be expected, the basic structure of the Disney Treasure is exactly the same as Disney Wish. This was never going to be any different.
Those who hoped for a third set of elevators were always going to be disappointed.
The interior design and color scheme of Disney Treasure uses darker and richer colors than Disney Wish. It will be interesting to see when this is completed which design guests prefer.
Disney Treasure Restaurants
Disney Treasure will have three rotational dining restaurants, but only two of the themes were announced in the reveal video.
However, we now know exactly what the third restaurant will be.
The first, perhaps surprising one, was Worlds of Marvel.
However, when I started to think about it, we really shouldn’t be too surprised that at least one of the Disney Wish restaurants will be repeated on Disney Treasure.
Because restaurants are repeated on all of the Disney ships.
Animator’s Palate is on four of the ships.
Palo is on all of the Disney ships and will be on Disney Treasure.
We were promised that there will be a new experience in Worlds of Marvel on Disney Treasure. At least that is something to get excited about.
I am sure that there will be a new menu as well and it won’t repeat the Worlds of Marvel Menu on Disney Wish.
Unfortunately, the thing that probably will be exactly the same, as I am not sure what they can do about this, is that the tables will be very close together, just as they are on Disney Wish.
The one restaurant that they announced which is new to all the ships is the Coco-themed restaurant.
The Plaza De Coco Restaurant will be located where Arendelle: A Frozen Dining Adventure is located on Disney Wish.
Not much was shown, other than the stage area of the restaurant.
I think this is a brilliant idea for a restaurant and really look forward to dining here. This was definitely a highlight of this reveal for me.
Once again, it is difficult to see how Disney Treasure can get over the design issues of the restaurants on Disney Wish.
The fundamental problem is that they are too small and the tables are too close together. In Arendelle and most likely Coco many people will not be able to see the stage very well.
The problem that they can get over is the sound. With all of Disney’s technical skills, I am sure that they can do something about the fact that the show in Arendelle is just so loud!
The third restaurant was not announced in the video but was on the DCL website.
The theme of the third restaurant for Disney Treasure will be 1923.
This is my favorite restaurant on Disney Wish, and many other people have this as their favorite. So repeating it on Disney Treasure really isn’t a problem.
Marceline Market will also be on Disney Treasure.
If you enjoyed Mickey and Friends Festival of Foods on the pool deck of Disney Wish you will be pleased to know that the Treasure will feature exactly the same dining options.
There will also be a Jade Cricket Cafe, inspired by Mulan, and Heihei Cafe which is inspired by Moana. Many had hoped for a themed Moana restaurant, but this expectation has been downsized quite a bit.
Adult Dining on Disney Treasure
Whilst nothing about adult dining was revealed on the video, it was confirmed on the DCL website that Disney Treasure will have Palo Steakhouse, Enchante and the Rose Bar.
This is exactly the same as Disney Wish.
Whilst we might be quick to be a bit disappointed by this, it really makes sense.
Disney Wonder and Disney Magic both have Palo and these are very similar.
Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy have Palo and Remy. Again, both are pretty much the same, although the interior design does vary.
The adult dining space on Disney Wish is beautiful, and The Rose Bar is a Hidden Gem.

Pools on Disney Treasure
Many people were wondering if the Pools on Disney Treasure would be the same as Disney Wish.
Getting back to the point where it is easy to change interior design, but you really can’t change much about the fundamental design of a ship, it is not exactly a surprise to be saying that the pools on Disney Treasure are exactly the same as Disney Wish.
I know that this won’t be great news to some people, but really it isn’t exactly unexpected.
You can see more about the design of the pools on Disney Wish in this article.
Adult Only Areas
Another question many have is whether the adult area will be the same as on the Wish.
The answer seems to be that yes it will be exactly the same, with the infinity pool at the aft of the ship.
One of the areas that I really enjoy on all the Disney ships is The Rainforest.
The design of the Rainforest on Disney Wish is the most controversial of all, and it looks as though Disney Treasure will be exactly the same.
I do wonder if they will change the layout of the interior of The Rainforest as this would be entirely possible to do.
Maybe not have the cold room and the thing in the middle of the room with the swings!

Shows on the New Ship
It was announced that Beauty and the Beast will be one of the shows on Disney Treasure.
Beauty and the Beast is already on Disney Dream.
We were told that there will be a new show for Disney Treasure and we can speculate about what that might be.
It isn’t a surprise that an existing show will be on Disney Treasure and only one new one is in development. The time and money that it takes to develop a new show is huge.
The production shows on Disney ships are outstanding. I have seen all of them multiple times, and I really don’t mind that there will only be one new show on the new Disney ship.
Many of the shows are on more than one ship. Frozen is performed on Disney Wonder and Disney Fantasy for example.
What will the new show on Disney Treasure be?
This was not announced on the Disney Treasure reveal video but is on the website.
” Disney Seas the Adventure, starring Goofy and other beloved Disney and Pixar friends as they journey through uncharted waters, complete with favorite songs from such films as The Princess and the Frog, Moana, Frozen II, and more”
Staterooms on Disney Treasure
Not very much was revealed, but that is probably because not very much will be different from Disney Wish.
The basic structure of the Treasure is the same as Disney Wish, therefore she will have exactly the same distribution of staterooms:
Here is a look at the different types of staterooms available on Disney Wish.
- 1,254 staterooms (includes 53 concierge staterooms and 23 concierge suites)
- 1,133 outside staterooms (90%)
- 948 verandah staterooms (70%)
- 185 oceanview staterooms (20%)
- 121 inside staterooms (10%)
The basic layout and facilities of the verandah staterooms are most likely exactly the same as Disney Wish. They are well-appointed and spacious, so you can be sure that all the staterooms are going to be well-designed.
The interior design of the Disney Treasure staterooms is going to be different. The tones are a little darker than on Disney Wish, more in keeping with the Aladdin theme.
The theme for this stateroom is Aladdin, and it will be interesting to see if this is the same for all the staterooms or whether there will be different character and movie themes as there are on Disney Wish.
We can see that at least some of the concierge staterooms have a Lion King theme, so I expect DCL will ensure that there are a number of different themes, as this is such a popular feature on Disney Wish.
We were given some idea of what the concierge staterooms will be like on Disney Treasure.
There are likely to be 53 concierge staterooms and 23 concierge suites, all with access to the Concierge Lounge and the Private Pool Deck.
The most luxurious staterooms on Disney Treasure will be the four Royal Suites and the Tomorrow Tower Suite.
We were given a look inside the concept art for the two-story Royal Suites
The themes are Bagheera and Rajah from The Jungle Book.
The suite located in the Funnel is named the Tomorrow Tower Suite on Disney Treasure. Perhaps surprisingly the theme is Epcot.
This is the first suite to be themed around one of the Disney theme parks.
Of course, the design of the Tomorrow Tower Suite is extremely luxurious.
And no doubt it will come with a huge price tag!
Here is a guide to How Much Does the Disney Wish Tower Suite Cost?
Bars on Disney Treasure
I think most of us were hoping for confirmation that there will be a Haunted Mansion-themed bar on Disney Treasure.
Well, we were disappointed.
However, we really shouldn’t give up hope, as not all the Disney Treasure bars were revealed in this new video.
The most likely location for the Haunted Mansion Bar, if that is what DCL has planned, is Hyperspace Lounge is on Disney Wish.
The Sarabi Bar
This will be located where Luna Lounge is on Disney Wish. Most likely this will be used for things such as adult entertainment in the evening, the Silent Disco, and trivia in the day.
It is great to see elements of Disney Treasure being themed after Disney Park rides (yes I’m still confident that there will be a Haunted Mansion theme somewhere).
Skipper Society is themed after one of Disneyland’s and Magic Kingdom’s favorite rides, The Jungle Cruise.
This is located where The Bayou is on Disney Wish.
Instead of the beignets you can purchase in the Bayou, The Skippers Lounge will offer waffles.
I am sure that Skippers Lounge will be a great place to relax or take part in one of the activities, but a first look at these artists’ impressions doesn’t wow me as much as the ones for The Bayou did.
However, it looks as though they are going to carry on the tradition of very innovative presentation of the drinks in the bars on Disney Treasure.
Inspired by the movie and the classic Disney ride, 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, the Periscope Pub is located where the Keg and Compass is on Disney Wish.
AquaMouse: Curse of the Golden Egg
The basic design of the AquaMouse will be the same as for Disney Wish.
But there is a new adventure that is described as “Perfect for those who think exploring ancient tombs is a good time”.
We will be joining Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse as they explore the mysterious Temple of the Golden Egg.
It’s great to see a Zootopia theme on a Disney ship.
Jumbeaux’s Sweets will be on Deck 11 of Disney Treasure, located where Inside Out: Joyful Sweets is on Disney Wish.
Jumbeaux’s Sweets will sell handmade Gelato and Ice Cream as well as a delicious selection of sweets.
