Is Free Dining Still the Best Deal?

While Free Dining has always been a popular promotion, it isn’t always the biggest savings for every family.

Some travelers may find that room discounts or other promotions offer better overall savings, depending on where they stay and how they typically dine.

Another factor in 2026 is Disney’s “Kids Eat Free” dining promotion, which allows children ages 3 to 9 to receive a free dining plan when adults purchase one. That offer can sometimes be combined with other discounts, which may make it more valuable for certain families.

Because of that, it’s always worth comparing deals before deciding which one works best for your trip.

Should You Book Now?

If you are considering a trip during these travel windows, booking early can be a smart move. Disney often releases additional discounts later in the year, and reservations can typically be modified if a better promotion becomes available.

For many guests, Free Dining can still be a convenient way to budget for meals during a Disney vacation, since it includes prepaid meals and snacks at more than 200 participating dining locations.

For now, the offer is limited to Disney Visa cardmembers through March 11, but Disney will likely release additional booking opportunities after the early access window ends.

If you’re planning a Walt Disney World trip in late 2026, this could be one of the first major discounts to consider.
