Is Food Included on a Disney Cruise? Many foods and dining options are included on a Disney cruise, however, you need to be aware of some things which you will be charged extra for.
Is Food Included on a Disney Cruise?
You could sail on a Disney cruise for many weeks and never have to spend anything extra on food. However, there are plenty of food and dining options which will tempt you to spend extra money.
Here we will start with what is included.
Disney Cruise Main Dining
Each Disney Cruise ship has 3 main dining restaurants. This is where you will dine each night on your Disney Cruise.
Disney Cruise Line has a unique dining concept – Rotational Dining. This is where you will change restaurants each night, but your Servers will come with you.
This is a great opportunity for your servers to get to know your likes and dislikes much better. All of the Disney Cruise Ships have the restaurant Animator’s Palate.
Here is a list of the Disney Cruise Main Dining Restaurants for Each Ship:
Disney Wonder Restaurants
- Animator’s Palate
- Tiana’s Place
- Triton’s
Here is a Disney Wonder Restaurant Guide if you want to know more.
Disney Magic Restaurants
- Animator’s Palate
- Rapunzel’s Royal Table
- Lumiere’s
Disney Fantasy Restaurants
- Animator’s Palate
- Enchanted Garden
- Royal Court
Disney Dream Restaurants
- Animator’s Palate
- Enchanted Garden
- Royal Palace
Here is a Disney Dream Restaurant Guide if you want to know more.
All of these Disney Cruise restaurants are included in the price of your sailing. The only thing that you will pay extra for in these restaurants is the specialty beverages, such as cocktails and wine.
Soda, coffee, and tea are always free in the restaurant. For a guide to which drinks are included on a Disney Cruise, you can see our article at Which Drinks are Free?
All of the restaurants are open for dinner. There will also always be one restaurant that is open for breakfast and lunch. All the food is included for all meals.
Disney Cruise Cabanas Buffet
Each of the Disney ships has a buffet that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. At dinner, Cabanas serves a version of the main dining menu.
Everything in the buffet is included.
You will certainly never be short of food choices at a Disney Cruise Buffet.
Disney Cruise Pool Deck Food
You will also find a lot of choice of food on the Disney Cruise Pool Decks. Most of this food is included on a Disney Cruise, but some is available at an extra charge.
Pinocchio’s Pizzeria
This is on the Disney Wonder and the Disney Magic. If you want a quick slice of pizza this is your go-to spot on the Classic Disney Ships.
This is included in the cruise fare and there is nothing extra to purchase here.
Pete’s Boiler Bites
You will find this on the Disney Wonder. It serves burgers, fries, hot dogs and tacos. A relatively new feature is the Middle Eastern-inspired.
Daisy’s De-Lites
This is the place to go if you want something a little more healthy including salads, sandwiches, wraps, and fruit.
This is one of my favorite spots which you will find on the Disney Wonder and Magic.
Eye Scream Treats
This is one of the most popular snack locations because it has self-service ice cream machines! You will find this on all of the Disney Cruise Ships.
There are some extra charge items available here, such as smoothies and the ever-popular Dole Whip.
Duck-In Diner
The Duck-In-Diner is only found on the Disney Magic. It serves Middle Eastern-inspired shawarma as well as hamburgers and hot dogs.
Frozone Treats
This is on all the ships, except Disney Wonder. This serves specialty smoothies for an additional charge.
Flo’s Cafe
This is located only on the Disney Fantasy and Dream. Flo’s Cafe is the name of a collection of 3 different eateries that are inspired by the Disney in Pixar Car’s Movie.
The 3 places are Luigi’s Pizza, Tow Mater’s Grill and Fillmore’s Favorites. Here you will find burgers, chicken, pizza, salads, and sandwiches.
Which Food is Not Included on a Disney Cruise?
There are a number of places where food is charged as extra on a Disney Cruise.
You could very well sail on a Disney cruise for months without ever paying extra for food, but there are some very definite temptations!
Disney Cruise Palo Restaurant
Each of the four Disney Cruise Ships has a Palo restaurant. It is an adult-only restaurant serving food with an Italian influence. Disney Palo serves dinner every evening and brunch on sea days.
There is a charge of $40 per person for both Palo brunch and dinner. This does not include gratuity.
The Palo brunch has a huge selection of very high-quality buffet items.
It is very difficult to know what to choose, but make sure you leave room for at least one of these deserts.
You can also order from the Disney Palo Brunch Menu.
You are offered one complimentary sparkling wine or Mimosa. A full bar is available, but why not treat yourself to a Bellini or a Palo Bloody Mary?
A Palo Dinner also has a charge of $40 per person. If you are looking for a romantic dinner, a date in Palo is a must.
There is also a set menu for $56 per person.
On the dessert menu, my particular favorite is the Amaretto Souffle. However, it is so difficult to choose between this and the Chocolate Souffle, or the Tiramisu.
The Limoncello Tart is also amazing!
It is nice to round off the Palo dinner with a liqueur – at any extra charge.
Disney Remy Restaurant
Remy is only offered on the Disney Fantasy and the Dream. It is a 5-star dining experience and is regarded as one of the premier dining experiences at sea.
Remy restaurant offers four different and highly exceptional culinary experiences. These are Remy Champagne Brunch, Remy Dinner, Remy Dessert Experience, and Petites Assiettes de Remy.
Remy Champagne Brunch is a very indulgent experience. Remy Brunch costs $75 per person. If you want the optional wine pairing that is an additional $30.
I know you might think that $75 is over the top for a brunch experience, but we think it is one of the finest out there. It is highly recommended, particularly with the champagne pairing.
Another option in the Remy restaurant is the Remy Dessert Experience for $60 per person. If you enjoy desserts you will love this 5-course dessert menu which is served with coffee. The wine pairing is an additional $25 per person.
Petites Assiettes de Remy is available for a charge of $50 per person and this includes the wine pairing.
For this unique Remy experience, you combine small plates with a 6-course wine tasting. The Petites Assiettes de Remy is hosted by the Executive Chef and the Sommelier of Remy.
Petites Assiettes de Remy is only available on the first day of your Disney cruise sailing and is held in the early evening.
Wanting to sample one of the finest dining experiences at sea? Remy Dinner is served every night on the Disney Fantasy and Dream.
Remy Dinner may seem like an extravagance at $125 per person. Add another $105 if you want the wine pairing.
However, dining at Remy is an experience that you really should indulge in at least once in a lifetime. The quality of the food and service at Remy is exceptional.
Disney Cruise Preludes
All of the Disney Ships have a concession stand outside the Walt Disney Theatre. All of the items at Preludes are an extra charge.
Preludes tempts you with popcorn, cookies, and has an extensive bar menu. If you miss it on the way into the Walt Disney Theatre there are plenty of servers walking around to bring whatever you want directly to your seat.
There is often a popcorn stand outside the Buena Vista Theater. See if you can resist the smell of popcorn as you are walking in to watch a movie!
Disney Cruise Bar Food
Some of the bars on Disney Cruise Ships also sell food. One of the most popular of these is the new French Quarter Bar on the Disney Wonder.
Here you can satisfy your craving for Princess Tiana’s beignets!
The Crown and Finn pub on the Disney Wonder also offers food for an extra charge.
Is Disney Cruise Room Service Free?
Most of the Disney Cruise Room Service Menu is available free of charge.
However, there are some extra charge items on the Room Service Menu.
Remember that even though the actual food is free you need to tip your server. We have this guide to help you know all about Tipping on a Disney Cruise.
