The production team behind the success of the 2011 Muppet movie will reunite for the sequel and will once again be directed by James Bobin.
The 2011 Muppet movie did venture overseas with Miss Piggy living in Paris, and the sequel will take on an even more international flavor. Berlin, Madrid and London will be the locations for the new Muppet adventure. As you would expect things do not go smoothly for the Muppets when they become embroiled in the international crime scene. Kermit finds he is easily mistaken for the World’s Number One Criminal, Constantine. Lots of adventures follow of course. Ricky Gervais plays criminal sidekick Dominic, aka Number Two. Tina Fey stars as Nadya, an opinionated prison guard, Ty Burrell stars as Interpol agent Jean Pierre Napoleon.
The scene is set for the Muppet Movie sequel to be every bit as successful as the 2011 movie which was a great introduction to the world of Kermit and friends for a new generation. My children had never seen the original Muppet series but loved the movie. And for those of us who remember the original Muppets it was great to catch up with old friends! Definitely looking forward to The Muppets …Again!
