Who wants a first look at the new Disney Cruise ship the Disney Wish?
The Disney Wish will not be launched until Summer 2022, but there is now a way that you can get a look at the new Disney Cruise ship much earlier than the launch.
Adventures by Disney River Cruises
Adventures by Disney has just announced a lot of new itineraries for River Cruising for 2021.
If you are sailing on any of the Adventures by Disney cruises which sail on the River Rhine in 2021 you can book an excursion which includes a visit to the Meyer Weerft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany.
This is where the Disney Wish will be constructed. What an amazing opportunity to get a close-up look at the Disney Wish before it is launched.
This excursion will be at an additional cost and will include a hard hat tour guided by an Imagineer with an exclusive look at the new Disney Wish under construction.
Adventures by Disney River Cruises Itineraries
Adventures by Disney has rapidly expanded its choice of River Cruising itineraries since it first offered them in 2016. Initially, there was only one choice of River Cruise and that was on the River Danube.
The River cruises have proved to be very popular and Disney obviously sees this as an expanding market for family travel. Most of the Disney Cruises are suitable for children (often a minimum recommended age is given). However, there are also some adult-only departures.
Now there are 30 Adventures by Disney River Cruise sailings announced for 2021. Sailings are for these European Rivers:
- Danube
- Rhine
- Rhone
- Seine
Adventures by Disney Rhine Cruises
The Rhine cruise is an 8-day/7 night cruise that sails through 4 European countries.
The sailings are aboard the chartered AmaMora or AmaSiena. Disney doesn’t (yet) have it’s own river cruising boats, but charters them from the prestigious Ama Waterways Line.
The departures for the sailings are late May through August 2021. There are also departures in 2020, but these do not include the Disney Wish excursion opportunity.
