There are two main Tiana’s Place menus. The Mardi Gras Menu is served on all sailings.
If you are sailing on a 7 night or longer Disney Wonder cruise you will also have the Tiana’s Place Prince and Princess Menu.
There are also some special menu items for the Disney Wonder Alaskan Cruises which feature regionally inspired dishes.
Tiana’s Place Restaurant
Tiana’s Place is located on the Disney Wonder cruise ship. Themed brilliantly after the Princess and the Frog, Tiana makes everyone welcome in her very own restaurant.
Tiana’s was formerly Parrot Cay restaurant on the Disney Wonder. The refurbishment was a huge success with a make over to fit the Princess and the Frog theme.
The atmosphere is very much a New Orleans style party. The brilliant Crawfish Crooners keep everyone entertained with live music.
You can see the stage below which is located at the back of the restaurant.
The band is really good, but I do have one complaint. The sound in the restaurant is just too loud. And this isn’t just me saying this. Plenty of Disney Wonder guests agree that the sound system in Tiana’s Place just isn’t quite right.
This was made much worse one time when we got what at first we thought was a great seat just in front of the stage. It was pretty soon after being seated that we realized that any attempt at conversation was just really not going to work out.
Princess Tiana is your hostess and she will sing and make sure she visits every table.
Tiana’s Place Mardi Gras Menu
This is served on all Disney Wonder cruises.
This is one of my favorite of all the dinners on the Disney Wonder as it has the Mardi Gras celebration where everyone is encouraged to dance at the end of the meal.
The Crawfish Crooners entertain you throughout the meal and Tiana sings and comes to greet you at your table.
The design of the front of the menu fits perfectly with the Princess Tiana restaurant theme.
Here is a video produced by Disney Cruise Line which features Tiana’s Place Restaurant. It even shows our favorite server Natesha right at the start!
Tiana’s Place Appetizers
- Boudin Sausage Fritters with Minced Pork and Boudin Sausage, Breaded and Fried, served with a Bourbon Aioli
- Prince Naveen’s Cajun Charcuterie Board – cured Pork Shoulder, Duck Rillette, Duck Pastrami, Saucisson, Cajun Egg, Spiced Mustard and Pickles
- Sautéed Gulf Shrimp and Grits with Andouille Sausage, Grilled Green Onions and a Smoked Barbecue Sauce
- Ahi Tuna Tartare with Mango, Pine Nuts, Radish and Wasabi
The Boudin Sausage Fritters are pretty good apparently.
I do think, however, that the presentation could be a lot better. I am not sure why they present it on this darker plate. The garnish could be more imaginative too!
Soup and Salad
- Pickled Gulf Shrimp and Satsuma Salad
- Mama Odile’s Creamy Tomato Soup
- Iceberg Wedge Salad
- New Orleans Seafood Pepper Pot
One of the brilliant things about Tiana’s Place is the attention to detail. This dinnerware has such a beautiful design.
The Pickled Gulf Shrimp and Satsuma Salad is one of my favorites. The acidity of the satsumas really balances well with the shrimp and the dressing.
Another thing I really love is the plates and glasses. I do wish that they sold these in the store but they don’t!
The New Orleans Seafood Pepper Pot is good, but not outstanding.
I like it because it has some scallops in it. I avoid the calamari though!
The Iceberg Wedge Salad is pretty ordinary. The dressing is fine, but the tomatoes usually taste of pretty much nothing.
Tiana’s Place Bread Service
I can’t talk about this Disney Tiana’s Place Menu without mentioning the bread service. This Brioche Bread is so good. The only problem is that it is difficult to stop eating it!
I always really enjoy the Onion Dip too.
Mardi Gras Entrees
- Charlotte La Bouff’s Bucatini Pasta with Pancetta, Oyster Mushrooms, Eggplant, Spinach, Peas, Basil and shaved Parmigiano-Reggiano Cheese
- Cajun Spiced Sea Bass on Shrimp Jambalaya with crisp Fennel Salad and Rémoulade
- Roasted Creole Half Chicken with Toasted Corn, Pecan Bread Pudding, Buttered Chard and Chicken Jus
- James’s Roasted Pork Tenderloin sliced Pork Tenderloin with White Rice and Greens on an Andouille Sausage Stew
- Big Daddy’s Roasted Prime-Rib of Beef with a double Baked Potato, Broccolini, sweet Roasted Carrots and a Red Wine Veal Sauce
Big Daddy’s Prime Rib is certainly a large portion of beef. DH said it would benefit from more green vegetables to balance it out.
The Cajun Spiced Sea Bass is a favorite.
Vegetarian Entrees at Tiana’s Place on the Disney Wonder
- Eudora’s Artichoke Ravioli with Sautéed Spinach, Lemon Butter, Sage, and Pecorino Cheese
- Honey-Roasted Butternut Squash with Celery and Bell Peppers simmered in Tomato Sauce with Greens and White Rice
Eudora’s Artichoke Ravioli is pretty good but not my favorite. This may have been as I had a similar, but superior dish, for a Palo brunch.
The Honey-Roasted Butternut Squash is definitely not a favorite! It just isn’t very imaginative or tasty for a vegetarian entree. We would always choose the Artichoke Ravioli instead. I have no idea why this is presented on

Tiana’s Place Specialty Mardi Gras Drinks Menu
If you want to indulge in an after-dinner coffee or liqueur there is a great selection. If you just want coffee, tea or soda these are included in your cruise cost.
Tiana’s Place Dessert Menu
- Tiana’s Buttermilk Beignets dusted with Powdered Sugar and Served with Chocolate Espresso Dipping Sauce
- Chocolate Doberge Gateau si-layer Sponge Cake filled with Chocolate Chantilly Creme
- Mama Odie’s White Chocolate Bread Pudding with Praline Sauce and Vanilla Ice Cream
- New Orleans Bananas Foster Sundae French Vanilla Ice Cream with Rum-flavored Caramelized Bananas and Whipped Cream
- Southern Style Pecan Nut Tart with Bourbon Caramel Sauce
- No Sugar Added Lemon Raspberry Mousse Bombe Citrus Lemon Mousse embedded with fresh Raspberries
You have to try the classic Tiana Beignets. They are delicious. I do wish they served them with a berry sauce as well as I am not really a chocolate fan.
I love the design of the lily pad mat and the ornate colored glasses.
If you like the Beignets you can also purchase then in the French Quarter Bar which is located adjacent to Tiana’s Place.
Chocolate is not my thing, but apparently this cake is really good.
I am in the minority I think but I prefer Mama Odie’s White Chocolate Bread Pudding to the Beignets.
The Lemon Raspberry Mousse Bombe is really good, particularly for a No Sugar Added dessert.
Tiana’s Place Prince & Princess Dinner Menu
This will be served on the longer cruises where your rotational dining schedule will mean that you have at least 2 nights at dinner in Tiana’s Place.
This is definitely my preferred menu of the two at Tiana’s Place.
Tiana’s Appetizers
- Sliced Gravlax Marinated Slices of Salmon with Honey-Mustard Dressing
- Duck and Pistachio Terrine with Caramelized Orange Peel and Cilantro
- Buttered Green and White Asparagus Spears with Tomato Bearnaise
- Louisiana Hot Crab Dip with Toasted Croutons
The Sliced Gravlax is one of my favorites although not as good as the Smoked Salmon Tartar at Triton’s.
The Asparagus Spears were nothing special. I am not sure it had the Tomato Bearnaise which is shown on the menu.
Asparagus really has to be in season and cooked perfectly and this really wasn’t.
The Hot Crab Dip is another favorite. It has just the right balance of crab and creamy sauce. Very indulgent but worth it!
Salads and Soup
- Country Green Lentil Soup with Paprika, Chorizo Sausage, and Vegetables
- Cream of Wild Mushroom Forest Soup with White Truffle Oil and Chives
- Caesar Salad with Romaine Leaves, Broccolini and Garlic Croutons tossed in a Creamy Caesar Dressing
- Coronation of Mixed Leaves, Vine Tomatoes, Apples, Candied Walnuts, and Aged Red Wine Vinegar
The Caesar Salad is always a good standby with a good balance of croutons and dressing.
Tiana’s Place Main Dishes
- Lime-Marinated Jumbo Shrimp with Jambalaya Rice, Chicken, Andouille Sausage, Celery, and Cajun Spices
- Oven-Roasted Tom Turkey Breast with Green Beans, Mashed Sweet Potatoes, Rosemary Stuffing, Giblet Gravy, and Cranberry Relish.
- Trio of Veal Grilled Tenderloin, pulled Shank and Tortellacci Pasta with a Sun-dried Tomato and Sage Reduction Garnished with a Potato Crisp
- New York Sirloin Steak with Truffle-layered Potatoes, Honey Parsnips, and Buttered Spinach with a Pepper Sauce on the Side
- Grilled Rum-Marinated Swordfish with Black Bean Muneta, Roasted Corn and Sweet Potato Fries
Vegetarian Entrees
- Brown Rice Risotto with Lentils, Leeks, Carrots, and Parsnips
- Vegetable Lasagna Layered Baked Pasta and Vegetables with Mozzarella and Provencal Sauce
The Risotto has a really good flavor. The parsnip chips add a sweet flavor that goes well with the dish.
The Lasagne is pretty good but not very creative.
Lighter Note Offerings
- Chicken Pie Salad with Lemon-Marinated Roasted Chicken Breast with Tomatoes, Cucumbers, Chickpeas, Mint and Feta Cheese tossed in a Lemon Dressing.
- Grilled Grain-fed Sirloin Steak Served with Garden Vegetables and your choice of Steamed White Rice or Baked Potato
- Slow Roasted Breast of Chicken Served with Garden Vegetables and your choice of Steamed White Rice or Baked Potato
- Oven-Baked Filet of Salmon Served with Garden Vegetables and your choice of Steamed White Rice or Baked Potato
Tiana’s Place Dessert Menu
- Prince Naveen’s Flourless Chocolate Cake Layered with Vanilla and Chocolate Cream with Hazelnut Sauce
- Lousiana Root Beer Creme Served with Cherry Parfait and Honeycomb Crunch
- Maldonia Berry Financier Almond Crumble Cake with Berry Compote
- Tiana’s Place Sundae Rocky Road Ice Cream topped with Chocolate Fudge Bites, Chocolate Sauce, and Whipped Cream
- Banoffee Cream Pie Caramel Toffee base Topped with Bananas and an abundance of Whipped Cream
- No Sugar Added Tiramisu Lady Fingers soaked in Amaretto Espresso and layered with Mascarpone Cream
The Banoffee Pie certainly does have an abundance of Whipped Cream!
If you love chocolate you are going to enjoy Prince Naveen’s Flourless Chocolate Cake.
The Almond Crumble Cake is pretty good and a relatively light dessert.
